Ok, my dd will be 3 in Feb and has been a nightmare to toilet train, but finally we are there, I was just wandering how long after being trained in the day were your lo's ready to go without diapers at night?

Well, my kids lost their diapers cold turkey for both day and night, when we started potty train. My dd stayed dry through the night right away, but my son did have accidents at night, and even if he kept dry he'd have an accident while running to the potty in the morning. But the intensity of these accidents faded over time, I'd say he had them mostly in the first month, and after that only now and then. 1 months ago (that's 6 mo after starting potty training) he got complete control at night and morning. Finally.

You should continue diapers at night until you notice she is dry in the morning and after naps. sometimes it really takes a while, but if you take away the diapers at night before her body is ready and she continually wets the bed she could suffer emotionally and it is possible that she could revert and start having accidents during the day.

My dd was exactly 2 when she stopped with diapers both day and night. She did have the occasional accident, but it was no big deal. I think maybe if they feel the pee and wake up, it helps them realize what is happening. Now she wakes up on her own to pee at night. she is 2.5 years old.
