Lauren..awesome...my fingers are crossed for you...I will buy it from you if mine doesn't come for sure...I found out today they sent it back to the UK because of an incomplete address...so I'm waiting to see if it goes back to sender...and if the girl will give me my $ back...

Well, I have some bad news. I'm in the process of having a miscarriage. I've never had a m/c before, and so I'm still in shock. I'm not sure if it's due to the clomid or not. Maybe I had two many babies in there...I'll never know. Good luck to everyone else. Hugs...Julie

Jaime - July 26th, 2005 7:24 PM

Hi Julie,
I am very sorry to hear that, I'm sure that it was the last thing that you expected. Have you booked in for an ultrasound. That is what I would do. A friend of mine was pg with twins and miscarried 1 and bled quite badly but, the other was born happy and healthy and full term. I really hope that things turn out Ok for you. My thoughts are with you. Jaime

Julie, I am so sorry for your loss. Make sure to follow up with your Dr. so that he/she can make sure that things are going as expected. I know when I suffered a miscarriage in my fifth week, I had a couple of ultrasounds and a couple of HCG blood level checks to make sure what we thought was happening really was. It's a horrible thing to go through and you may find that you grieve for this loss like you would another death close to you ( I know I did). You are in my thoughts and again, I'm so sorry you have to go through this.

Thanks, guys. I can really use those words of encouragement right now. It's such a shock, because my first 2, and only 2 pregnancies were so easy, that I never thought this would happen to me. Apparently, my progesterone levels are too low right now. I'll go back to see the doc in a couple of days to get some more blood work done, to make sure the numbers are going back to 0. Thanks again. Julie

Thank you Jamie, Lauren and Kristina. I went to the OB yesterday who seems to think all is well (fingers crossed) I will be five weeks tomorrow. She also thinks hormone levels are high and suggested it might be twins. Poor husband went very pale!!!! Anyway, she wants me to have an ultrasound in week seven to check everything is ok. I feel pretty seedy not helped by having the flu, guess it is just wait and see. I am really sorry Julie, I had what was a suspected miscarrage last year, very early on. I think that is why I am so nervous with this pregnancy. My thoughts are with you. Baby dust to everyone.

Kristina - July 27th, 2005 7:33 AM

Julie - I'm so sorry to hear your news. Do be sure and follow up with your doctor right away ... it might be something else. If it is a miscarriage, I hope you find strength and support from your husband and family. We are all thinking of you here.

Well ladies...I think I'm out $90.00..the person I got the clomid from was a friend online...and it was shipped back to the UK..because of an incomplete address...she is jerking me around about refunding the $...DH is super mad because he thinks I'm obsessed and spending to much $...(bought a feritlity monitor 100.00...the sticks...80.00....mucinex..30.00....pregnancy tests 30.00)...he thinks that everything happens naturally....what does he know...HE'S A MAN!!!! CPFM tells me that my feritilty is high (but it's lied before)...I'm so incrediably depressed...

To Lauren - July 27th, 2005 3:10 PM

Thanks for you answer, Lauren. What else have you been taking with Clomid?

Baby Machine - July 27th, 2005 4:23 PM

I took Clomid and gave birth to triplets

Jaime - July 27th, 2005 5:50 PM

Well guys, I'm pregnant! I found out yesterday. I had a faint + HPT two days ago and went fora BT. Then yesterday I got a real BFP and the BT results came back as++ too. I was only 13 DPO when I had the BT so I found out really early. I am so scared and nervous and I haven't been able to sleep the last 2 nights!!! I haven't really had any symptoms yet execpt for lots of cramping. Lauren: You must be getting close to testing, let us know how you go. Amy: how about you. Zoe: are you still there? Did you see the doc? I hope that we all get lucky this month- Jaime

Lauren - July 27th, 2005 5:52 PM

Sarah - don't be sad men don't get the biological clock thing but, we here do! If I get pg this mth I will sell you mine bummer on the cash. I have 5 pills of 50mg. I have been taking prenatals, folic acid (lots of it), baby aspirin. I only took 50mg of clomid days 3-7.
Baby Machine - give us more info...trips wow! what dose? what days? how long?
As for me girls I have light cramping & just now red washed cervical flow (implimatation??) not sure but something is going on here. It hurts to suck in my gut....

I'm new here and have read this thread with much interest. Congrats to Kim! I am a 35 year old woman with two same sex children. I am already trying to maniupulate the outcome of the sex but would also like twins. How does the Angus Castus compare to Clomid - which are you more likely to conceive twins through taking? Also I note that you can get 25mg tabs - would this be enough to increase my chances of twins. I ovulate normally around day 19 of my cycle.
TIA

SarahLee - July 28th, 2005 12:27 PM

Thanks Lauren! I appreciate it...how much folic acid do you take?

Michelle - July 28th, 2005 2:10 PM

I am new to this message board. Sorry, I don't know all your abbreviations. I had 2 wonderful pregnancies and had two beautiful sons. Since then, I have had 5 miscarriages all between 9 - 14 weeks. I have learned a lot and done a lot of research. I just finished reading all the postings and wanted to clear up a few things. First of all, your HCG level (or pregnancy hormone level) doubles every 48 hours. If it significantly more than doubles it can be a sign of multiple births and not so favorably, be a sign of Down's. Taking a baby aspirin every day is for thinning the blood and has nothing to do with the lining of the uterus. I am border line for a blood clotting disorder and take one a day to prevent blood from clotting in the umbilical cord when I conceive again. Taking Prometrium (or Progesterone) is what prepares the lining of the uterus for the pregnancy, but you cannot take it until you are positive that you already ovulated since it will prevent pregnancy if you are not already pregnant. It is recommended to take 400 micrograms of Folic Acid per day, but I take 800 on top of what is in my prenatal vitamins. I am now on my 3rd cycle of Clomid because after all the testing, my Dr. believes that I am ovulating late which commonly causes early term miscarriages. The best of luck to all of you. Hope this answered a few questions. As for me with multiples, between my husband and I we have 4 children. 2 for each of us from previous marriages. We have custody of all 4. I really don't want twins but at this point I will be happy with anything I can get and hope you all get what you so much desire also.
