Kelly: there's only one accurate way of finding out, and t hat would be a blood test from your dr, they also do another internal check that allos them to feel if the uterus is swollen or not which would also state if your pregnant...... It's nervewrecking to even think that the result will be negative, and it hurts but it's better then not knowing at all....... I keep telling my hubby that I'm almost positive that I am, but like he said to me the other night, let's just wait and see, and he says that to me cause ever since I lost my first baby anytime that I know everythings is functioning my mind starts playing tricks on me, but hey i don't care i still want to believe that i am and if not then next month is just around the corner........ babydust :)

Hazlepurr~ Trust me I know what you mean. The whole process is so stressful. Then I am told not to stress out. I think my husband and your husband should get together. I feel like he doesn't understand and I guess a part of him doesn't. With me taking this clomid I have been going through so much emotionally. I just sometimes feel like I am alone. I am so happy that this forum is here. This is a place where I know other women understand what I am going even when I feel like my own husband doesn't. Babydust your way. Do you think that I should go get a opk? Do they work? I am willing to try anything. My doctor hasn't really been giving me to much direction when it comes to this except when to take the clomid and I already knew that because of being on here. If you have any feedback that would be great.

BABYDUST..

Thanks

maggie1118: at first i didn't think the opk worked cause it would never give me a positive, now i know why.... but since i've been on clomid and following the dr's intructions most of the time on the 2nd day of when they tell me to start testing i get a positive result. so it has been working for me and i also want to let you know that i wasted 2years with 2 dr's that said everything was fine, that i just needed to be patient, i didn't think everything was fine and would ask if there were any tests that could be done to further investigate but no everything looks ok, well i was naive enough to do that for that long, until i finally said i want to be referred to a specialist. I wasn't getting any answer from these dr's, which was making me think something extremely bad was wrong with me.... once i saw the infertility specialist, 15 days later i had surgery cause i had a minor mucus type blockage in my tubes which got flushed out once they went in with pressure and while they did that they checked to make sure everything else was fine, long story short. everything looked perfect the only thing left was ovulation, and this is only my second month and i achieved ovulation and a pretty high number. don't lose hope and find a good dr, it makes a huge difference......
about our hubby's.... mine really does try but they will never fully understand cause they're not going through it, i wish they would though... :) mine actually felt pretty bad a few days ago cause having scheduled sex is not as much fun or romantic, but he would put it off until i was asleep sometimes which tic'd me off, so whenever that happened i would get really irritated, so just a few days ago he saw a notebook with every days of the month showing my blood pressure, temp, heart rate, what med i took, any symptoms, intercourse or not, spotting or not, and e asked what's all this, i told him that was all the stressful hard work of monitoring my body every day so that we could make a little miracle, and the reason i get upset when he gives me a hard time because if u miss the window of opportunity then you lost an entire month of work, which I'm sure all of the ladies in this forum would agree is very stressful to deal with to just throw it down the drain...... so keep your head and your hopes up high and lots and lots of patience....... babydust.....xoxoxox:)

sorry for stealing half a page :)

hazlepurr~ I am on clomid 50 too well I already had my first dose anyways, so I am hoping that these symptoms are because of pregnancy and not all in my head. Im not going to test until 12/25/08 because I dont want to test to early I have done that alot but I do hope that we can become friends and help each other and be there for each other emotionally. I am anxious to and Im trying to keep my cool because as much as I want to be I dont believe that I am, and my instinct is mostly right usually soooo. you can imagine how I am feeling. Please keep in touch it is so nice to meet someone whom I can go through this with. Thanks.
April

mommysomeday - I am on my first round of clomid as well. I will also be testing on the 25th. I am expecting af on the 27th, but I would love to give a positive result to my DH on Christmas.
Hopefully we will all get bfp's

Morning ladies!! I have heard back from one person but all of you who are taking the clomid.. how are feeling on the medication. I'm really nervous to start as my Dr told me it makes your emotions go loopy and become very anxious. On cd 43 today!!! What a waiting process....

