les` i had my HSG done last month. I went into it not really knowing how it was going to feel. It hurt bad. But the main reason was that I have a blocked tube and the pain came from all the dye they were putting in the blocked tube. Dont worry though, just take some ibprofen and try really hard to relax. It makes it more painful if you are tense. I am on cd10 and I begin my ovulation testing tomorrow. This is my second round of clomid and I am feeling optimistic about it. We have figured out that we have to relax and so we are trying to keep busy and not focus so much on this. Trust me it is hard, we have been ttc for two years with our share of disappointment. I am here for encouraging words if anyone needs it and baby dust to all.

lon~ thanks for your support. It is definitely difficult not to dwell on it, and I know, stress makes it worse. We've been ttc for 2 years on our own, and finally decided to get some help. I'm on cd9, just finished my last dose of clomid today (first time). Let's hope we both get our BFP's this month!!!

Hi ladies.

Les - I had an HSG earlier this month and other than slight cramping during the test and a little a few hours after, it really wasn't bad at all. My doc prescribed Cytotec, which I took the night before the test to relax my cervix. Then, I took some ibuprofin the morning of the test. The cool thing is that you get to watch it on the screen as the doc does it so you can see your results right away. I have never had a baby so my cervix is tight (doc's words, not mine - ha!) so he had to try with three different catheders until he could get one past my cervix. Now that I think about it, that was kinda uncomfortable too. LOL. I had to shift around a little until he squeezed it through. Lovely.

I'm at cycle day 24 (about 9 DPO best I can tell). I am going to test on Wednesday before my husband and I leave for our one year anniversary trip to New York CIty for a long weekend. Wouldn't that be a wonderful anniversary surprise?

Prayers and baby dust to all....

Hi Laides! I'm new here to the forums, but I feel better knowing I'm not the only one that's going thru all this.

I'm 27, been with my hubby for 7 1/2 years, married for almost 4. We've been TTC since the day we got married with no luck. I've not had a non-medicine induced period since I was 12. I was on birth contfol pills for years to try and "regulate" my period. Once we were married, I came off the pills as we started TTC. Periods completely stopped. Dr. tried a couple of different meds with no luck in bringing back my period. Switched doctors and was finally diagnosed with a form of PCOS. I've been on Provera every month since July '08 and started on 50 mg of Clomid, then moved to 100 mg by November with no luck. Just finished taking my first round of 150 mgs today (I took it days 3-7) and am crossing my fingers it works this time! Trying to keep my spirits up.

Prayers and baby dust to all!!!

Hey everyone...I have started my period today. Woo Hoo, I am so excited. Will be starting my second round of clomid tomorrow! The Metformin really has helped my get a period these past two times. If I am not preggo by the 3rd round of clomid, I have to go back to the doc and do a HSG. And hopefully I will be preggo by then cause they way ya all talk about it....it's souonds pretty painful!! But I will take Ion-to-be-a-moms suggestion and take some ibuprofen before getting it done. For now imma stay with my old doctor. Maybe they do know what they're doind...IDK. We will see. Good luck to everyone!! ~BABY DUST TO ALL~

Well I had the HSG done today and...it wasn't bad at all! I cheated a little, I took half a percoset before I went because I was so afraid after the hysteroscopy. But it was just a little uncomfortable, a little crampy, and then done. It helped that my tubes were clear, I heard it is very painful if your tubes are blocked. So all that worrying over nothing :) Now it's bd time! I'm on cd10 and took clomid days 5-9 100 mg. When should I start the OPK's?
Shannon~ that would be awesome to get a bfp for your anniversary! Good luck and let us know how it goes!! Baby dust to everyone!

samantha08 - January 30th, 2009 9:25 PM

Hi Girls - Havent posted for a while, as I have been travelling for work... but im back now. Good luck to you guys that had the HSG I heard 8 out of 10 women conceive after they have that doen as it flushes your whole system. So GOOD LUCK!
As for me I currently on CD 27 OF ROUND 3 CLOMID. I went for my day 21 hormone level check a few days ago and to my amazement my progesterone was a whopping 65.5!!! I made an appointment with our RE immediately - she said there is a good chance I maybe pregnant as my progesterone has trippled since last round, which was only 21.2. I am around 9 DPO at the moment, But my Fiance and I are not going to test as my period is expected in 5 days anyway..... I HOPE TO GOD SHE DOESNT ARRIVE!!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE pray for us girls!!! My RE suggested I see her by the end of the week if no AF, she said she would conduct an ultrasound immediately to see how many babys there maybe... Has anyone got an idea of what a progesterone level of 65.5 means??? Do you reckon there maybe a good chance I am pregs??? I have tied to google it for info... but the info I have isnt that great. Good luck to you girls... hope we all have success this year!!!xoxoxo Love and Baby Dust!

