My dd is 15 months old and wears a size 5, i assume that is infant sizing? I was out looking for snow boots for her and thought i should probably get a 6 b/c her feet are growing fast, i found a 6 but it was way off, but i couldn't find anything else that was right. The shoe sizing confuses me so much, can anyone expaine it too me, also where might a good place to look for snow boots. I was at Target but like i said they just didn;t seem to have what i was looking for.

I always have the best luck finding my kiddies shoes at Nordstrom. They shoe sales people will measure her feet for you and and get a good fit! Good luck!

I got my son fitted at payless last time I was there. I think he wears like a size 7 or soon to be 8 the rate he is going. I would go to an actual shoe department or store to get fitted, and then you can get your shoes where you want, but the fitting is free so use it! :D I guess 5 is infant sizing because everywhere I seem to look lately, the toddler sizes start at 7 I think...I can't remember, I work overnights LOL

I've noticed that Target children's shoe sizing is a little off. They tend to run a little big.
I've been confused by shoe sizing too. There infants, toddler and then childrens sizes.
What I do to make sure I always get the right size if my dd isnt with me. I measure her foot against my hand and when I'm at the store, I measure the shoe by my hand.

i'd liek to know this myself! dd is 12 months old, i think a size 5 ( big feet run in the family here,i am sure your dd is around a 5). Anyway when we were looking, couldn't get dd's foot fully inside a boot!! It's hard to explain, i try pushing it in but it just doesn't work. Does anybody else have that problem? We do have wide feet to, i wonder if that could be it.

jenna32, it could be that your daughter has a high arch. it might be difficult to tell because she may have some baby fat on her feet. I've ALWAYS had this problem and have a difficult time finding boots that I can squeeze my arch into -- even if the boot itself is several sizes bigger than what I normally wear.

Maybe that's it then, it is fraustrating. I found one pair that went on,i think but they were too heavy on her.
