KIM, OMG that is so scarry, i'm glad they are both feeling better though. And wow, could you really be almost in the second trimester already? Time sure does go fast. Well J had her 1 year check up. She is 21 lbs. and 29.5 in. The doc. says she is doing well but we had to do shots and a blood draw today to check for lead poisining, i guess that is mandatory. Poor J she hated it all and it was so hard for me to have to hold her down while they drew the blood. It seemed like the lady was going so slow, i just wanted to yell at her and tell her to hurry up, can't she see my baby is in pain. Ok i need to go to bed, J has decided 5:15 am is her new wake up time. LOL

Kim, how scary, I have heard of febrile seizures, and hope mine never have one! I am glad your girls are starting to feel better! Ryan had hands, foot and mouth when he was 5 and it was horrible, I remember it lasted longer than a week. Congrats on being to the second trimester. I know some people say that 12 weeks is the second and some say 13 weeks is but I always counted 12 weeks as the end of the first. Tanya, I don't have internet at home and can't really use the computer at work to set up a account with cafe mom so I am stuck here for now. I do want to join once we have internet again. Dh is hopefully going to be hired for Glad soon. His supervisor asked him if he was interested and of course he said yes. He has to bring in his high school diploma and then she will set up a interveiw with them. Problem is we had to send off for a copy of his diploma because of course we can't find his. I don't know how long it will take...urgh! He has been pulling alot of overtime the last couple of weeks so that will make his checks bigger, but the extra hours are killing him. He worked 52 hours in 4 days already! Not to mention I am losing my mind playing mom and dad while he is sleeping or working being he works the night shift. I just hope he gets hired soon before we lose everything. All my bills are behind and my truck is up for repossesion but they are going to work with us, if we make a payment this Friday they are going to put the rest on for a later payment date and excuse the late fees. I just don't know how much longer we can hold out. His wage is only $8.45 hourly! That is a $5 an hour pay cut from what he got last year. We are just really dying here! Anyways wish him Luck guys! Kyleigh's birthday is Saturday! We are having a very small party because of finances which aggrevates me, I always go all out on thier birthdays. Oh and Kyleigh had he 1 year check up last week and she weighed 23 lbs. 5 oz. and is 28 inches long. Still short and chubby!

Oh, and Lisa I am so glad Ethan is ok! Must be the same thing my brother use to do!

Krissy25 - August 13th, 2008 5:19 PM

KIMBERLY i really hope your situation changes soon, i don't know how companies expect families to live off of such low wages. Kyleigh is really growing there, did she have a good doctors appt? Have fun at her b-day party, even if it is small. Seriously though J's b-day parties are going to be small events from now on, it's just too stressful to do it big. I wanted it big b/c it was her first but it was such a headache to get ready for it and then i had to clean it all up.

kimberly - August 14th, 2008 9:45 AM

Gosh, I just re read my post from yesterday...sorry about the rant!!! I am just so stressed I guess. Krissy, her appointment went well, she is healthy as ever! I can't believe my baby is a year old already, gosh time really flies! Isaac starts kindergarten Monday, I hope he does ok. He went to preschool for only 4 months and he was never in daycare before that. I just hope he has a smooth transition...I think I am more nervous then he is. Ryan is going in to the 4th grade...makes me feel old. Have a great weekend ladies, in case I can't get on here tomorrow.

kimberly - August 20th, 2008 10:46 AM

Wow, none of you have been around! We had Kyleigh's party on Saturday. It turned out great! I made her a ladybug cake and it looked really cute. She got tons of clothes, and a couple of dolls. How is everyone doing?

kim00 - August 24th, 2008 10:06 AM

Kimberly and Krissy, I'm glad your parties went well. Today is Kenadie's birthday!! So we made her a bear cake and got her the fisher price baby gymnastics bounce and spin zebra. It looks so cute. We'll have her party this evening, so I hope it goes well. I went into the dr the other day and they did a repeat u/s. They changed my dd to mar 18. The baby looks really good :) I got some cute 3d pics. everyone have a great day!!

