Lauren -- these are my first babies and they aren't born yet though I know they are two boys. I am due on Dec 15th. However, I just found out from my still-living paternal great grandmother, that her husband's mother had 3 sets of twins and there have been many down that line to have twins as well, so I guess genetics were the main cause of my twins.

Kerri - September 29th, 2005 5:11 AM

Congrats on all the babies! I only hope that I am so lucky. I go to my doc on Oct 7th and am going to ask her about clomid. Wish me luck.... Anyone heard from Kim about the triplets? I hope everything is going well. I also have a question....when I do get my period (which isn't very regular, sometimes I don't get it for a couple months and sometimes I will get it twice in one month) I feel pain on both sides? Does this mean that I am releasing 2 eggs? It doesn't happen every time, but more often than not its both sides. Also, I heard that some foods, like yams, are supposed to increase your chance of twins. Is this true? Or has anyone heard of anything I can do/eat that might? Thanks...

Johanna - September 29th, 2005 9:40 AM

Yesterday I cramped all day I even went home from work early and lied down for a bit. I don know if it was because of the IUI. I thought all the symptoms would be over since I had the IUI on Monday and its thurday now. Im still cramping a bit now but not as much as yesterday. Did anybody ever cramp 3-4 days after the IUI?? just wanted to know if this is normal?? Thx

Everyone who conceived twin - September 29th, 2005 9:30 PM

For those of you women who conceived twins with clomid so far. I was wondering what your doctors reaction was to you pregnant with twins and if it made him/her suspicious of using the drug clomid. I have two beautiful girls and was thinking about using Clomid because dh only wants one more and I desperately want two more. Anyways, since I have only had singltons in the past and only have two cases of twins on my moms side of family..I am wondering If my doctor would suspect I used Clomid. Just wondering what the doctors reaction was to twin pregnancies and if you told him/her that it was help from using Clomid. Thanks for your answering! Good Luck to all!

everyone whos conceived twins - September 29th, 2005 9:36 PM

I was also wondering if there are any women out there who successfully used clomid to conceive twins and also used the Shettles Method to get the gender preferred. Thanks for your responses. Baby Dust To All!

To hmmm, you must be thinking about having twins yourself to have even came across this message board, or you looked for us to preach to. Either way, its our business and our lives. If you don't like it go find a message board for people like yourselves. Your input is not welcome. To everyone else, good luck. I will keep my fingers crossed for all of you!

brooklyn girl - September 30th, 2005 7:56 AM

to hmmm, seems that you are barking up the wrong tree on this message board. did you mother never teach you "if you have nothing nice to say than don't say anything at all" leave these girls alone and keep you opinions to yourself.

Amanda - September 30th, 2005 8:28 AM

I am fine. Been trying to get the backyard back into shape so it's ready for spring. Lord knows I won't be doing much then. I yawn non stop and can't get compfy at night, but that should go away soon. Most of my nausa is gone as well. Haven't had any spotting in a while. Next week was when I m/c last time and spotted the week and half before. Feeling pretty good about this pregnancy. How are you feeling Lauren, Jaime, Julie? By the way, I have my Q&A sheet my DR gave for clomid. I will try this evening to post some of the topics for those interested. Side effects, and how it works mostly.

Julie - September 30th, 2005 9:25 AM

Hey all...It's good to hear from you Lauren & Amanda. I'm slowly progessing into this pregnancy. I just wish I could be 13 weeks already! Not that that means everything will be peachy, but at least I'll feel a little better about the status of the pregnancy. This is when I started spotting in my last pregnancy (July), and miscarried a few days later. So far so good. I'm on the progesterone suppositories, and they're making me feel like I'm doing something to prevent another m/c...so that's good. I've been getting really sick lately. For the last week, I've been really nausious, and have to eat something small every hour or two, to keep functioning. I've also been having Naps...I actually require them, which has never happened in a pregnancy before. If I don't take one...like yesterday for example...I find myself falling asleep everytime I sit down for something. Seriously! yesterday I had like 5 15-20 minute naps, because I was expecting my brother to come over, and I didn't want to be asleep when he came. So I was exausted all day, and kept falling asleep, and waking myself up because I was paranoid I'd miss the doorbell. ANYWAYS, besides that everything's pretty uneventful around here. Nausious and sleepy. I had my blood tested on Wednesday, and it looked good. It's still low (only about 18 days, or less, past ovulation), but it raised from 38 to 198 in 4 days. So it's more than doubling. That helps me feel better. I'll try to get it checked in a few more days, to help myself stay calm. I look like a druggie with all the blood that's been taken from my veins in the last week and a half! They are so bruised! LOL! Well, I get an U/S in a 2-3 weeks, if I don't ask for one sooner. Lauren, do you have one scheduled yet? Hope you're doing well. Good luck to everyone else!

Everyone whos conceived twins - September 30th, 2005 11:10 AM

To Hmmmm....You have no idea what my marriage is like and have made so many false assumptions. My marriage is wonderful and if you must know, my husband is excited to have twins if possible. We have a 7 year age difference and if we are only able to have 1 next time around, then great..if it's two..even better. We're getting older and spacing out kids is getting harder. We are a loving family with family values and if i wish to drop an extra egg or two the month we conceive then it's my body. Only God can judge me. And as you know..God has made me an individual to make decisions. I know that my children are being raised up as faithful followers of Christ. My goodness!!! You totally bashed me because you "thought" you knew me. Don't judge. It's unbecoming of a person. Goodluck with your reasons to even be on this message board. This is for women who ovulate normally and want to conceive twins with clomid. So exactly why are you here???? Just to judge. God Bless!

hmmmm - September 30th, 2005 12:55 PM

so now that you see some objection... it was YOU that said " dh only wants one more and I desperately want two more" so, nope, didn't make anything up, make assupmtions. you are going for multiples when hubby is against the possability. this was all said BY YOU. and now you change your story when someone calls you on the pure wrongness of it. christian or not, that is wrong. especially if you aren't talking to your doctor about it.

mama-bean - September 30th, 2005 12:58 PM

I have to somewhat agree with hmmmmm. How is misleading your doctor ( and possibly your husband)and taking a drug illegally a good thing?

yas2000 - September 30th, 2005 3:01 PM

to hmmm and mama -pain IN THE &^*^ BEAN....GET OFF THE WOMAN'S BACK..YOU GUYS ARE REALLY THE PITS...
FOR EVERYON ELSE I THINK ITS BECOMING A PLEASURE FOR THESE WOMAN TO BE NASTY AND SARCY TO US AND AFTER NUMEROUS ATTMEPTS BY MYSELF TO EXPLAIN THAT POEPLE SHOULD NOT BE JUDGED I THINK ITS HIGH TIME WE JUST TOTALLY IGNORE THEIR POSTS...THATS THE ONLY WAY TO SORT THEM OUT...NO EXPLANATION IS NEEDED ANYMORE...IF I WERE ANY OF YOU JUST DON'T BOTHER ANSWERING TO THEIR COOMENTS AND POSTS...THIS WILL BE THE LAST TIME I WILL BOTHER...ANYONE HAS ANYTHING NEGATIVE TO SAY LET THEM BLAH BLAH BLAH....LETS US TRY ANSWERING OUR QUERIES AND QUESTIONS AS BEST AS WE CAN..THESE WOMAN HAVE OBVIOUSLY VERY BORING MARRIAGES..THEY HAVE NOTHING BETTER TO DO TO MAKE NASTY AND FALSE ASSUMPTIONS...A REFLECTION HOW EXCITING THEIR LIFE MUST BE...
