I thought I would start a new thread... other was getting long. Imp.. I feel for you. I have had many of those nights and it is hard to function on little sleep. Heres to hoping that Jo will take a good nap! Jenna had motrin and teeth tabs before bed and slept WONDERFUL!!!!!! We are still snowed in... Not sure how much snow we got.. heard 10 inches.. not sure if that is right. The blowing snow made drifts 3 feet high though.. watch for pictures on my blog. CRAZY. We are hunkered down for another day at home... Kinda stir crazy but it will be ok...

momtbc - December 15th, 2008 10:57 AM

NEW THREAD! Yeah! I HATE having to go through sooooo many pages! the kids are doing better and we're off for more shopping...and yes, we will be broke after this xmas! haha!

britt_m - December 15th, 2008 11:38 AM

IMP- ugh I feel ya. I usually get up 3-4 a night every night. It really sucks! Then Jaidyn wakes early and then Alexea wakes up and Jaidyn goes back to sleep so their scheduals are off and one is always awake so I can't nap with them anymore. Hopefully it doesn't last too long!
PEBBLES - I remember those days and now I sorta miss them. My parents last week had gotten 8 inches and it wasn't expected to stop haven't talked to them since then tho. Altho they never seem to close anything even school down very easily so my dad was out there with the quad 2x by 2pm, plowing snow so my mom could make it to work that night. I put up some pix of that on my myspace, haha, thats how much I miss it. Not so much being outside in it but the way it looks and the warm cozy feeling watching it from inside maybe with some cocoa : ). I hope my kids can get experience that when we move back home. Things are going good here, were starting to wear jackets and its cold at night. We finally got some of the rent money and the rest we should get today so I went xmas shopping : ). I got Lexi a volkswagan from craigslist for $30! I just had to buy a new battery. Its for 3+ years but I think she'll love it, its in great shape and they retail for like $200. I got Chris a paintball set and Jaidyn will get a cadillac looking walker. I seen it at the MCX.and a bunch of small things as well. I guess we wil get to do xmas on time yay! I'm not quite done yet but I'm so excited already!

momtbc - December 15th, 2008 2:07 PM

BRITT- glad you got to go shopping! That always makes it feel xmasier! Well, we made it through the grocery store then Samantha demanded that we go home. Not in exact words, but her actions said shopping is done today. Not on my agenda, but I'd rather her get a nap then force her to shop when her tummy hurts

ImpatientMommy - December 15th, 2008 7:06 PM

We're not broke from Christmas shopping because I've been doing it over such a long period of time, it'd be different if we purchased EVERYTHING around the same time. But let me tell you.... Jo is SOOO getting spoiled this Christmas. I mean just from me and Rob there is plenty, but then she's getting stuff from Rob's side of the family and mine, she is getting SO much. If I told you girls how much we ended up getting her your jaws would drop! But that's the problem with starting so early... you say you're "done" a million times but then you see something you can't pass up haha that's what happened with us. But I just keep saying... hey, we spend A LOT of the time at home and I'm trying to get her to not watch so much TV so you know what, we need a bunch of new toys haha. Seriously! It's true! I'm sure once I post pictures of the presents under the tree on Christmas Eve and post them on my blog you will all think I'm nuts, even more than you already do! haha Well today was so-so... I'm EXHAUSTED but she was okay for most of the day, just needed a lot of my attention. Pretty much constant through the whole day which is why I'm still in my PJs and never found a second to come on here. There were times when she'd just randomly freak out out of nowhere and be holding her mouth so you know her gums must be killing her. I'm going to feel inside there tonight and see if anything has poked through but I'm gonna go out on a limb and say probably not! PEBBLES- When Jo is teething this bad, not even Motrin does anything for her. When she's just teething a little, Motrin will make her sleep all night long but if I gave it to her tonight it'd be the same as if she didn't have it. I can't wait to see pictures of this snow fall! Sounds crazy! I remember we used to get crazy snow storms when I was growing up and I feel like we just don't get snow here like that anymore, I swear, it's global warming! not kidding! MOMTBC- It's always good to take those cues and say okay... shopping is over! How did you know her tummy hurt? is she alright? BRITT- I saw pictures of your Dad plowing on myspace! haha that was a lot of snow for sure! oh and a cadillac walker!? that sounds so cute! definitely take a picture of him in it.