Krissy25 - August 24th, 2008 12:49 PM

Hey KIM i'm glad the baby is doing well. So i guess they pushed the date back a little? I hope Kenadie's b-day party goes well adn she gets lots of cute things.

javidsgirl - August 26th, 2008 1:54 PM

hey ladies thought i would check in to see how you are doing? hope all our mommies are doing well

kimberly - August 28th, 2008 11:15 AM

Hello mommies! How is everyone? Kim, glad all is going well with your pregnancy! I hope the morning sickness has gotten better.I hope the birthday party went good for you all! I wonder how Tiffany is doing in her pregnancy and Amanda. Amanda should be getting pretty far along now. Isaac has finally adjusted to Kindergarten. He finally had two days in a row without a bad mark in his folder. lol! He never got into trouble in preschool but the first 2 weeks of kindergarten have been rough. He has been in trouble for not listening during carpet time, not keeping his hands to himself, and running in the classroom, talking during story time, and the list goes on. But, I think we turned a corner this week, he seems much happier and he was on green for 2 days in a row, so I am crossing my fingers it was just the transition period. Ryan has always done so well in school so it was kind of a surprise when Isaac hasn't been such a good little boy. Ryan however is doing great as usual. I worry about his behavior more when he is home playing with his friends than when at school. I am rambling because I have nothing else to talk about. lol! Have a good one ladies!

Krissy25 - August 28th, 2008 6:08 PM

Wow the new set up really threw me off. I scrolled down and saw a post of mine from a while ago and i was like "wait, that can't be the last post." then i saw that we had 3 pages of posts and i was like "oh, I get it." Yeah, i'm a little slow sometimes. I like that they got rid of the military time, it was hard enough that the time is always a little off b/c they go by eastern standard time but to add the 24 hour clock, I just never got use to it. Anyway, KIMBERLY i'm glad Isaac has adjusted to kindergarten, I'm sure that is a big load off your mind. And TANYA I just have to give you a little more trouble, flashcards?!?!? Um, if my dd saw those she would want to eat them, LOL. Sounds lile Miram is going to be one smart cookie, good for her though and good for you for working so hard with her. I don't know if we will be doing flashcards anytime soon but i have gotten out more books and we are looking at objects more so hopefully that will get some more words out of her.

javidsgirl - August 28th, 2008 8:27 PM

yeah flashcards they just pictures and the word of the object of things like spoon, baby, cup, simple words like that mariam doesnt eat them she like to look at them though she is not to bad with putting things in her mouth except if it's food

kim00 - August 28th, 2008 9:58 PM

Tanya, wow that's cool about doing flashcards. But I know Kenadie would just eat them, she eats everything food or not. Kimberly, I'm glad Isaac is adjusting to kindergarten. Kylee also started and is loving it...but I'm still having a hard time with it, I'm such a bawl baby I still cry everytime she gets on the bus. The birthday party went well and she got lots of cute things. The morning sickness is starting to taper off, thank heavens. Hope everyone is doing well...nighty night.

kimberly - August 29th, 2008 10:13 AM

Kim, glad the morning sickness is going away! I was more of a wreck when Ryan started kindergarten then I am now with Isaac. I guess I was kind of ready this time for him to go off to school. (but it does still make me a little sad) He had another good day yesterday so I feel like he will be just fine with his behavior now. He just has way to much energy. I worry about adhd with him but hopefully I am wrong. He never sits still, and I mean Never! I think it is just hard for him to contain all that energy all day long. He runs around the house like a crazy person for hours when he gets home. He plays so hard that he is constantly out of breath and can barely speak. Its like all that energy just burst out when he gets home. Drives me crazy. lol! Glad Kylee has adjusted fine!

kimberly - August 29th, 2008 10:18 AM

Oh, and Tanya, thats one smart girl you have! Ryan has always been like that. He talked very early and he could reconize all his abc's at 18 months. I bet she will always be very smart!

moescrilla - September 2nd, 2008 10:20 PM

hey girlies! I came by recently - but didnt see the august post in the infant forum anymore, so I thought everyone had moved on, but I came back by tonight and decided to check the toddler forum and here you are! Leyton just celebrated is first birthday on the 28th. It was Thursday, so we did cake and icecream with just us, and then Saturday we had his party. It was exhausting - and to top it all off, I get to do it again on sept. 28th (Micahs b-day, he'll be 3) I might not do it at my house though like I did Leytons. There are too many people and my house is way too small. Leyton is doing great, he's huge (almost 33 inches and about 26 lbs) Micah was 27 inches and about 20 lbs at a year old, and 32 inches at 2! lol! He's still not walking, but he is cruising and trying to walk. He says mamma, dadda, bye bye, bubba, night night (nye nye) and nana. He is starting to call us too - a few minutes ago my husband and Micah walked outside and Leyton hollered "DADDA!" then he said "Bubba!" and he's learned to get my attention by saying Momma. The other night I was putting him to bed and I told micah "tell your brother night night" and Leyton said it instead! I love the new milestones, but I miss my little baby too. He also has 12 teeth (inlcuding 4 molars or whatever there called-- the ones in the back). They come in pairs. And Micah - LORD! He's growing up too fast. He sits here all day just talking and making up stories and telling me the funniest things! I love it also but again, miss my baby! Hope all is well w
