Julie, my Dr told me the reason I had my mc is because I did not have enough progesterone to sustain the pregnancy so he put me on clomid. Hope this helps!

Sorry, that last message was to: To Julie

To DP, My doctor told me the reason I had my mc was because I had to much progesterone. I guess it happens either way.

Amanda - so glad your u/s went well. And Julie sounds like your on your way. Yes Shannon I'm 13 weeks already. Went to ob yest. & heard the heart beat 158. She said all babies this young have a quick h/b. I'm been feeling a bit more movement which is also nice. Good luck ladies & I go to find out the big u/s on Dec 22nd however might be able to have a u/s on Nov 18th.

Amy...I think... My miscariage didn't really throw off my cycle...but that's probably because it was early in the pregnancy. How far along were you? I had my first "period" exactly 4 weeks after I started bleeding with my miscarriage. My first cycle after the miscarriage was a little nuts, because I ovulated SO late, and my doc said that it wasn't abnormal for your cycles to be a little crazy after a miscarriage. She said that it could take a few months to get back to normal...and then told me that if it didn't get normal soon, that she'd give me clomid. But, I already had some and used it, obviously. We didn't know I was pregnant when we had that conversation. So, I wouldn't be too worried if I was you. It's hard not to stress about it, I know. But, I've heard of it taking some people 8 weeks or so before they have their first cycle and start ovulating again. I'm sure it's different for everyone. Thanks to everyone for your encouraging words. This thread is great...just about the only one...have you noticed? So much bashing out there. Anyways, I'll be excited to see my doc again in a week and a half, to hopefully hear a heartbeat or two??? We'll see. Glad to hear you're doing well Lauren. Good Luck to everyone else.

Hy there all, Where is everyone located? I am in Austarlia and have ben watching this thread for a while now. Some of the meds people have named I have not heard of. Was thinking maybe they were from the US r UK and want to know equivalents in Au. Kind Regards,
Laura

Julie...I had the mc when I was 6 weeks along. I have my period exactly 4 weeks after just like yours. And I am on day 18 and no ovulation yet. Maybe it will happen for me on Day 20 like you. I will keep my fingers crosses. If not I guess we will try it all over again next month. Our stories are so similar though and it is nice to read your progress. Baby dust to all...

Hi everyone! today is 8 dpo and BFN. Obviously very early could not help but test it was driving me crazy. It didn't really help. LOL Oh well will keep trying.

Sunita - November 5th, 2005 9:06 AM

Hey everyone,no point in testing today, AF started...so here we go again! Back to square one...oh well.

Shannon - November 6th, 2005 12:27 PM

11 dpo and still BFN. ARRHG the thought of starting over.

Shannon - November 6th, 2005 7:33 PM

Well Sunita I am with you! AF showed herself today. I wasn't expecting it until closer to 14 dpo. The good thing is I don't have to drag it on that long. We get to just start over.

Hi--I am in the US but there are others from all over. Most of the meds that have been discussed seem fairly common in all different countries. Like Clomid, mucinex, robitussen, aspirin, vitex, progesterone, and folic acid. The only one in the states that needs a perscription is Clomid and it really hasn't seemed to be a problem to order out of country to get it. It may take some time but I would start from the beginning of these post and read them all the way through. There really is a lot of very useful information. Good luck, HTH. MMOT2002

Laura, to mmot2002 and others - November 7th, 2005 7:01 PM

Hey all,

I have managed to get one lot of 5 clomid tablets (50mgs). I have 3 children and am we plan on getting preg one more time. Would LOVE twins or more. I have been thinking about this for about three years now and never been able to find any other supportive people. I have read all the posts three times over and done research for a long time so I do know what I am up for if it happens. I ovualte normally and my three are 5, 3 and 1. I have had AF 4 times now (get it back at 8 months after each birth). I am just wanting to prepare myself properly so I am going to start folate this week. I have fallen pregnant within 2 months each preg. My mum's sister had twins, hubby's mum's sister had twins and my maternal grandmother was preganat with one lot of quads and two lots of twins. Anything else I can do to increase my chances? As I only have one lot of clomid I want to make the most of it. I was goingt to get some online but don't have a credit card so that makes that a little difficult as the don't sell it on ebay, lol. Would love any suggestions/advice from others. Kind Regards, LJ

We are kinda in the same boat. My dh and I have three children already and really do want a large family (5-6). So with my biological clock ticking sorta fast (my sister went into premenopause at age 31) I am wanting to expand before it is too late. My maternal grandmother had twin boys and there are three other sets of twins on her side of the family. She would just love to have a set of twin grandbabies, it would such a gift for her since she lost one of her twins at a young age. I have been taking supplements for quite a while now and did a test month this month on 25mg clomid days 4-8 and really didn't have any side effects except hotflashes so will increase my dose next month and really ttc. If you only have 5 tablets you might think about keeping with the supplements for a few months (they reccommend 3 months) and then give the clomid a try but other then that, sounds like you are on the right track. Take care and double baby dust to us all :o). MMOT2002