gurinsa - December 15th, 2008 7:15 PM

Kaitlyn is FINALLY tapering off with this cough!!! It lasted about 8 weeks - whew!!!!! Thank you guys for checking in on fb..you know you can always find me there ;)

momtbc - December 15th, 2008 7:43 PM

IMP- Samantha had a bad few days of diarrhea and I can just tell that when she gets cranky and nothing will make her stop then she's not feeling good. OKAY - EVERYONE - you have to go to my blog and see the link that I added of the kids! It is absolutely the most hilarious thing I have EVER seen!

newbaby2009 - December 15th, 2008 9:52 PM

Hey ya'll. We're not broke from Christmas shopping either, lol. We got Rylie alot but didnt go overboard. Im hoping she wont be overwhemed as it is. We may split the present giving up into 2 parts.

We just got home from Rylies 18 month appointment. We sat there for an hour before she even seen the nurse. The nurse came in, asked a couple questions then said "the doctor will be right in." The doctor came in half an hour later. Ugh, that is so irritating or anyone, let alone for someone with a toddler! And now i get to worry for the next 6 months. Rylie is in the 100th percentile for height and she said it could be normal if she has tall people in her family or even if she does it could be the sign of a condition/disease. The only way to know is to see if she continues to grow at such a rate at her 2 year checkup. She didnt even say what it could be and i didnt think to ask. My mind just started to worry right away and i wasnt thinking straight. Also she hads to see an pediatric eye specialist at the childrens hospital. She seems to have a problem with her optic nerve in her right eye. "Lazy eye" in laymens terms. Ryan had it and grew out of it but ive seen kids where they didnt so we're definately having it taken care of now.

ImpatientMommy - December 16th, 2008 9:40 AM

Jo slept pretty good last night. Usually she doesn't wake up till around 8 for her sippy and then stays up for the day but when she's teething she wakes up earlier and then comes in our bed and goes back to sleep, like she used to do. So she slept until 5:30, had her sippy, and went back to sleep pretty fast till 8:30. I haven't given her Motrin in awhile because it does NOTHING when she's teething this bad so I feel like I'm giving her medicine for nothing, so I was surprised she slept so well. Her top 2 canine teeth are so swollen... it's gotta be the most swollen ANY of her teeth have gotten before they came. And one on the bottom is really swollen too but the other bottom one not so much. OKAY! So I swear to god I am not getting Jo ANYTHING else! haha but I did buy her something else so that starts NOW haha. KB Toys is going out of business so like everything is on sale. I got her this baby doll that comes with a wicker basket type thing and inside are bottles, hates, pacifiers, all that kind of stuff and it was $5.99!!!! From like $25! Then I got her a cradle for a baby doll, it's so nice, it's wooden and painted and it swings from side to side, only $9.99 and that was like $20-$25 I believe. I couldn't pass it up! I SWEAR I AM DONE NOW! hahaha GURINSA- So glad Kaitlyn is feeling better! It's about time! MOMTBC- I'm sorry to hear Samantha had some tummy issues. Is it starting to clear up? NEWBABY- I hear ya about the present splitting up. My parents are coming over Thursday to give her all their gifts and I'm kinda glad about it because it'll split it up a bit and she won't be so overwhelmed. Hopefully it helps that she'll be opening out gifts downstairs in our apartment and opening the gifts from Rob's side of the family a little later in the day upstairs. That's weird about Rylie's height... personally I don't see a reason to worry but then again I'm not a doctor. That's not cool that the doctor sorta just left you hanging like that, maybe that's a sign that she's not really concerned?

newbaby2009 - December 16th, 2008 11:30 AM

Thats just how they are there. Shes referring her to Daytons Childrens Hospital and someone there will call and set Rylie up to be seen.

