Hello! Happy Friday! Its gorgeous in Seattle today! 70 here is a perfect day and the sun is shining... we live across from a lake and that just puts you in a good mood, even if you fight it!!! So I thought I had posted a response but I guess I just thought about it:) I'm still not feeling well but I think after a while you just get used to it. MNMOM- I go to the dr. for the first time on May 12th also!!!! I go at 9:30 for the NT scan/ultrasound and then to the dr at 10:30 for the first appt. Time is flying by, its so crazy! Yes, I'm a mortgage broker. Rates dipped so my work has been crazy busy!!!! I hope you guys are all okay and had a good week. I'm off to Costco still tonight, busy busy!!

jodie - May 2nd, 2009 12:54 AM

Hey Gloria! I live in seattle too! It was a BEAUTIFUL day!! We are actually north of seattle in Lake Stevens. It was deffinately a much needed sunshiny day! We got some sun at the beach down in Edmonds today..lol! What lake are you guys by?

GloriaD - May 2nd, 2009 2:33 AM

Hey Jodie! How awesome that you live so close!!! We live south of Seattle in Lake Tapps/Bonney Lake. We're at the southern end of Lake Tapps. I'm not sure if you know where it is as it seems to be a hidden gem if you live more than 20 miles away. I have delivered the last two kids at Swedish in Seattle and everyone at the dr. office is so confused where i live, I always say "about 10 minutes from the Puyallup Fair" and they get it:) DH works off 599 in South Seattle and it takes him about 45 minutes because he works at the crack of dawn (5am-2pm). I know exactly where Lake Stevens is, its a nice area. I grew up in Renton. My dad lives in Mt. Vernon and my brother lives in Bellingham so I drive by your area regularly. Plus, I love the outlet at Tulalip:) I have gone to the midnight shopping there for the last three Thanksgivings:) Small world!! I hope you enjoyed the sun, I watched the news and it looks like that is all we're gonna get:(

GloriaD - May 9th, 2009 1:15 AM

Is everyone okay???

jodie - May 9th, 2009 10:46 AM

Hello Gloria..lol! I'm okay here :) Just been busy! We leave for Disneyland in 2 weeks so I have been trying to get the little things done before we go! I know where Bonneylake is, my in-laws used to live there...they are in Milton now, just behind Wild Waves. So how are you feeling these days?? Anybetter?

jeni23 - May 10th, 2009 12:35 AM

Hey ladys happy mothers day!!

GloriaD - May 13th, 2009 7:45 PM

Hello!! That will be so much fun Jodie! We went in October but grandma/grandpa stayed with Ava for the day so we just cruised with the two older kids in the park and had a blast! I used to live in Auburn but on the west hill about 3 miles from Milton/Edgewood, what a small world!
I had my first dr. appt. yesterday and she moved the date back a week because the ultrasound showed baby a week smaller. No biggie, the baby comes when it wants to, especially by the fourth! It was nice to see the baby on the monitor, moving around. It kinda made my bad attitude a bit better. I still feel like crap most of the time:( MNMOM- didn't you have an appt yesterday also? You should be feeling pretty good by now:)

MNMOM - May 14th, 2009 8:44 AM

Hi Gloria-How are you feeling these days? What is your due date now? I went in on Tuesday, everything was "perfect" according to the DR, that was a huge relief for me. I nearly cried when I heard the heartbeat, I had been so worried. It was 150. My due date has been set for 10/28. I am feeling pretty decent now but am still tired daily and still get upset stomach/digestion after eating most days. At least the moodiness has subsided! I will get the results next week from the quad screen, anxious to get past that part. My ultrasound is scheduled for 6/17 but we are not going to find out the gender. We have not settled on any names or even narrowed it down yet!

MNMOM - May 14th, 2009 8:46 AM

Hey Gloria one more thing - just curious what your weight gain has been like? I have gained 7 pounds in 16 weeks. That kinda seems like a lot to me but on the other hand, I was actually thinking it was going to be more than that before I stepped on the scale! heheee! :)

MNMOM - May 14th, 2009 8:12 PM

OK just had to share...the nurse called me this afternoon, my quad screen came back completely normal....results in only 2 days!!!! Holy smokes, I am on top of the world, such a relief!!!

