Nitu: CONGRATS! Welcome to the club!

I know the month I got preggers this time, I used Robittusin (sp?) along with my meds and the pre-natal vitamins. Worked for me. I will now swear by the robittusin.

Maya444 - November 6th, 2009 1:36 PM

Nitu- Congratz again! Hope your have a healthy pg!

Nikki- When do you test? I know you mentioned it, but I forgot. Wishing for a bfp for you :)

Merciano, Shashana, Soready- Any news to share? Sending lots of baby dust your way!

Chewy- Are you still taking the BCP's? How are you holding up?

Wishing everyone lots of luck with their cycles!

Chewymio - November 6th, 2009 1:59 PM

Nitu - Congrats!!!!! Hope you have a very healthy 9 months!!!

Maya- Thanks for asking. Yes, I'm still taking BCP's, I'll be done the 17th and I already got the whole protocol for the IVF.. I'll be taking like 7 different meds and the majority are injectables(Fun:()
My insurance already approved the procedure as well as the meds. I'm so thankful!! I thank God that I'm able to at least have the chance to do one IVF for practically nothing I can't imagine going thru this and not been able to pay for it, well that will happen if this one is not a success. I'm praying that it works. I went to the acupuncture yesterday and it went well.. Next friday I have to go for a mock egg retrival and Sunday 15th I start lupron(injects) for like 3 days.. then wait for AF and then the real fun will begin, LOL!!!
It looks like my ER(egg retrieval) wouldn't happen until sometime december 2nd, well this is an approx day and then the ET(embrio transfer) the 5th...
How are you doing? What CD are u in?

Maya444 - November 6th, 2009 2:47 PM

Chewy- I know IVF will be a long and hard process for you, but it will give you a really good shot at getting pg. And yes, you are lucky that your insurance is covering IVF. We don't have the coverage, and it will cost us about $12000-$13000 which we don't have! How many embroys are you planning to transfer? Wish you luck and I will pray that this works for you. You deserve it big time!

As for me, today is cd10, day 9 of injects. Nothing is happening yet, so I guess it will be like last cycle. Will keep you posted!

nitu - November 6th, 2009 3:01 PM

Spark-I took 50mg of Clomid on cd 2-6. I ovulated on cd 17 and tested the first time on cd 27 (10dpo) but that was very faint. Took it again the day after and that was much better to see. I called my doctor when I was 12dpo but the nurse said she wanted to wait until I was at least 14dpo. So I went this morning. I pray that it will happen to you soon! :) That would be so great!

Thank you so much for the congrats everyone... I still find it hard to believe. :P The whole family is so excited. It'll be the first grandbaby for my parents and stepmom and the second for dh's parents.

lbstakely - November 6th, 2009 3:17 PM

Nitu: Are you having any symptoms yet? Just wait till the fatigue hits!!!! Haha...then the hormones!!!! You'll be happy one minute and then the next ready to bite ANYONES head off!!! Not good when you're working! Trust me! I couldn't tell you how many times I've had to step outside just to get a fresh breath of air. Of course it didn't help me that even BEFORE I was pregnant I hated the women I work with. Talk about NOSEY! Anywho...not going to rant and rave.

Another fun symptom to look forward to? Bigger boobs! I had a DD before hand and now they're just THERE! And the other....well, DH may not like this to much, lack of sexual desire! You just won't want it! Not until mid 2nd trimester. Just kinda an FYI of other fun symptoms to look forward to.

Krissy68 - November 6th, 2009 4:11 PM

merciano - How are you doing? I'm doing okay just trying to take each day as it come and not stress out too much.

nitu - Congratulations!!!! I'm happy for you and I can't wait for your next update. Krissy

Krissy68 - November 6th, 2009 4:15 PM

Hey girls I just wanted to say I hope you all have a nice weekend and I will be off line for about a week I am having my surgery on Tuesday. Krissy

lbstakely - November 6th, 2009 4:21 PM

Krissy68: Good luck on your surgery!!!

nitu - November 6th, 2009 4:59 PM

lbstakely-Well, I don't have socalled "Morningsickness" yet or anything. I'm just extremely bloated at times and run to the bathroom more often then I usually do (even wake up in the middle of the night cause I need to go). Sometimes I've got light cramping but other than that... Well, I've always been "built close to the water" (like my mom would say because of my mood swings sometimes). Well, the lack of sexual desire already started, much to my dh's dislike... :P How far along were you, when the fatigue started?

nitu - November 6th, 2009 5:03 PM

Krissy68: Thank you! And I also wish you good luck on your surgery!

lbstakely - November 6th, 2009 6:16 PM

nitu...The fatigue started to hit about the 5th week. Don't worry, it gets more intense with time but then backs off mid 2nd trimester....just in time for the sexual desire to get on the rise.

