Hey Everyone....I am on cd31 today. I am so nervous to see if I will start my period or not tomorrow. I don't know when the right time is to test. I'm not giving my hopes up tho because this is only my first round of Clomid and not many have had the success the first go around. When would it be safe to test?
~~Hoping4baby3...I read Shannon_Atlantas story and she found out that if you do ovulate, then the clomid can actually stop the ovulation. Maybe that is what happened with you!
I wish everyone good luck! Lots of Baby Dust to all!!

Katie, I'm on days 5-9. And I know what you mean, I'll be the same way with the tests this month. Hoping4baby3, that's really tough not ovulating with the clomid. It kinda makes me worried, because I did ovulate on my own, just not consistently. I'm surprised they didn't increase your dosage to 150mg? I'm on cd6 today too. At least we can be cycle buddies!

katie_028 - January 26th, 2009 4:34 PM

Hoping4baby3- best of luck to you..that is scary that is made you stop ovulating...i am on my first round of clomid on day 5...

hoping4baby3 - January 28th, 2009 12:07 PM

Hi everyone! Sharing this journey with all of you make me feel better.
**jen thanks for referring that story to me. I will read it as soon as I can. Let us know when you test. I have a huge problem with that since I am very impatient and my husband gets angry because I start testing 10DPO! hehehe ** Les the truth is that my doctor did not want me to take the comid at all, but I begged him until he did. He will definately not increase it, and I am not sure I would want to at this point. If it does not work this month then I will stop clomid all together. I look forward to being cycle buddy with you... I never realized how long a month really is... hehehe When will you start the OPKs? I will start tomorrow. **Katie dont worry... I think not ovulating in clomid is rare. I am sure you will ovulate.
Everyone, I have a strong feeling that this will be our month so lets stay positive! Baby dusts to all!

JenPrice883 - January 28th, 2009 1:15 PM

I still haven't started my period. It was due yesterday but nothing! My breasts are very sore. I will test tomorrow! I am sooo nervous to test because I'm really not up for the disappointment. :-( All the symptoms I have had are the same as if I'm about to start my period. What do I do if I'm not pregnant and don't start my period? Can I still take the clomid w/o a period?
*Baby dust to all*

hoping4baby3 - January 28th, 2009 2:19 PM

I wouldn't start the Clomid before you get your period. I read clomid is really bad on the fetus if you take it and you are in fact pregnant. I would absolutely make sure you are not before starting the clomid. If you are not sure ask a doctor please.... If there's any consolation all the times I have been pregnant I felt like I was getting my period too… so you never know!

JenPrice883 - January 28th, 2009 3:24 PM

Yea I am def. gonna test before anything...lol. It's just gonna be depressing if I'm not preggo and no period this month because of my PCOS! That means I would have to wait until I start again (God knows when that will be..LOL) But I am on Metformin too for my period. It helped me have my period last month. I was thinking about switching doctors. My husband found out some details about a doctor that tests you alot throughout the months. The doctor I go to now, gave me the clomid on Dec.30th (I was on day 3 of my period) and told me to come back in March. So obviously they arent too concerned about me..lol. If I'm not preggo by March...Imma switch doctors. I wish u best of luck w urs!! I know it's gotta be rough being on the 6th cycle. I'm stressing on my 1st hahaha. Lotsa baby dust! Obviously I have jinxed everyone around me except me....LOL.

les706 - January 28th, 2009 3:47 PM

Hoping4baby3 ~ I think I'll start my OPKs this weekend. I had a hysteroscopy today and have an HSG on Friday, and my doc said no bding til after those two tests.
Jenprice ~ That is bizarre about your doc. My doc ordered every test under the sun in the first month. If it doesn't work before then, I'd def switch docs. Do they have you at least getting u/s and bloodwork done while on the clomid?

JenPrice883 - January 28th, 2009 4:34 PM

**Les....No, they took blood work before putting my on Metformin. They just gave me the clomid and basically have at it...lol. I didnt know docs do all those types of test until I got onto this website. I prolly will switch doctors...maybe even this month. The doc my hubby was talking about is really good...most women leave the place w/ twins...LOL. ~Baby dust to all~

katie_028 - January 28th, 2009 9:33 PM

jenprice- best luck to you. if you are not pregnant anddont get your period, they could put you on provera, which makes you get your period, because you have to take clomid when you have your period...thats what they did with me...i hope that helps a little

Vickybelle - January 28th, 2009 10:13 PM

HI I've been reading this forum since I started my first round of clomid 3weeks ago. My husband and I have been trying for 14 months. All our testing came back normal but the RE we just started going to prescribed 100mg of clomid cd5-9 to give me a boost (I was Oing on my own). I had an HSG on cd 8 and an u/s that showed two mature follies on cd 14. They gave me the HCG trigger shot the same day and husband and I started BDing. I'm now 4dpo I think and I'm going crazy this cycle! I know my chances are much higher this month with the clomid and HSG so I'm so excited and can't wait. I was told to test on 14dpo Feb 5th. Anyone testing around then?

JenPrice883 - January 29th, 2009 2:56 PM

Hey everybody...Well, I got a hpt today and it was negative! I feel so bummed out now. Never in a million years did I think I would have problems conceiving. My breasts r still sore, so hopefully I will start my period so then I can start another round of clomid. I had me a melt down earlier but feel better now...LOL. I'm not giving up!!! I know it will happen one day cause I have a 3 year old boy to prove that I CAN do it! Lots of baby dust to all and a whole lot of good luck to everyone!!!!

les706 - January 29th, 2009 4:53 PM

Jen - sorry to hear about the negative - but until AF shows up, there is still hope! And I know what you mean, I never thought I'd have a problem ttc. My two oldest sisters got pregnant accidentally. I try to time it perfectly and it doesn't happen! Go figure...
I am REALLY nervous about my HSG tomorrow. The hysteroscopy was so painful, and I'm still a little sore from it, and I heard that the HSG is painful too. I def won't be sleeping tonight (not that I have since I started the clomid...argh)

lon-to-be-a-mom - January 29th, 2009 5:30 PM

les` i had my HSG done last month. I went into it not really knowing how it was going to feel. It hurt bad. But the main reason was that I have a blocked tube and the pain came from all the dye they were putting in the blocked tube. Dont worry though, just take some ibprofen and try really hard to relax. It makes it more painful if you are tense. I am on cd10 and I begin my ovulation testing tomorrow. This is my second round of clomid and I am feeling optimistic about it. We have figured out that we have to relax and so we are trying to keep busy and not focus so much on this. Trust me it is hard, we have been ttc for two years with our share of disappointment. I am here for encouraging words if anyone needs it and baby dust to all.