GloriaD - May 15th, 2009 2:33 AM

Hello! My due date is now 11/27, which is the day after Thanksgiving:) Hey, my best friend Shae's birthday is Oct 28th! Our bb heartbeat was fast too, 162, so I'm sure its a girl again, but yeay for you! My one son, his heartbeat was always like 130-140 and I think back when I was preggo with him I heard that boys are low and girls are high. I don't know how you can NOT find out! I did that with Jake, our first, and it went good. I just figured that all the surprise is taken out of having a baby these days so I'd leave that open. BUT, now that I already have a few I think it would kill me to not know!!!! I still feel like crap most of the time, and I've got a cold now too. Plus, I'm having some other issues that I don't know if I want to bring up. I had heart surgery back in 2001 and for the last few days I've been, hmm, not tired, but I have absolutely no energy, like I can't make it up the stairs without stopping for a breather. I'm constantly finding myself out of breath and today I walked to the bathroom and my heart rate was over 150. I feel light headed also. Its freaking me out and I'm hoping that it has to do with the cold. I may call tomorrow if it doesn't seem to be getting any better. Too scary to think about because with dd who's 6 who was conceived about 4 months after my heart surgery the dr. wanted me to abort her at 15 weeks because my cardio lipin(?) screen came back high, which means I have thick blood and since I also had a stroke in 2001 he didn't know if the risk was too great. It all turned out okay but at the time I was devastated. It worries me with each baby I've had since:( Also dr. was nice enough to point out that each baby is a risk and that I don't want to selfishly keep having kids and risking my life since I do have kids here that need me..... Okay, so moving on, I have gained 10 pounds so don't feel bad! People gain at different rates, and I definitely think that being almost halfway with only 7lbs. is awesome! I always gain a ton at the beginning and then I taper off by about 25 weeks. I think the last baby I only gained 5lbs. from 25weeks to delivery. But, overall I gained 30 so it evens out.
Great news about the quad screen:) I did the cvs sampling? on this visit but I think I'm a ways out from the quad screen. Its freaky thinking about all the stuff that can go wrong...... So nice to put your mind at ease and sit back and try to enjoy your pregnancy:)

GloriaD - May 15th, 2009 2:36 AM

okay so I looked up cvs sampling test and that is not what i had! I'll have to verify with dr. office what exactly they tested me for but it was only blood!!! CVS sampling looks scary!

MNMOM - May 15th, 2009 10:18 AM

Hi Gloria! CVS does seem scary to me too, I could never go thru with that or with the amnio for that matter, I cannot tolerate needles!! You really must go have your heart checked out!!!! Holy cow, I am worried about you! I just won't let myself believe I am having a girl, it just doesn't seem possible....october will bring us a great surprise either way! Believe me, if my husband and mom could have it their way, I would be finidng out what the gender is, they cannot handle not knowing! Too bad for them :) Hope you feel better soon - now go get that heart checked out!!!

GloriaD - May 19th, 2009 2:20 AM

I am FINALLY starting to feel a bit better! Kinda like you MNMOM I don't feel good, just not as awful! Also the hormones must be letting up because I'm beginning to feel a bit like my old self. So I figured out that my heartbeat is irregular again. I was on medication for this but I weaned off of it about 6 months ago and hadn't felt a repercussion (?) since then, until now. I don't want to go back on the medication unless I have to so I"m gonna wait it out and see if it gets worse. i had an awful fear of needles too, until I had all that stuff happen back in 2001 and now I'm good with it all. One of the worst things I remember is chest tubes, and when you're conscious and they remove them it is this awful feeling. Awful must be my word of the day! Anywho, we are getting ready to book a cruise for next May/June to the caribbean. We'll be taking the whole family, baby included. It gets me excited because I'm planning for life after baby which right now seems like it'll never happen:) Just found out that baby has to be 6 months old to board the ship so now we're trying to figure out when baby will come. I'm gonna talk to the dr. and probably be the first person in history to request an induction by 11/22 so that I can get the baby on the ship on 5/23!!!!! Hopefully she doesn't laugh but there's about 30 people going on this vacation and I want to go too!!!!! Its a long shot but I'll try:)
I hope you're week is going well!

jeni23 - June 13th, 2009 9:45 PM

Hey ladys how are you all this lovely summer?
