Last April , DD was 12 mo , we went to miami and orlando to see mickey and everything for 2 weeks ... It did not go as bad as I thought , the worst part is that she missed her crib and she will just sleep in the pack and play till 4am or so , so we were a little sleep deprived , but other than that she was great she will fall asleep on the stroller with no complain , did not want to get down (walked at 14 months , so there was not much to do), still eat everything in front of her (she is becoming a picky eater), and did not know the word tantrum, did not ask for anything (toys all around us) , and also 2 weeks is not so long ... But I am sure this will be a different story , we are traveling to miami , las vegas and orlando for 5 weeks total ... pleasure mixed with work trip so cant be shortenned ... DD will be 22, 23 months there ... what should I expect of an almost 2yo toddler !!, we will be staying in 3 differnet cities , 3 different hotels , 5 airplane flights!!! 2 5 hour flights ... thank god we are off the bottle now and working on the spoon thing ... I wont be killing myself trying to find a bathroom there , so will start toillet training at 2 when we return ... my main concern is ..Is a 23 month old a lot harder than a 12 mo?? thanks

I actually find it easier when they are a bit older as you don't need to prepare their formula. We went on holiday this year staying in 3 different hotels in 3 different places with 4 short flights and our 2 kids (17m then and 2.5) absolutely loved it. The 2.5 year old loved the aeroplane and started asking if we could go on one everyday and has everyday since we came back home to go on an aeroplane to hotel. Kids slept fine all 2 weeks and loved changing hotels - it was like a new play area each time we moved and they got really exciting. It was a bit tiring for us with 2 little ones to chase after but it was great fun. I'm sure you'll have a great time.
