wewant3 - July 1st, 2009 5:41 PM

Hi everyone! I am new to this site. Hopefully I will be a clomid success story, but not yet. I have just been precribed clomid for cd5 through 9. I am on cd 3. I am so excited to start trying its killing me! I have pcos so my doc gave me 50mg to start. What days were everyone else supposed to start clomid?

bzwifenmom24_7 - July 1st, 2009 8:18 PM

Hey everyone. I'm on CD32, had BFN on CD27, CD30, and today. Still waiting for AF so I can book for HSG. I will have b/w on Monday if AF still does not show up by then.

Rpats: when you did your HSG, were you allowed to take clomid? Did you do them all in one cycle? I forgot to ask my OB if it's safe take clomid and have an HSG as well. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Wewant3: welcome. Most of us are taking clomid 100mg from day 3-7.

Hope: congratulations on your BFP. You gave us hope to keep trying.

1for2009 - July 1st, 2009 8:33 PM

Wewant3 - Hello and welcome. Good Luck this cycle...hopefully clomid works on your first try!! Baby Dust!!
Ashley - Let us know what happens at your appointment tomorrow...I will guess twin girls.
I have and appointment July 13th for pregnancy test unless AF shows. I'm on vacation until then so hopefully this will be the month.
Good Luck to everyone testing soon!!!

Mia602 - July 1st, 2009 8:39 PM

Well Idntown... I'm in limbo mode right now. I had two occassions this month where I had a positive on my OPK.... if the first one was correct, I was due for AF today... if the second was correct, I'm in my 2ww. I'm on my first round of Clomid and praying for a miracle. For the past 4 days, I've had some mild cramping... I don't know whats going on.

I was laughing at your story because it seems that there is a baby boom EVERYWHERE. One of my closest friends is due in 2 weeks and although I couldn't be happier for them, it was one of those things where they weren't trying, weren't even thinking about it, bd ONE time and bam... pregnant.

My husband and I have a big age gap which throws in another dynamic. But I am keeping faith, thinking positively, and doing my best to NOT obssess over this (although that's what I tend to do best!). I'm loving the success stories because it really gives me so much hope for what the future holds for all of us!!

merciano - July 1st, 2009 9:38 PM

wewant3..you are welcome to the forum, i hope you will get the needed support. Good luck on your cycle.

1for2009 & Mia...i pray its a BFP for you guys, we need more positives this month. GL.

bzwifenmom....sorry about the bfn but its not over yet, try nd get the b/w done and see the result. GL

Maya444 - July 2nd, 2009 12:41 AM

Hi all, been reading the forum and have now decided to join in. A little background: I am 25 years old, was diagnosed with pcos back in 2007 and have done two 50 mg clomid cycles this year with no ovulation. Now I am on my 3rd cycle on 100 mg cd 3-7. Today is cd 12 and haven't o'd yet...

Wish you all good luck with your cycles and lots of baby dust to all!

Chewymio - July 2nd, 2009 4:15 AM

maya444 and wewant3 - Welcome!!!!

Mia and 1for2009 - I hope you get a BFP!!!
I'm also schedule for a b/w sometime next week(July 8th). I haven't had any symptoms so I don't think the IUI worked. Today I'm on 9DPIUI. So if it doesn't work this time I have one more IUI try and then we move to IVF...

TinaOB - July 2nd, 2009 7:53 AM

Hi everyone!!!! This is my first time on here!! My name is Tina and in Feb 08 I had a stillborn baby girl Shannon 1 week over due and weighing a healthy 8 lbs and 3 ounces... She was wrapped tightly around the cord and didnt stand a chance the poor baby!!!! But 3 months agao I went to the doc and told them I have been trying since and they took tests and it showed I was'nt ovulating... They put me on Clomid 50mg day 1-5... I got a positive opk last month and got my period yesterday which meant I started clomid 3rd round yesterday!!! I go back for more tests after this round if no positive test!!!!

But Now I feel like its never going to happen... Its 17 months Im trying now and to no avail!!!

Does anyone have a story like mine and have success at the end of it... I need a story to help me see there is hope!!!

Chewymio - July 2nd, 2009 8:09 AM

Hi Tina, welcome!!! and I'm so sorry to hear about your baby, I can't imagine how painful that was....

I'm going to a RE, but before that I was going to my ObGyn and the did a few test and figured that I was ovulating, but when I went to the RE and they did the CD3 b/w(blood work) they discovered that my prolactin level was very high, in another words my body was thinking that I was pregnant so therefore I was not going to get pregnant. I know that this doesn't relate to you, but maybe in those tests that they may do you, you may want to mention the prolactin, the reason I'm saying this, is because they never checked it at my OB and I was on Clomid for three month at that point... I'm still not pregnant but my prolactin is now down to 4 instead of 66.... I hope this helps a little... and I hope you find some comfort in this site like I did. There are lots of very nice girls that are TTC as well and will understand what you are going thru... Best of Luck to you with Clomid, and maybe who knows, you may get pregnant this new cycle:).... take care...

