Hello ladies and thanks for the advice in advance. I know that my lo is not a toddler yet, he is only 4 1/2 months, but I have a question for those of you who use nebulizers. My ds was prescribed one on Friday for some wheezing issues that he has been having, and I am presented with a problem; whether to buy it or to just rent it. I am wondering I guess for those of you that have used one, was it a chronic thing or more of a one time thing.

Also I forgot to mention that this is not the first lung problem that he has had... he also had croup (unrelated to the current wheezing) 6 weeks ago.

My nephew was prescribed one when he was a few months old, he is now two and needs it every time he gets a cold. I would say buy one, it never hurts to have it on hand, and if your LO gets a cold use it, it makes them feel so much better.

thanks for your help... we did just buy it after talking to the pediatrician again and he said pretty much what you did, it is not a bad thing to have on hand... especially since he has had 2 lung problems in such a short time.
