He Wont Drink Water Anymore!!

I dont know what is wrong with my lo, he used to drink a whole bunch of water. Always had a bottle of water around to drink. Now lately, he doesnt want any. He gives me the bottle and cries and when I give him water, he gives me the bottle back, and wont stop whining until I gave him milk or juice, even if he just drank milk, he drank once 2 bottles of milk together and was still giving the bottle for more. What could be causing this???

I'm not sure...maybe he's coming down with some fever or something..i know that personally, if I'm coming down with a fever, water tastes bitter in my mouth. Maybe thats why he doesn't want it. Try watering down the juice and giving him that. he'll still have the sweetness, but at least he'll be getting extra water.

If you are concerned that he is craving too much fluids you should see the pediatrician. A lot of times they have suggestions that can be helpful. Otherwise try 1 part juice to 3 parts water like nita suggested, that's what I do with my daughter and she gets plenty of water. Straight juice has way too much sugar and calories for a toddler.
