Hi Linds99! Thanks for the quick response. Yes i do have endometriosis so hopefully it is a combination of many other minor things and not necessarily cysts. Don't want to panic too much just yet and would rather put up with the pain at least for the first cycle. Hopefully i'll conceive sooner rather than later and then i can stop taking clomid which i'm not happy taking. This drug seems to make me feel like bursting into tears for no apparent reason and is playing havoc with my skin. Thanks again & good luck to you x

Clomid increases the estrogen levels in the body, so I bet that your skin issues will stop during the luteal phase when progesterone sets in. I hope you have luck this cycle with clomid! Those pains are likely endo pains, stay away from high sugar foods and they should subside. Sugar seems to irritate endo tissue more.

i took 50 mg of clomid from day 2-6 . Its 19th day today there were no mature follicle . It was only of size 12 . is it something to be worried ?

saran I do know that follices grow appr. 2mm a day and they are consider matured when they reach about 21-24mm. so with that in mind it is still possible to ovulate on cd 24. I have heard in some cases women ovulated on cd 28 when taking clomid. I didn't get a LH surge until cd 19 which means that I ovulated on day 20 or 21. Good Luck To You. i took 50mg clomid days 5-9 and had 5 mature follies above 20mm on IUI day. i ovulated on day 14. sounds like you need a higher dosage to stimulate your ovaries. i read that you should expect to ovulate around 5 days after your last dosage, which for me, it was right on target.

I had irregular period for few years and went to gyn for that. They did Ultrasound Scan and told that i had PCOS and my Teststerone was high with 2.69. My gyn gave Diane 35 for 8 months for regular periods and Thyrox 50 as i had TSH high. For the eight months i got my period regular on an average of 30 day cycle. After eight months i went to see doctor, blood was examined on the 2nd day and found testerone was 0.69 and TSH was also reduced. Gyn gave me clomid from D3-D7 And Thyrox25mg. I have to get my period on November 15,2008 but i didnt. I was happy i would be pregnant but after 10 days late i got my period. Went to doctor again, she gave me Clomid and Letrozole from D3-D7 and asked to do follicular study from Day 11.
I did Follicular study on Day 11 i had 4 follicle 3 on left and 1 on right the sizes are 11*9mm,9*8mm,10*7mm in the left and 10*8mm in the right and the E.R. 7mm. On the 13th day i had 11*10mm,10*10mm,10*7mm in the left and 10*9 mm in the right and the E.R. is 8mm. on my 21st day i had 18*15mm and 10*7 in the right and the same size follicle in the left ovary with the endometrium of 10mm. My Gyn told to do US on the next day and did the same follicle size was present and the endometrium was 11mm. My gyn gave me an injection of Ovutring of 10000 IU on Day 22nd and asked me to be together with my husband. Did Ultrasound on 24th and found that my follicle was ruptured in the right ovary. My Doctor was asked me to be together with my husband for the next two days. Can i be pregnant with this treatment if so when can i test for pregnancy. How long will it take to know the pregnancy test.

hey guys, same story for me too....
i am having iui and this is my first cycle....i have 3 mature follicles with estrogen level quite strong (over 2000). Doctor advised me to stop the treatment for this cycle as it has high chance of having multiple pregnancy.
I am very disappointed. I am 33 years old only and i am wondering that what if i have 3 or more mature follicles in my next cycle too....i am on clomid 50 mg.
I need to know how many follicles should one have if the age is less than 35 years.

Hey everyone! I'm new here, and am looking for any info people have from personal experience.

I'm 28, and single, and ttc#2. I started Clomid 50mg, days 5-9, on March 1st. I will also be getting an hcg shot to induce ovulation prior to my 1st IUI. My dr. had me go in for an ultrasound yesterday, CD#10, which showed I had SEVERAL follicles (w/dr saying "too many to count") in each ovary. However, they were approx 10 mm in size. He wants them around 20-22mm. I am going for a second ultrasound on 3/10 (this Tue). My question is, is it normal to have so many follicles early on? And, with so many, does that give me a good chance of any of them acutally maturing, or do the majority tend to mature? I'm new to ALL this, and ANY info on this would be GREAT! thanks....