maggie1118 - December 10th, 2008 8:23 AM

Hazlepurr~ Thank you so much for the encouraging words. Sometimes that all I need. This 2 is my 2nd time. I am actually taking provera once again to bring on normal menstration. Once I get my period I can start the clomid again this time 100mg. I am planning on going out and getting a opk this weekend. so I test myself after i get my period? My dr is a specialist and I dont know if I am asking the right questions. I sometimes feel like I am being brushed off. this will be my 2nd dr and it is frustrating. but I can't lose hope. Its important that I stay on top of my body and whats going on with it. I too have had all the test and the only thing wrong is not ovulating which is a bummer. but thank god theres medicine to help with that. I am just going keep my head up and schedule another appt with my dr to go over a few things. I will keep you informed of any progress. I hope you do the same.
Thanks so much once again and have a great day.

BABYDUST your WAY

nwb1977: Just thought i'd share with you that if it makes you loopy then that's really bad........ if it's anything like the loopy that i know.....I have a Jack Russell Terrier who's 7 and we named her Loopy but she really is Loopy how funny....... :)

hazlepurr - December 10th, 2008 7:51 PM

maggie1118: I went through that stress 2 with my dr's where they would answer me as they were walking out the door :( that's how i found this forum, i started to do my own research through google and i then kind of became the dr and started demading certain things, in a nice way of course ..... just keep doing what your doing and remember we're all here for each other......:) babydust and you are in my prayers......

mommysomeday: this isn't easy at all and all of you on this forum have been such a great support , i do hope that we all get the opportunity to see a pic of each others babies when they're born........

hazlepurr - December 10th, 2008 7:57 PM

hi ladies: today i went to the Dr and they did a blood pregnancy test, but honestly i don't know if i can take another no.......i'm very happy that i'm now ovulating and i guess i'm just not being greatful enough cause i i also want to hear that i am pregnant.......i couldn't help it and did a urine test which came back negative becuase it's probably even to early to detect anything if something were there, i get my blood test result on friday cause the dr's office is closed tomorrow, but iam freaking out, i really feel pregnant, i have a big lower ab discomfort with some like tingly sensations, sore breast but only during certain times of the day, a little nauseaus and very tired.....pray for me girls i don't want to hear a no and have to realize that i'm feeling all these things again because my mind is playing tricks on me........you know i think the having to wait and knowing that every attempt failed means you have to wait another month to know is the hardest part of all of this, anyway i honestly have been praying for all of my girls in the forum to get a special x-mas gift this year, i hope we all do, wouldn't that just be the best gift ever...... babydust...xoxoxo....

samantha08 - December 10th, 2008 8:04 PM

HazelPurr - GOOD LUCK to you and DH. Hope you get a BFP! My prayers are with you. I am on my 2nd round of clomid 100mgs, 4th day of taking clomid, stop tomorrow.
Side affects have been shocking with 100mgs. 50mgs was not too bad... Can't wait to hear your results. Try not to be too disheartned if its a BFN just think its one step closer... Let us know what your FSH, P4, E2 etc is.... Like wise I prayer for every single lady on here with the same heartache...baby dust and good luck!

nwb1977 - December 10th, 2008 8:12 PM

samantha.... what do you mean shocking?

hazlepurr - December 10th, 2008 8:14 PM

thanks Samantha, but i'm curious too, what do you mean shocking, if it's anything severe you need to let your dr know.
May GOD hear all our prayers .....:)

samantha08 - December 10th, 2008 8:17 PM

Ha Ha - sorry girls SHOCKING is a phrase we use in Australia, just means terrible in this context, when I say my side effects have been shocking I mean that I have had severe Diorreah, nausea, hot flushes etc... sorry to have confused you guys! By any chance have you girls heard of any success stories with Clomid 100mgs?

hazlepurr - December 10th, 2008 8:20 PM

Smantha: yes i have, actually my ultrasound technician at my dr's office is pregnant with her third child and for all 3 pregnancies she had to take clomid. this time she went up to 100mg and is now 8 months...... i was thrilled when i heard her story, she was the first one to tell me i needed to believe in clomid cause it did work.

thanks for the explanation, so you're in Australia, I'm in Florida. ....... :)
