I use to feed them what we ate if we cooked at home, but if we ate out I brought gerber foods too they are great at that age. My children both loved noodles and carrots cooked umm little things like spagettii (canned or homeade) Also any kinda finger foods Hot dogs and mac and cheese are a kid favorite and you can microwave them also pot pies and there are even some really healthy tv dinner like foods my kids love kid cusines or anything pasta lol Plus they both love fruit canned or fresh. those are the best ideas i can give you if you dont want to cook :-) |

Hey Jenny, my son is 18 months and he is a pretty picky eater. Here's what he usually eats |

Spagetti O's are a hit with my dd, she even likes the kind with meatballs or hot dog pieces in them (yuck). She likes most veggies, corn, grean beans, peas etc, so whatever veggie we eat she has some. She always hated the gerber graduates, i dont know why. |

My son loves the soft chicken tacos from taco bell. We order it with just the meat (no sauce, cheese, lettuce.) The chicken is steam cooked so its healthier than nuggets and it break apart into small bites. I break off a small sliver of the tortilla for him to hold in his hand in his other hand. For quick protein at home I buy the precooked chicken pieces from Trader Joes (they are fresh not frozen) and I microwave a few pieces for 15 seconds. My son also loves frozen waffles and of all things, frozen peas. |

My son only eats a few things also. I seriously don't know what to feed him anymore. He eats noodles, grilled cheese, pizza, chicken nuggets, grapes, bananas, cereal, eggs, and cheese and chicken and sweet potatoes and maybe a few other things that I can't think of right now but he seems pretty picky and won't try new things. I think this is how all kids are but I am getting sick of trying to find stuff for him to eat. |

I've had a tough time transitioning to table food b/c I'm always paranoid that I'm not feeding my son the 'right' things. One thing he loves is quesadillas. I make them w/a little cheese, sometimes a little canned chicken (a lifesaver) and I shred zucchini w/a cheese grater or slice tomatoes and put inside. Sounds a little weird but I had a zucchini that I needed to use and decided to try it. Any veggie would work. You don't have to cook anything beforehand and I don't even add salt b/c the cheese is enough. Fold it over, put it in a pan, heat it thru and that's it. You can't really mess it up. It's a good way to get her to eat veggies if she doesn't really eat them on their own. Hope this helps a little! |

I remember reading somewhere that you should try a 'new' food 10 times before you will know if your child really doesn't like it. And ya know I tried this with scambled eggs....my other 3 children LOVE them and that is a great quick dinner when daddy is working late...well my 15 month old finally ate them for me TONIGHT!!! It was like the 10th time I tried them! Before tonight he would pick them up and toss them onto the floor. So long story short...don't give up. Keep trying new things with your toddlers. p.s. I love the quesadilla idea! |

My son does pretty well with foods, not really too picky, but I always struggle with convenience foods over healthy foods. One thing I discovered by accident is that he LOVEs blueberries, so I bough a big container at Sam's club and he loves them as a snack. As far as meals, I give him frz waffles, pop tarts, yogurt, toast, and bananas as breakfast choices, lunch is nuggets, hot dogs, cubed turkey, pizza or grilled cheese with goldfish, or teddy grahms and sometimes shredded cheese. Dinner is usually what we eat and strangely he loves green beans (canned), broccoli, and brussel sprouts, lol. He also loves mac & cheese and lasagne, |
