Good Lord! I am not sure that I would know what to do w/ it if I had the oppurtunity!!! (wink*wink*) Bedtime has always been dh and I's alone time and now, we are three peas in a pod. Grace started crawling into bed w/ us in the motn and now, she won't go to sleep unless she is in our bed. What do I do??? Why did I open the DAMN BOX??? LOL. Any ideas?

Cold Turkey. I swear it's the only thing that works. My dh keeps telling me to leave for the weekend and he'll do it for me but I just can't! LOL! Morgan was 5 when she started sleeping alone. It finally came down to telling her that everytime she got up after bedtime, she had to go to bed 30 minutes earlier the next night. One night she went to bed at 6!! LOL! But she was 5 and could understand quite alot. GL!!

As hard as it is and as tired as you'll be the best way to solve this problem is to keep getting up and putting her back in her own bed over and over and over...I had to do this with my l/o for at least a month and I was tired and frustrated and she was hurt but I had to stay strong and follow through with this rule I wanted to instill in my kids. She's a stubborn little thing too, my oldest dd tried maybe for a week and then clues in that she is sleeping in her own bed whther she likes it or not. Even giving in for one night with this and I had to start all over again. My sleep is too important I can't have my bed crowded with the l/o, especially when dh hogs so much of the bed too! lol

Well i know all kids are different but what worked for me and the hubby is....well from day one i had our son sleep in the bed (when he was younger he did sleep in a bassinet but never truly slept in a crib unless he was at nanas house..) but when he was about 1 1/2 (yes i know it took awhile) we got tired of sharing our double bed with our almost 2 year old so we did the crib thing and at first my son would scream bloody murder and so my husband would try "tough love" but of course being mommy i couldnt stand hearing him cry like that so finally my hubby came up with the idea of maybe laying on the floor next to him so he knows that we are here for him but he needs to be a big boy....and of course it didnt happen over night but now my son is 2 1/2 and sleeps in the big boy bed..which i never thought would happen this early! (now i'll be honest sometimes we do have to lay in floor to get him down...only because he still tries to get out of bed) but if your willing and determined...things will work out! just stay strong and come up with the best plan for you and the hubby!! (lets see how everything works out with out son when number 2 is born...anyday now.. haha) good luck!

LOL, Cyndi! I can see us now, all curled up together. It is a shame I didn't breastfeed and continue to do so until my children were tod's. Then I could feed them like mamma dog does w/ her pups! Eeew! Thanks for the advice girls. I think for us laying next to her on the floor could work the best for right now. She did sleep in her bed one night when I layed down w/ her. Of course, she climbed in bed w/ us in the motn.
