Hey Everyone! Sorry about all the bad news lately. I hope you are feeling better. I am not doing so good either. Today is day 15, so I should be ovulating but I do not think that I am. I have been taking the tests but they say I'm not. I will go to the doctor next Wednesday for a 21 day progesterone test. I wish things would work out for all of us. I do not know what the next step will be for next month if I don't ovulate this month.

Hi elwood. I don't like the opk either. I really don't think that they work for me. I am on cd 14. I see 2 lines, one is the test line and one is the reference line. The test line is supposed to be darker than the ref. line or the same exact color that means that I will be ov' in the next 24 to 36 hrs. I took one last night and this morning. The lines look almost the same but I am still not sure I will feel better if my test line was a whole lot darker then the ref. line then I would know for sure. But I am not letting it get me down. DH and I bd on cd 10,12,13,so far. If there is a mature egg there, there is definetly going to be enough semen. I am praying so much that this our month.

well guys....... I thought I would give cheri a try. So when I went to payment options the sight is closed down and will not reopen until the 26th so she can catch up with the people that has already paid. Then I thought I would give california psysics a try. After given them all my info including name, b- day credit card # and address. for a 5 minute free reading just to find out they are not allowed to answer any medical questions. Pregnancy is consider to be medical. They assured me that nothing will get charge to credit card. It very well better not! I only signed up for the free reading anyways. He tried to sell me more time but I declined. I made sure I asked several times that I will not be charged and he guaranteed it. I should've hung up after all the info he wanted just for the free reading. but when your eager you will go along at the moment. I should just go with my heart and let nature take its course. I will take today as a sign as the readings may not be in my favor this month. I will just go with the flow and see what happens without the help of predictors.

Bul - I'm keeping my fx for you too! Rowan - you didn't start a black cloud. I'm just glad that I have you guys to talk to. We're all in this togehter, until we ALL get BFPs!

Kimmer23 - October 25th, 2007 11:29 AM

Rowan - I started thinking about your situation. If you O'ed on cd 8, and you didn't start af until cd 30 or so, that is a really long luteal phase. I found this: One of the main causes of a delayed period (extra-long luteal phase with high temps) with negative pregnancy tests is a luteal cyst. In the event that there is NO pregnancy, the corpus luteum also shrivels up and stops functioning-- ending the luteal phase. The drop in progesterone causes your period to begin.

SOMETIMES, however, there is no pregnancy, but the corpus luteum turns into a small cyst and continues to secrete progesterone long after it's supposed to stop. This is called a luteal cyst, and is responsible for too many false hopes! (Progesterone also causes PMS and pregnancy-like symptoms, such as tender breasts.) If this is the problem, it's simple to resolve (usually a single injection takes care of it) but your doctor needs to see you!

Just an FYI. It may mean nothing, but I thought you may want to ask your doc about that.

sammommy - October 25th, 2007 11:40 AM

Candie25 - October 25th, 2007 1:44 PM

Hello Everyone! I have PCOS and am currently taking 1500mg of Metformin and about to start my 2nd round of Clomid (150mg). I have been following this forum over the last few weeks and I don't think I've seen this posted, but thought it may be useful to know. Last month Walmart introduced Clomid into their Generic Drug Program. 150mg (3 pills a day for 5 days) of Clomid generic is going to cost me $27.00 this month versus $75.00 if I went to CVS. I am sure a lot of us are paying out of pocket for these procedures and medications. Every little bit helps so if you have access to a Walmart Pharmacy it may be worth looking into. Good Luck to everyone. I can honestly say I know how difficult this is for those who are hoping, praying, waiting waiting and waiting. Congrats to those who have been successful and I wish successful, healthy pregnancies.

elwood - October 25th, 2007 2:03 PM

geewife1- I know exactly how you feel. Sometimes those opk's are so hard to read. Good luck to everyone. Our time is coming:)

Kimmer23 - October 25th, 2007 2:43 PM

So, I think I know how some people about opks. But, I was curious if anyone found them helpful or does anyone just use temping? I would like to narrow down when/if I O next month. But, I haven't had much luck temping and I've never tried opks. Just looking for experiences and opinioins.

elwood - October 25th, 2007 3:05 PM

Kimmer23- I really have not had much luck lately with opks. I have taken them in the past and gotten a positive that I was ovulating, but now I never do. I have not tried taking temp yet. I bought an ovulation thermometer, but I have never used it. It says you are supposed to take it as soon as you wake up-before walking, talking, eating, drinking, etc... Before you do anything else basically! I dunno if they work or not.
