MMR Side Effects?

Last Monday, DS had his MMR shot (along with the chicken pox vaccine and Hep B shot) Anyway, he has developed a fever. His pediatrician said this could happen. Right now it's just getting over 100 degrees. He has had it for two days now. Has anyone exprienced this or other side effects of the MMR shot? I was just wondering how long this is going to last. He also has a cough and snotty nose....so maybe it's the cold and not from the shot.

I looked up MMR side effects and it said a mild fever for 1 to 2 days is very common and was reported in a few studies to be 102 or higher for 1 to 2 days. I know all my kids usually have a fever for a day or two after shots just make sure it don't spike up and you might call if it don't go away soon just to be safe. My dd had a 104.5 fever after getting her 4 month shots so now they spread hers out a little and it hasn't happened again.
