hey girlies! I came by recently - but didnt see the august post in the infant forum anymore, so I thought everyone had moved on, but I came back by tonight and decided to check the toddler forum and here you are! Leyton just celebrated is first birthday on the 28th. It was Thursday, so we did cake and icecream with just us, and then Saturday we had his party. It was exhausting - and to top it all off, I get to do it again on sept. 28th (Micahs b-day, he'll be 3) I might not do it at my house though like I did Leytons. There are too many people and my house is way too small. Leyton is doing great, he's huge (almost 33 inches and about 26 lbs) Micah was 27 inches and about 20 lbs at a year old, and 32 inches at 2! lol! He's still not walking, but he is cruising and trying to walk. He says mamma, dadda, bye bye, bubba, night night (nye nye) and nana. He is starting to call us too - a few minutes ago my husband and Micah walked outside and Leyton hollered "DADDA!" then he said "Bubba!" and he's learned to get my attention by saying Momma. The other night I was putting him to bed and I told micah "tell your brother night night" and Leyton said it instead! I love the new milestones, but I miss my little baby too. He also has 12 teeth (inlcuding 4 molars or whatever there called-- the ones in the back). They come in pairs. And Micah - LORD! He's growing up too fast. He sits here all day just talking and making up stories and telling me the funniest things! I love it also but again, miss my baby! Hope all is well w

Morgan, I am glad things are going so great for you! Leyton sounds huge, Kyleigh weighed 23 lbs. and was 28 inches. right before her birthday. Not many of us are on here anymore. I guess everyone is on Cafe mom now. I still visit here when I am at work because I get bored. Kyleigh is doing great! She has been walking for about a month now and she can say a few words. Mama, dada, baba (which we just took away 4 days ago), uv(love) itty (kitty), no, this, yes, that, ook (look), I think there are a couple more. We took the bottle away and she is actually ok with it. She don't drink whole milk real well yet but she is getting better about it. She didn't like any kind of sippy at first but now the Nuby seems to be working. How is everyone else?

Krissy25 - September 3rd, 2008 8:29 PM

Kimberly my dd loves the nubys too, in fact she won't drink from anything else. Morgan sounds like you have a big boy, it's good to hear from you, i'm glad everyone is doing well. Jacquelyn isn't walking yet either, i feel like it will be soon, but it seems like it is taking forever. But i know just like everything else she has learned once she gets it she'll be a pro in no time.

kimberly - September 4th, 2008 10:18 AM

Krissy, don't worry about Jacquelyn, she will walk when she is ready. As you know they do everything on thier own time. My nieces son is 15 months and is just now starting to walk, he has done everything else right on que so I am sure he has no issues other than he just preferred to crawl. I know with your first it can be easy to get caught up on what other babies are doing and what yours isn't yet. She is probably just perfecting her other skills right now!

kim00 - September 4th, 2008 11:23 AM

Hey ladies!! Kenadie isn't walking either, and Kylee didn't walk till she was 14 mnths. She is saying some things, mama, dada, baba (bottle), and nye nye (night night). She waves, gives high fives and kisses. The kids are sick again, another dang cold. It has been so cold here for the past week, I'm not ready for fall yet. gotta run the kids are calling.

slackette - September 8th, 2008 10:27 PM

Hey ladies!! Remember me?? Wow, its been so long since I have posted, but I must admit that I do check in and read what you ladies have been up to every now and again. Aiden is doing great. I can't believe he will be 13 months on the 11th! Time has really flown by. He is up and running and babbling like crazy. So far his favorite word is ball and he uses it constantly. DH thinks it a sign of a future professional athlete :) I wanted to come by and post that I just got a BFP! The line on the HPTs (yes, I have taken multiple) is really faint, but its there and it comes up within the 5-10 minute mark, so I don't think I can attribute it to an evap line. Well, I am glad to see that you ladies are doing well....wish me luck!!

kim00 - September 8th, 2008 10:59 PM

Donia, Yeah!!! I'm so excited for you, congrats!! How are you feeling?

javidsgirl - September 9th, 2008 1:39 PM

congrats donia well i feel like an odd one out cause i dont want to be pregnant right now lol i just want more mommy and mariam time . as for talking well mariam does that from the time she wakes untill she sleeps and recently discovered running in walmart of all places that was sooo not fun

slackette - September 9th, 2008 5:39 PM

I am not feeling any different, but I am only like 4 and a half weeks so far. I know what you mean wanting Miriam and Mommy time, I am nervous about not having time with my little man once I give birth. I don't want anything to impede on my time with him , but I want to have my second (and last) child close in age with Aiden. I love Aiden so much that I am slightly worried that its not possible to feel the same about a second....for those of you with more than one child, does the bonding happen for the second just like it does with the first?? Is it really possible to have the same exact love for all your children??