momtbc - December 17th, 2008 7:37 AM

Haha! I was just joking about being broke, but we did go overboard again as usual! I sorted out all the presents last night and Chris came downstairs and said, what did you do? There is a lot, but with 4 kids, there WILL be a lot. I am a good shopper, though. I rarely buy something if it's not on sale and I will WAIT until it is on sale! I prepared Taylor to not get the hannah montana xmas doll because it was selling at the beginning for $30, and I found it on Amazon on sale last week for $10! So, that will be a BIG surprise for her! How did everyone do with this last storm? The kids have a two hour delay today! And, yes, I've been awake for a lot longer than I wanted to be! Our neighbor, for some reason, got out his four wheeler at about 6:45am! There isn't even any snow on the driveways to pus (he has a blade on his four wheeler). So, I owe it all to him for not letting me sleep in on my first 2 hour delay of the season!

ImpatientMommy - December 17th, 2008 8:41 AM

So funny you mentioned a storm... I had no idea there was even supposed to be a storm so when I read that I went and opened the blinds... it looks nasty out. Not really much snow, but you can tell it did snow, but now there is just sleet-looking type rain coming down which will probably result in a lot of ice. And of course me and Rob have to drive a half hour to my school (and back) because I gotta go take my final today. I sooo don't pay attention to the weather... probably because I don't really have to go anywhere haha. I'm a good shopper too! That's why I started Christmas shopping a looooooooong time ago because I refused to buy anything NOT on sale. Every single one of Jo's presents was on clearance or on sale, except for books which I got at Burlington Coat Factory so they were so cheap anyway. I'm pretty proud of myself for that! Tonight I'm going to get all the presents together to see exactly how much I ended up getting here in the end. ALRIGHT! Wish me luck... I gotta go get Jo fed so I can get ready to go take my final, I'm pretty confident!

momtbc - December 17th, 2008 8:45 AM

GOOD LUCK!

gurinsa - December 17th, 2008 11:10 AM

We had a lot of snow here too! The midwest/east coast must have had a front go through! I heard there was supposed to be more starting tonight..

britt_m - December 17th, 2008 12:02 PM

It's been raining here, thats thier winters. People drive horribly, so there were over 15 accidents just lunch time Monday, most of which did not have ambulances yet, the rollover did tho. DH had to drop off that guy at the airport (two weeks of leave, yippee!!!) and drove home to change to a different pair of cammies as he was soaked. I left for school at 4:30pm and didn't get there until almost 6pm (only a 25 minute drive) and watched some guy fly through a red light and rear end another car slightly. They got out looked and just keep going tho. The roads here get like black ice b/c it never rains in the summer so all the oil builds up. The first few rains are so scary. We are done shopping for now, we didn't get a lot so we didn't go overboard but I think I'll pick up some more after xmas still haha. Imp good luck on your finals!! I have my finals on Saturday I'm nervous but I think I'll do ok. I've been trying to study my butt off. My dad mentioned North Dakota getting so much snow and I'm like I have a friend who lives there, hehe : ).

ImpatientMommy - December 17th, 2008 12:23 PM

I did awesome on my final!!! I only got 1 wrong, the rest I know I got right. That means I'll be getting 2 A+'s as the final grades for these 2 classes I'm taking. I've gotten over a 93 on everything we've done in both classes, I'm so proud of myself!!! The final for the other class is a paper and it's due the 22nd but I know I'll do good on it, this lady has given me a 99 or 100 on every paper I've written. YAY!!!! Wow, I can't believe all of your crazy weather!!! It's still raining here and icy but I looked at the weather for tomorrow and it said sunny, no snow or anything, but cold!

gurinsa - December 17th, 2008 12:50 PM

congrats imp!! speaking of classes, I accepted an offer to teach an intro to psychology class at one of the universities here beginning this january! my husband was like "why would you want to pick up more work"!! but I figure it would be cool to teach a class here and there. Its probably gonna be A LOT of preperation though!!!!!
