SM 2008- I have had a few minor side effects so far. I am currently on CD 19. I took Clomid CD5-9 at 50 mg. I have had some hot flashes, increased urination, lower abdominal discomfort, and the first two days I had a headache. That is about it though. In the end I believe it is worth it. I hope I O'd this month but ot sure. Go for my progesterone level on Monday and we shall see. Wish me luck!! Baby dust to all of you! |

SM 2008, I hope to give you piece of mind and encouragement. I took clomid 50 mg on my first month from CD 3 - 8. We did not get lucky that first month though. I had horrible cramping for a week and a couple days during O time. It did pass though and I was okay. I took mine first thing in the AM. Had no s/e besides the cramping. I then took clomid 50 mg on CD 3 - 7 the second month. Same thing, took it in the AM first thing. Had absolutely NO s/e, not even cramping during O. I actually had a few fleeting twinges only around O time, but was not even sure if that's what was happening. I had given up and didn't feel pregnant. I got my BFP after that second round though on November 24th. I had tested on the 21st and got nothing, so I waited and those three days did wonders. I actually got my first ever digital positive "pregnant" :) My DH and I were on our 19th cycle of trying to conceive. We have had 4 m/c's as well during this period early on...very early on. We are extremely positive this time, as things are much different with this pregnancy. I just want you to know that it can and will happen :) Baby dust to you! |

Hi Ladies, I am 26 years old and currently trying to conceive. at age 21 i was pregnant with a little boy but, unfortunately I ended up with pre-clampsia. I held as long as I could which was almost 4 weeks, at 26 weeks my water broke and i had my little boy who didn't make it. It took me a long time to recover and recovery is never really 100% but finally at the age of 24 1/2 i ended up pregnant again but this was was leading towards a miscarriage and my dr decided to do a D&C. Once I recovered from that both my husband and I went through a few other medical issues that we decided to resolve before trying to conceive again. Mine was gallstones :( . It's been 2 years now of the dr's not doing any testing and saying everything was fine with me when it wasn't cause I have not been ovulating and one of my tubes was partially blocked. Long story short my tube was unblocked with just a little pressure wash :) and I am now on my second month of clomid. I started at 25 and am now at 50. I really want to be positive but it's so hard after so many dissapointments. Reading these success stories really give me hope, thank you girls. Babydustxoxoxoxox |

Well I got my progesterone level checked on cd22 and it was an 8. Before it was a 0.7 so I guess there has been some progress. The nurse seemed optimistic that I O'd but I have been reading that only a level above 10 can confirm ovulation. I am not getting my hopes up to high this time. I guess I didn't realize how disappointed I would be. Good luck to the rest of you this month. |

sdillon777: Oh my gosh, I am so happy for you! That makes me excited since I was at a 0.5 last time I had my blood taken and my levels tested. I go on 12/08/08 to get my blood taken again. I am nervous but trying to stay positive! I just keep imagining the pills working and try to picture everything that is happening in my body. Like the sperm meeting the egg and ll of that! I will keep my fingers crossed for you. Good luck and best wishes! |

Jill n Mark- I will keep my fingers crossed for you as well. I know what you mean about imagining what is happening in your body. It is hard not to get consumed with the thought. Good luck and keep me posted when you find out!! |

I'm trying not to get to excited. What if after all this, the Dr tells me it may never happen, how do you all stay so positive? I'm so scared! |

nwb1977 : Oh, don't think the thought hasn't crossed my mind more than once. I know it will be hard if that's what it comes down to but I always tell myself everything happens for a reason. You may not understand why at the time but at some point, something is gonna happen where it clicks and you think this must be why. It really helps being a part of this forum too! As you can see from all the women's stories on here, you are not alone and when one person finds out they have conceived, it is so inspiring to not give up! Hang in there and don't be afraid! |

nwb1977: I think we all feel scared, but we try to overcome that feeling with positive thoughts. Some of the closest people to me ask me the same question "how can you be so positive after everything that has happened to you" and I always answer that God knew his reasons as to why he did what he did, but that's not keeling my faith, and it really doesn't..... but believe me I am so scared. What scares me the most is having to go through 9 months of not knowing if everything is going to be ok.... will I end up with Preclampsia again? it's a lot of stress on us girls that only those who go through it can actually understand. So my opinion : you can have a lot of faith and think really positive even though you're somewhat scared. |