Krissy25 - September 9th, 2008 8:33 PM

DONIA, that's great, how exciting for you. Wow so many August mommies are pregnant again. Amanda, Tiffany (hopefully we hear from her soon) Jess, Kim and now you. TANYAwe can be non-pregnant buddies together. I know i want to have another one, but i want to wait at least 1 more year, possibly 2. And DONIA i know how you feel about loving a 2nd as much as the first, I have that fear too. My mom told me when she found out she was pregnant with my brother she cried b/c she didn't know how she could possible love another baby as much as me but she did (or so she says, LOL) I think it is one of those things were you know you will, it's just hard to imagine.

kimberly - September 10th, 2008 10:58 AM

Congratulations Donia! Our whole thread is pregnant again pretty much! However I am done having babies! I felt like I couldn't love another child as much too, but you know you just will and it does just happen the same way as with your first. I love all 3 of mine in unique ways but the huge amount of love I have for them is equally the same. They are all very uniquely special to my heart!

javidsgirl - September 10th, 2008 12:14 PM

okay krissy i will be your non pregnant buddy.donia i am sure you will love your second as much as your first i was the second child and i felt loved actualy i was closer to my parents then my sister was but i think that could have alot to do with her personalility. i am the same as you krissy i want to wait a year or 2 before having another i just want to enjoy mariam and get to know her a little longer before i have another as well i just dont think it financaly good with us right now we are just starting to adjust to this cost of living hike i would to have some rainy day money put away frist of which we are currently working on and i also want mariam potty trained and for her to be old enough to be a mommies helper
right now is she is a sometimes helper most of the time mess maker.i had a reading done by a psychic on cafemom that was awsome she hit so many things on the head it was shocking but anyways she said i will concieve in the fall of 2009 give birth to a baby boy in spring 2010 which works great for me if you wan to her name just let me know i will gladly share the info

Krissy25 - September 11th, 2008 3:01 PM

Tanya, that is how i feel. I just want J to be a little more independent and not have to carry her around so much, although i have gotten very good at doing a lot of things 1 handed. I just feel like if she is fully potty trained, can do some things for herself and is going to pre-school, i'll do a much better job. And i'm am not saying there is anything wrong with having kids close together, for some people that works much better for them. But for me i think it would cause a meltdown.

javidsgirl - September 11th, 2008 4:22 PM

i agree krissy there is nothing wrong with having kids close together i think if you got the patience, time and the money i say go to it. it just isnt for me ethier that would just make my plate to full for my sanity lol

kimberly - September 17th, 2008 5:23 PM

Hello wonderful mamas! Gosh, you all really need to come back on here and chat with us. Hope everyone is doing good and all the new preggo moms are happy and healthy! Kyleigh is becoming a handful! She is into most everything and loves to dump out our drinks and pretty much anything else in her way. I didn't think boy/girls personalities would be much different but she is all girl. She loves her dresses and new little dress shoes and she loves her dolls and her favorite teddy in which she now sleeps with all the time. She also likes to have her hair done. Which is really surprising because my boys didn't like thier hair touched. lol! Anyway thats all that is new here!

friendtilthend - September 20th, 2008 10:20 AM

Good morning ladies. It has been awhile since I was last here. I have had some major computer problems and have been living in DELL HELL for some time but a month and a couple of weeks later it is finally fixed. Well, Ethan is walking all over the place. He learned how to open all the doors, too. He is still nursing ( it is so hard to stop). He is a year and 2 months now. I had posted pictures of him at a 1 yr old and of course his cake too. I have been making quite a few cakes lately. I posted some of them on the piczo web site. Check them out. Congrats to you who are expecting. I would love another one but I think this is our last. In Vitro was a lot of money and it took a lot out of emotionally. I wish I could wake up and just take a pregnancy test and know. Ethan is saying some things like , hello, Johnny, Mark, Tris, mom ,dad, no, and of course he just babbles. He is still passing out. He has passed out about 20 times now. His dad seen it for the first time last week. I have gotten use to it, but it still scare me a little. It happens more when he is tired or gets hurt. I am off to piczo to check it any of you updated anything. Oh yeah thank god I kept up with the piczo site because we lost all he other baby pictures. Yep, they are all gone. I cried. I will never by another Dell.
