Thanks, Dawny Sue. I know I am far from alone but it doesn't make it any less frustrating. I got on this medication to obtain a shorter cycle pattern and it does not seem to be working. By the way, I don't feel pregnant at all and I have been pg 5 times in my life and so I am pretty certain that I am not.

What I have to look forward to now is an appt w/ an RE in hopes of just getting better monitoring and a more aggressive approach. My current OB feels that since I was just pregnant on my own a few months ago that there is no need to be very concerned- easy for him to say!

Lacilou - November 4th, 2009 3:38 PM

I had mine checked on cd 25 because my cycles are a little longer then normal and was 16.43. Which he said was good. I took clomid for 8 months, then took 2 months off so my body could rest before I saw the specialist. Then the specialist put me on bc for a month then the clomid. Just wanted to see other test results. Does anyone know what it is supposed to be if your preg??

DawnySue422 - November 4th, 2009 4:17 PM

Spark- I know it is frustrating. I have never been pregnant and last month I was upset that my clycle was so long and no BFP. My doctor assured me that if I O'd on the 13 or 14th cd that I would have a 28 day cycle. Well he was very wrong! I too am frustrated about the lack of monitoring. My Dr. gave me a three month script for clomid and said contact him if I'm pregnant or don't get pg by the end of third cycle. No b/w, scans etc. Anyway I'm sorry that you're having a frustrating day and I hope things will get better for you. I will cross my fingers that we both get shorter cycles and get our BFP.

OK ladies...I just have to share in my HUGE sigh of relief!!! DH was thinking about accepting a promotion with the military that would have sent him to another unit. A unit that is deploying in March/April. He had until Friday to give his answer. I have been TERRIFIED that he was going to take it after our conversation last night between the two of us and then with our Pastor as well. This deployment would have taken him away from me during the end of the pregnancy as well as during the delivery and most of the first year....it was an 18 month deployment. Well, I just received a text message from him stating he IS NOT taking the promotion! YIPPEEEE!!! I know that he wants to be promoted, but this really just isn't the time to do it. I really can't wait for 8/2012!!! I've been with him thru 2 deployments as a wife....but as a wife and mother, would be a little TO HARD for me!

Anywho, I just had to share that with ya'll!

Sending baby dust to everyone and can't wait to hear more BFP's soon!!!

Ib...am so happy for u, your DH took the best decision. He will definitely get his promotion some other time, enjoy urself with dh by ur side all thru. Good luck girl

shashana - I have some medical stuff coming up in January so I was gonna have to wait until about March or April to start TTC again. But that may not even happen now. I had to come back to the states because my mother is very sick and we think that it wouls be best for my 3 yr old ds, to just stay here for a while. I have a felling I wont be going back home for at least a year. So once AF finally shows up I probably wont be around here anymore just because it is so hard to be supportive when I have been waiting for this for so long. Good Luck this cycle! I hope that you get your BFP!

merciano - I dont have any more test here so if AF isnt here by Sunday morning then I will go buy another one. Normally I spot for several days before AF arrives and it is always here by 16dpo. So I guess we will see what happens but with the way that my luck has been going I'm sure that it will be a BFN. Good Luck testing on Friday! I will be waiting to hear some + results!

lb - I am not doing any b/w this round because I had to make an abrupt change in my schedule. I had a family emergency come up and I had to fly back to the states. I was lucky enough to get my OB to give me the hcg shot early. She only agreed to that because I akready had 2 mature follies. We bd'd that night and then the very next morning I was on a plane back here. I'm not planning on seeing an OB here unless I get a +HPT. I know that deployments can suck! My dh is militart also and he is deploying in March too. If I got prego this cycle I would be due Jule 16th, which is when he is scheduled to be gone. Being overseas, I would have a little better chance of having him home for it because we have to have someone there to take care of our 3yr old. My dh has been in for 12yrs so we have 8 more to go!

rose - Good Luck this cycle! I never had any s/e with clomid and I went all the way up to 150mg.

Dawny - Thanks for the hugs. I need them right now!

cilla - It's good top hear from you again! I am glad that an RE is taking care of you because you will be getting all the attention that you need. Good Luck!

lm - I know how you feel about this cycle being a bust. I hope that my feeling is wrong because I dont want to wait a year to start ttc again. What dpo were you when you tested? I am wishing you luck!

Elle123 - November 4th, 2009 5:43 PM

Hi ladies:

IB, sounds like great news! Glad for you.

Just wanted to give you an update. I'm still having spotting. Unfortunately, it has turned more period-like as opposed to the description I have seen for implantation bleeding. I'm SO confused. I usually have a REALLY long cycle and have obviously never started (or spotted) at 5 or 6 dpo. Is an early period a s/e of Clomid? I guess it affects everyone differently. So disappointed.

I'm supposed to get the results of my b/w today or tomorrow (and they actually thought they could do the beta test so we'll see), but I'm not too hopeful this is my month.

So frustrating--I just thought for sure things would start to work once we were on Clomid. UGH!

E

Soready- So sorry for your bfn! It may still be early. I hope your mother feels better soon.

Chewymio - November 5th, 2009 9:55 AM

SoReady - I'm so sorry for your BFN and hope that your mom gets better... I totally understand why you would want to stay away from the forum... I'll miss you and not reading your posts... Please take care and I wish you best of luck!!!! hugs and kisses!!!

Lacilou - November 5th, 2009 12:04 PM

Well today is cd 25 and I took a test last night and it was neg which I figured because I have been having some awful cramps. AF still hasn't showed up but will soon. Not sure what the next step is. He may check my tubes to make sure they are not blocked. Has anyone had that done?

CrossingMyFingers - November 5th, 2009 12:10 PM

Hey everyone...I just had a question....I am on CD20 and I still have not had a positive OPK...on monday my u/s showed me having multiple big follices...i think the lead was at 15mm..so don't you think it should have happend by now?? I am soo frustrated!

Swiatkowski - November 5th, 2009 12:18 PM

CrossingMyFingers: My doctor said that Follicles usually pop out on their own around 20mm or a little more. People on clomid tend to ovulate a little later, if they don't ovulate on their own. Since I was given a trigger shot when my follie was 20mm x 21mm on day 17, I probably ovulated on day 18 or 19

lmcollier09 - November 5th, 2009 12:44 PM

Lacilou- yes I had the stest done and everything came back fine both of my tube are open.. I cramped a lil while the dye was inserted n the tubes... other than tht it was quick and easy....

Lilyloo - November 5th, 2009 12:52 PM

Lacilou- I had the test done and my only remaining tube was fine. I had one removed after a ruptured ectopic pregnancy. It was a very uncomfortable procedure, with some cramping afterwards. It made me want to just go home and rest. It is something that should be done before taking any clomid, etc b/c if the tubes are blocked, then that month of clomid was a waste.

rpats - November 5th, 2009 12:52 PM

lacilou- the test is really not that bad....i know its scary, and i was terrified when i had it done, but the worst of it is the feeling of cramps... and you have the tendency to move when you feel a cramp, but you have to lie very still. the whole thing was over in just a few seconds- like less than a minute..... good luck to you!