Ashley2121 - July 2nd, 2009 9:15 AM

maya44,wewant3 & Tina - Welcome and good luck to all of you! You will find a great support system here :)

Tina - I just want to say I am so sorry for your loss. I cant even begin to imagine what you and your family went through. As hard as it is just know that God has a plan for us all even if we dont see the point of it. My fingers are crossed for you!

Chewy - Its still early so dont give up hope!

bzwife - I know you asked rpats but I just thought I would butt in with my HSG experience if you dont mind :) I took the Clomid 1st then had the HSG done afterwards. They will only do the HSG on certain CD to make 100% sure you are not pregnant. It falls right in between your last pill of climid and when you are supposed to start the bding. I remeber when they told me this I was so worried because I thought I would miss my chance to be bding but my dr said the bding doesnt really count until about 5 days after your last pill. Hope this helps!

ldntown - July 2nd, 2009 9:48 AM

wewant3: Welcome to the site! I am on comid as well for my first cycle. I started at 50mgs on CD3-7. Currently I am on CD19. I was moody, aggravated and emotional during my first round of clomid but nothing major. Good luck! I have heard of lots of people having success on their first cycle! :)

bzwifenmom24_7: I’m also having blood work on Monday just I’m getting tested for my progesterone levels to see if I ovulated. Good luck w/ HSG!!

1for2009: Have a great vacation and good luck and baby dust!

Mia602: I hear ya 100 Million % on that baby boom stuff. Ha ha. Everyone I know, knows a stack of women that are prego. What’s up with that? But like you said it’s awesome that we do hear these success stories because it really does make you feel like all is not lost and that there is hope out there! I’ll bet you did ovulate for real on the second positive…I wonder what would cause you to have two pos. OPKs…anyone else had that happen in the group?

Merciano: Thanks!! Yeah we def. need to keep the atmosphere light and filled with laughter! This TTC stuff can be so emotionally difficult…not to mention physically challenging.

Maya444: Big welcome to the group! Keep us posted on your status!

TinaOB: First let me say how much my heart goes out to you. I can’t imagine what you are going through, but my thoughts and prayers are with you. I am glad you joined our group—there are a lot of wonderful women in here that have given me so much hope in my journey of TTC.

GOOD LUCK TO ALL!!! BABY DUST!!! :)

rpats - July 2nd, 2009 10:04 AM

hello ladies....

welcome maya444 and wewant3 (so do I!)

Tina - I am so sorry to hear of your loss.... That has got to be one of the toughest things to go through in life. I wish you the best of luck in ttc and I hope it happens for you and your husband REAL soon.

bzwife- ashley pinned it! I was on Clomid days 3-7, and I had my HSG done on clomid day 4. The RE had asked me to schedule my HSG I believe 1 - 3 days after Af had stopped. I still have the instruction sheet at home- will check it and see if there was anything else more specific and let you know. But in any case, you can def do both in one cycle, you just have small window of opportunity to do the HSG thats all.
good luck!

on another note... yesterday was my 2nd OB visit. Guess when I went to her last week at 9w4d , she wanted me to come back after 10w to be "officially" in the system? not sure- but whatever.
anyways.... my husband and I sat in the waiting room for an hour and a half before we finally got in to see her. she was apparently seeing some other OB's patients who was vacationing! UGH. I was STARVING and cranky.... such a pain.
Then... i lie down, and she decides that instead of doing the vaginal u/s, she will give an abdomenal u/s a shot even though it is kind of early... I wasnt sure if she was saving me the discomfort or just being lazy. LOL. In any case, the abdomenal u/s was def more comfortable for me, but it was harder to see the baby. and you ladies know I had been panicking about the well being of the little bean since I dont really feel any pregnancy symptoms... so i asked her if she could tell me what the heart rate was, and she said she couldnt do that yet.. it was too early :( She did point it out to me on the screen and she did say it was fast and good.... she also didnt measure the baby - I kinda wanted to know how much it has grown, but the picture quality wasnt that great so it would have been too difficult. :(
She didnt seem the least bit concerned... she said my b/w was great... etc.
So I guess I should stop panicking... but I just cant help it.lol
ugh- i was just TOTALLY spoiled by the RE. Each time i went to the RE, they measured the length, estimated the due date, etc.....I guess OB's just dont do that.

ldntown - July 2nd, 2009 10:17 AM

rpats I would totally be the same way ha ha! I would want to know every detail! It sounds like all is good and well though! So exciting!!!