JenPrice883 - January 31st, 2009 10:23 AM

Samantha...Good Luck to you and lots of baby dust! I have read in so many websites that more women get preggo from their 3rd round of clomid. IDK what the level numbers suppose to be. Still trying to learn all of this new stuff...lol. I am starting my 2nd round of clomid today since I've been AF since yesterday. I tried cd3-7 the 1st round. So imma do cd2-6 this round.

Hiya Jen - Thanks for your reply.... Good luck hun with your 2nd round. I really hope it works for you and DH. My RE put me on Clomid 150mgs days 4-8 because she assumed I was going to ovulate later in my cycle as they are around 32 days long. And she was right... I did ovulate but still late. What MGS of Clomid are you on this round??? Take care darling and good luck. I am 3 days away from expecting AF - I really hope she does not show up.... I am feeling nasueas and hungry as well as urinating alot - but can't yet tell if it could be becasue of a pregnancy or period??? Will update ya on my progress in the next couple of days. I usually start spotting a day before my period is expected so I guess I will find out in 2 days rather than 3.... baby dust and good luck to youxoxoox

JenPrice883 - February 1st, 2009 8:46 AM

Well I went to the docs this morning for bloodwork and u/s. I have one follicle maturing - but it's not enough yet. I go back on Wednesday and as long as its 20mm by Wednesday they will give me the HCG shot. It's at 18mm now. Hope it works!!!

hoping4baby3 - February 2nd, 2009 9:55 AM

les, I am at cd14 and I go tonight to get my follicles checked. What day r u? Do you know when is it big enough to trigger? Lots of sticky baby dust!!!

jessi01 - February 2nd, 2009 10:14 AM

hi everyone,
well my appt. yesterday sucked really bad. None of my eggs where mature, but i haven't lost hope because the nurse told me that my estrogen levels where up, so i do have some eggs maturing very slowly . and they also said that the lining of my uturas is 8.5 millilitters, so that is good also because that means that my uturas is getting ready for a embryo(s). so i'm not that bumed out. they gave me another appt on thursday the 5th, because they are going to keep monitoring me to see how the my eggs are maturing,. they said they did not want to cancel this cycle becuse something is happening so they want to continue. so i still have have my fingers crossed.
well i'll keep u posted.

les706 - February 2nd, 2009 3:17 PM

hoping4baby3~ I am on cd 13. My doc said they'll give me the trigger when its 20mm (which hopefully is Wednesday). I've read though that 18 is big enough, but I guess just to be sure they prefer at least 20mm. Let me know how it goes! Good luck and lots of baby dust!!!

samantha08 - February 2nd, 2009 5:31 PM

Jen - Good luck hun... keep at it I am sure you and I will have a success story by next month. Fingers and toes crossed for you guys xoxoxo
Jessi01 - Don't be disheartened hun, it does want to make you burst into tears - but I have been through 3 rounds now... I will be going onto my 4th if AF does show up tomorrow. And I have reached the conclusion that for my Fiance and I to come to erms with our bad news at appointments means we have to enjoy the thought of be able to have another shot. Try and think of things that way - and also it's a good thing your blood work is getting better - cause at least them you know that Clomid is making ur body react in someway. Hopefully it will only get better xoxoxo
Les706 - That is brilliant... I hope this follicle matures fast - then we can all look foward to the good news of your lil bubby! Have you had any cramps from it??? How did your bloods for this month turn out? Lots of baby dust to you xoxox
Hoping - God luck with your ultrasound tonight xxx I hope you see atleast one! Which I am sure you will.... Have you had your bloods checked this month? If so what was your P4 like? Good Luck xo

As for me - AF is expected to come into full swing tomorrow - I usually start spotting the day before and so far nothing. So I am hoping that it wont show at all - fingers crossed for us girlsxxx
I am experiencing some cramping, twinges and lower back pain - But can't tell if there period pains on pregnancy pains. My wierd symptoms so far are frequent trips to the bathroom, constipation, excessive hunger for just about anything, tiredness and sore itchy breasts. I am not trying to fool myself into believing I am Pregnant - as I have done so before and was absolutely crushed when I wasn't, but these symptoms plus a 65.5 on my Progesterone bloods is making me think otherwise. Anyways will get on here tomorrow to let you know if AF showed up.... HOPE NOT XOXOXO take care and good luck girls!

jessi01 - February 2nd, 2009 8:50 PM

Samantha08, thank u for ur words, i guess i should not be that sad because its not like they have told me that we are gonna cancel this cycle, everything is just working slowly but surely.I will just have to wait and see till thursday and see what happens then. i really hope that things work out for u. Hopefully we will be posting a success story soon. Only god knows when our tunr is gonna happend, and i know it will be very very soon, for all of us. We can't give up, we have come along way and we r so close, FINGERS CROSS. Everyone i know this will be our month.
Lots of prayers and babydust to all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
