Angelica: I will find out tomorrow if I am having twins, but that has never been my goal, I just want one healthy baby. Women who can ovulate on their own usually do not need clomid to convceive and I would never recommend you take it without a doctors supervision, as there can be very dangerous side effects. If you are simply irregular with your cycles, you would be a good candidate to track your ovulation with a home test and chart your cycles and I am sure you will achieve a pregnancy without the need for unprescibed drugs. Talk to your doctor for advice also. Try soy supplements, that is a natural alternative. Good luck to you.

MNMOM: Thank you for your concern, What kind of dangerous side effects are involved? there are 2 reasons i really would like twins, if i do fall pregnant again and carry to full term this it would be my third cesarean, (and I've heard you can only have 3 cesareans), and the 2nd reason is that my last pregnancy was identical twin boys with no help from any medication, unfortunately i lost them at 16 weeks, for reasons, I think could have been avoided, I know I can't change what happen and I can't ever have my two little boys back, and would never try to replace them, but I was told by my doctor that the chances of carrying identical twins again are very low, but I would like to try having twins again and to experience and carry to full term such a blessing.

I lost my pregnancy. I had a blighted ovum. M/c on sept. 25. Since then I had a period and started the clomid. I took it on Nov.2nd days 3-7 50 mg. I o'd on Nov. 13th very excited to see if i get a bfp! My son is going to college next Sept. my baby would be due early Aug. I really want to be pregnant now for I would feel weird about having a son in college and being pregnant. Twins are fine but please God not triplets!! One is hard enough. Two newborns is way hard , 3 oh my god.

rom - November 16th, 2006 1:12 PM

I took clomid days 3-7 b/c I read for older women it has a less negative affect on their lining and cm. I took mucinex starting the day after my last clomid pill to also help with cm and after I o'd I started progesterone supps just cause I don't know really why I m/c and the doc said taking it wouldn't hurt since I'm older and take thyroid meds and low prog. could be an issue. i am also taking a baby aspirin a day to help the lining and lots of folic acid, pnatal vits. extra vit b and b complex, corral calcium, vit c. I am 3 dpo today. I tracked my ovulation by observing cm, opk , and a ovulation microscope to observe saliva. Plus I'm lucky to have lots of ovulation pain the day I o and then I ache like in my uterus area for a couple days and bd'ing soothes it really well!!!!!!!

MNMOM - November 16th, 2006 2:13 PM

ANGELICA21: The use of clomid must be carefully monotored by your doctor. This drug hype-stimulates your ovaries which can produce large cysts on your ovaries which can burst and be very dangerous, women have lost ovaries as a result of this. I have a large cyst on each ovary that I am being carefully monitored for, they are quite painful and no fun at all. Your chance of twins is only 10% with clomid. I am only having one baby again this pregnancy.

Angelica21 - November 17th, 2006 4:12 PM

MNMOM, Thanks for that, I have tried asking my 3 Gp's and also a Gyno for a prescription and to monitor me, and with no luck, I really do want to try as this would be my last pregnancy, (last cesarean) and really would like to up my chances in having two, I really would like to be monitored as well buy am finding it very difficult to find a doctor that will do it, I have already ordered the clomid (100mg) hasn't arrived as yet, and if anyone knows a doctor or a gyno that would monitor me without hassells i really would like to know, u can email me the info if you don't want to post it, my email address if already posted. I have been reading what the ladies write here and it is very helpful, there are still alot of things i don't know, but i will do alot of research before doing anything. What I would like to know, when taking clomid, ovulation sometimes can change, should that happen, how will you know when your ovulating.
rom: all the supps your taking eg: baby aspirn and the other supps are you taking them together with clomid ?

Angelica21 - November 17th, 2006 5:04 PM

rom: by reading the posts i can see you have alot more knowlegde than me with clomid, could you pls help me, i too would like to start it for my own reasons which are already posted here, if it's not to much to ask could you please email me (which is also posted here) for help pls, I really would appreciate it very much.

Angelica21 - November 18th, 2006 4:30 PM

ROM: I am extremely sorry for your loss, I too lost my twin boys this September. ............God Bless.........

MNMOM - November 20th, 2006 8:35 AM

ANGELICA: You will have to use an ovulation predictor kit to determine when you are ovulating if you take the clomid. However, if you use clomid beware that it hyperstimulates your ovaries - if you stimulate them, but don't release the follicles, you will have a big problem; this is why it is so important to be monitored by a doctor. Also, this is the reason why clomid is often given in conjunction with another drug that forces you to then release (given via a shot by your doctor). Please think about these risks before risking your health and safety. I am very concerned for you!

Im so glad I came across this website. I have wanted twins ever since I can remember when I was a child all my babies came in pairs. I thought I was the only out there that was willing to take RX to increase my chance of having a multiple birth. Im reading everything and taking notes thanks!

Hi Ladies, Has anyone used FERTOMID before and gotten any result. Any info is appreciated. Thanks

Tenk - November 28th, 2006 12:46 PM

Veronica2007, I took Fertomid, it is the generic version of clomid. I took it days 1-5 at 100mg and got pregnant on the first round.

veronica2007 - November 28th, 2006 12:52 PM

Thanks Tenk, Where did you order it from.
