Hi girls. I was looking on the net and discovered something called an "instead cup". Has any one else heard of this? Well here is a little info on the device: This device was officially for periods Instead of inserting the "Instead Softcup" during their periods, trying-to-conceive couples are using the Softcup following lovemaking to help pool and hold sperm around the cervix! Also semen can be directly deposited into the Softcup reservoir and inserted directly into the vagina and around the cervix. By combining the Softcup with laying down or reclining after intercourse, you have a great TTC strategy for keeping sperm where they need to be - near the cervix so they can pass into the uterus and fertilize an egg. Softcup fertility success stories are now so commonplace that "Instead softcup" has filed for FDA clearance to officially market the Softcups as a conception aid! Better yet, Softcups are "body friendly and body safe." They have been tested for biocompatibility and are hypoallergenic. In over ten years, there have been absolutely no reported incidences of Toxic Shock Syndrome. Instead Softcups are made entirely of hypoallergenic, non-toxic, non-irritating, non-absorbent materials that have been used for more than 20 years in the health care profession. And the Softcups have NO irritating LATEX! The Softcups CANNOT be re-used and should not be worn for more than 12 hours. For use as a fertility aid, only a fraction of that time should be required. Basically the cup helps feed semen to the cervix directly for about4- 6 hours. They are really inexpensive~ FREE US/Canadian Shipping on orders of $14.95! All orders are shipped same day received via US First Class mail and usually take 2 to 5 days for delivery in the US. You can get 5 cups fpr about 7 dollars. If anyone wants to read more about it you can use google~ "Instead softcup for conceiving". There you can read success stories and learn more info about it. I thought it was interesting and I had never heard of it before. I don't know ? But maybe it's worth a try. Sorry for the long post. BTW I believe that you can go to walgreens, walmart, CVS, or target and by them as well.

interesting geewife! I googled it, and it looks like it may be a good idea...and cj - I think that progesterone level is still great!! Mine was 0.4 last month, and my doc is hoping for it to be between 6-10 on day 21 this month. So, as far as I know, that seems through the roof.

ninasimmone - November 6th, 2007 11:39 AM

if you ovulate you should get pregnant or can you ovulate and still not get pregnant anyone on clomid and glucophage?

sammommy - November 6th, 2007 11:49 AM

Hi Nina ~ Ovulating is not a guarantee for getting pregnant. Unfortunately :( Some women on both Clomid and Metformin haven't gotten pregnant with ovulation, and others have. I wish for everyone's sake it was a guarantee : ) This process would be so much easier!!!! Can't wait to hear some positive results ladies!!!! ****BABY DUST*****

Wow these things seem to to fill up really fast. I am getting really excited to take the drug. I just got really sickand lost some weight, so I am hoping that maybe that might help me with ovulating. Not the best way to lose weight.. but hey...
I am hoping that I also get to learn all of the Cycle lingo as well.. CD, things like that..
I also started a group on myspace, incase anyone has that.. I don't mean to take away from here, but I thought I would trhouhg it out there.

nina: you must have long cycles. you said earlier your af started on the 14th of october? and yeah I gained a few pounds from the Clomid aswell. At least that's gonna be my excuse! Lol. nina, please start reading through our posts before you double and triple post the same things. we answer. you just have to fish through the posts sometimes. these clomid posts get super long on their own so double posts make it even longer! i'll try to answer you, though, when you have a question i think i can help with. and omg this is my last day of Clomid and I swear I'm going to get a Tylenol IV drip. my head hurts so bad today lol. although we had a change in the weather so who knows what it could be lol.

anonlady - November 6th, 2007 4:54 PM

Thank you Rowen, Kimmer and CJ for the well wishes! AF has not shown yet, although it's not due until the 7th or 8th, and I don't have any AF cramping yet...which is really odd. Last month they were so bad I could hardly stand up. Not this month, I feel fine besides some lower back aches and sometimes a shooting pain in my lower tummy every now and then. About implantation spotting, if you google it, it actually says it's really rare to get. My doctor told me the same thing. But for some women it is normal, and for some women it is normal to spot during the whole 1st trimester with no complications. I think each woman is different if you ask me....
I'll test again tomorrow or the next day...kind of scared to now, I don't want to lose hope!

sammommy - November 6th, 2007 4:59 PM

Anonlady and Geewife ~ I'm sending all the positive thoughts I can your way!!! Positive, positive, positive :>)

geewife1 - November 6th, 2007 5:38 PM

thanks sammommy for your support. I have not tested yet. I didn't even see a postive opk until cd 19. I am currently on cd 26. I usally get very sore nipples and breast when my Af is trying to show but no sore nipples or tender breast as of yet. But I am having cramps and shooting pains in my lower stomache and my hips and back are starting to ache and last night I had a very unusual painful cramp in my vagina. I don't know what the heck that was. Theses other symptoms are usual and they are followed by AF. This fri will make only 9 dpo for me. I will try to test then. If I get a - I will continue to test up until next wed. which will be 14 dpo and If I am prego I should get a positive by then I would hope. If not hopefully My Af will come without the help of provera this month. Next wed will be cd 34 anything over cd 35 is considered irregular cycle and would need to be started with provera. But I am still keeping hope that I am prego. I have been a lot more calm this month and hoping for the best. G/L to everyone else.Nina~ thanks for clearing that up you didn't have to mention you and your hubby race unless you really wanted us to know. It don't and shouldn't matter what race you are we all in this together.(ttc). BTW I am African American as well.
