I am thinking of hiring a nanny for two days a week in September. My oldest son will be 2 and a half and I will have a 6 week old (give or take a week or two). I would like the nanny to come to my home and work 8 hours each day. What is a reseasonable price to pay her? I would not expect any housework or cooking to be done.

I'm not sure where you live but in San Diego upwards of $450 a week. That would be for full time tho. I worked as a nanny for two and was paid $250 full time, but found out the price difference from other ladies at parks, always seemed to fall in the discussion. If you get onto craigslist and find your area, that may give you an idea of going rates, well if you live in a decent sized town. Maybe you can do per day or work something out with the nanny. GL

I pay $10 an hour for my two kids, but I know a lot of people pay a lot more than that. I am in CT.
