Try boiled carrots in pieces, celery (just take away the stringy parts when they start coming off) cheerios, we give our 10 month old everything we eat, just cut up into small pieces for him. He does fine. Good luck! (it also is nice to have them eat themselves so you can get a good meal in for yourself! ) :) |

Try steamed veggies. I used to steam them and then cut them in strips for dd. Carrots, squash, zucchini. Avocado and bananas are good because they are so soft. Slices of soft fruit are good too. My dd loves grapes. I quarter them. I wouldn't do popcorn I think there is a potential for choking with popcorn. At that age dd liked rice cakes too. Just make sure you give your lo small bits of food so there is less potential for choking. Also stay away from hard pieces of food like chunks of apple or raw carrots. My dd is 18 months and even now I will slice up thin slivers of carrots and apples for her so she doesn't choke. |

I give my dd (10 mos) cut up baby carrots which I put in the microwave to get soft, peas, cut up chicken, cherios, puffs, cut up banana, cut up multi-grain pancakes, yogurt, pieces of cheese. We just had our 10 month check up yesterday and my ped said to stay away from popcorn b/c its a major choking hazard, plus there is no nutritional value to it. He told me I could pretty much give her anything, but to stay away from any type of nuts and seafood for now. He said it was ok to give hard boiled egg yolk. Hope this helps. |