I started my 9th week today and I'm still feeling fairly good as far as no morning sickness. Maybe you'll luck out like I did with that. I have yet to get sick.

If you want, you can e-mail me at lbstakely at yahoo dot com. HAHA! Can't put links so that's the best I can do.

Swiatkowski - November 6th, 2009 8:04 PM

nitu & lbstakely:

I know I'm not in this conversation, but figured maybe the symptoms I'm experiencing, will help with your comparisons.

The first week I started "noticing" anything was day 19, with very high anxiety. Now granite I was working on a big case at work, but I have never had anxiety at my job. Then on day 29, I was sent home early to take it easy and just relax from the 2 pushing weeks. I still had the anxiety through out that week, and the following week, I found a tea (suggested by a midwife, caffeine free) which I drank for a week. Camimile.. not sure of the spelling.

I had the obvious frequent urinating start right off the bat, bloated, stuffed nose, Lower back ache (week of conceived) Sore boobs, sensitive to smells, easily snap, then fatigue hit, and it hit hard, I'm fortunate to not have morning sickness, but sometimes that worries me.

I practically have to fall asleep by 7pm or 8pm, I try to force myself to stay up, but with a full time + job, tends to wear me out.

Now at week 6, I'm dealing with constipation, extremely bad, this is my first, so I just have to find the right supplements and prenatal that doesn't bother me. I also started experiencing migraines, which my neuro said being pregnant would be probably the best "migraine" free time, as birth control is what caused my headaches, and I found out by that same midwife that I'm probably not drinking enough water, which will help with the migraines and constipation. Even though I thought I was drinking enough, as that's all I drink to begin with, I don't like soda, no more caffeine, so water or propel bottled water is all I drink.

I had one panic this week, as ever since we found out I was preggers, I would constantly say no getting excited as it could end, as we don't know what my body is going to do, since with PCOS, and miscarriage on my dad's side. Well I guess I was looking for every little sign of miscarriage that I was being paranoid, and had some lower back ache this monday, and of course started freaking out, but no spotting. I did call the obgyn and nurse requested from doctor to do blood work, but he refused as he said "you wont be able to tell anything on what is going on with the pregnancy", which I know it's completely true, but I had no spotting. But the nurse told me not to be so negative and putting it in my mind that I'm going to miscarry as that can affect things.

So now I have started talking as if it's really happening.

So wish me luck for the 8th week to show a heartbeat!

My first appointment is a week 1/2 Nov 18, so i'll keep you updated.

nitu - November 6th, 2009 9:55 PM

Swiatkowski-Well, I'm constipated every now and then and that's what I put my cramps to... 'Cause as soon as I actually can "go" it gets better. I'm not really sure if I'm that sensitive to smells yet, but both of my cats got that flea treatment stuff on the back of their heads and I couldn't stand one of them close to me 'cause it just seemed to be to strong a smell... I never thought though that that may be because of the pregnancy.
I read that you fall asleep easily? i'm just tired but I have a hard time falling asleep at night. As soon as I lay down, the bloating and such seem to be worse and make it hard to get comfortable.
My nurse also told me to not think about the bad stuff that could happen but to think "Happy thoughts", so I'm trying that, but off course if something hurts you are alarmed...
I'm sure everything is fine with your baby! I'll pray for you. Thank you for sharing! It really helps with figuring out some symptoms (or possible symptoms).

Ibstakely-Well, I hope we'll both be spared by morning sickness. :P That's absolutly something I'm not looking forward to. The real bad thing though: I heard that you can become like car sick (motion sick) when you're pregnant. I thought, great, what am I supposed to do? I get car sick without being pregnant. I guess that means at some point I'll be the one having to drive all the time... :(

Nikki995 - November 6th, 2009 10:21 PM

Maya~ 5 more days in this miserable tww. Thursday will be 8 days from my last HCG injection so it should be safe to test then. I've been trying so hard not to read into every little things this time. I just keep reminding myself that most womens' first sign of pregnancy is a missed period. How are the follies growing? Had any scans recently?

JessBednarski88 - November 6th, 2009 11:54 PM

Today I'm CD 25 and I think I may be ovulating. I thought I was ovulating 2 weeks ago. I was cramping really bad and had EWCM, so I took an OPK test and it was negative. Yesterday I woke up with really sore nips and had some more cramping so I thought I would take another OPK and it was positive. I'm soo confused. I was planning on taking a pregnancy test on the 17th, but now I'm not really sure when to test. Can someone ovulate more than once? Has this happened to anyone before?
