I'm not sure when to get dd's hair cut. she is 13 months old now. I think her hair fell out when she was a few months old and started to come back around 8-9 months, slowlyy. People keep saying oh don't get it cut until it's really just unmanageable. But i thought to not have split ends that you should get it trimmed every couple months or so. Also i figured they say it grows faster that way. it is getting a little long in the back, the middle has a little less and the front has even less hair. When she wakes up, it is always sticking up everywhere to,it is cute but i'm wondering if it's a sign she needs one?

I started getting our daughters hair cut when it was obvious that it needed some shape. It was long in places and shorter in others and just looked hodge-podge. My guess, by what you said is that she needs a hair cut.

My dd is 16 months and I have snipped the very ends before myself but she hasn't had an actual haircut yet. She has pretty long hair and thick too. I want it to grow all one length so I haven't cut her bangs so it is a bit of a problem because they are well past her nose and tend to hang in her eyes. She don't like barrets in her hair so I may have to break and cut her bangs atleast. But, yes you should keep the ends trimmed a little, I just snip the frizzy parts off and don't really mess with taking actual length off for now. But, it sounds like your dd may need a little shaping, alot of salons will do the first haircut for free.
