is it really possible for someone to lose one twin while maintaining a pregnancy of the other twin? No problems with cervix or plug. Both are intact.

Yes, I've heard of women who have. I also recently read about a woman who was having a miscarriage and was in the emergency room. Then, a couple days later she was called by her doctor because her hcg levels were still high (in blood drawn during miscarriage) and they wanted to check her out. Turns out, she miscarried one baby but was originally carrying twins and the other baby seems to be doing fine!

Yes it is. Often the weaker twin becomes the donor twin. It sounds like your pregnancy if fine, Don't worry.
