Hi Ladies,

I went to my gynae for U/S and for the first time I saw my baby, so tiny about 12.5mm Doc given me 1 week MC to rest at home due to am experienced some brownish spotting for past few days. I was given a hormone jab to support the pregnancy. Was pretty worried but I leave everything to God to give me 9 months healthy pregnancy.

Ladies, miracle do happen! I cant believe am pregnant now because i was tempted to be a mother and it was very frustrating when u saw the -ve result on the test kid. But when u are pregnant, more things to worried, to make sure the baby is growing healthly. Well, let us draw strength from each other here at this forum and things will goes well.

Have a pleasant day ahead.

Love
Angie

Angie, congratulations on your new baby! How far along are you?

I got my results from my CD21 b/w yesterday and it turns out that I actually ovulated. My progesterone level was 12.8 which was a nice jump from last cycle's 0.8. I guess I'll know by the end of next week if we conceived. But, with the ruptured cyst, I'm not too hopeful.

Hope you all have great weekend!!

Abby

hello ladies, well i go tomorrow for my bw to see if i ovulated he wanted cd 25 i had no symptoms or a pos opk this month. I think the 150mg didnt do anything, so im taking my ob/gyn advise and i scheduled an appt with a fertility specialist i got an appt for friday already so im excited but nervous also. they said they would check with my insurance to see if some things may be covered so i will let you know what i find out. baby sprinkles

prayin4ababy - May 19th, 2009 12:20 PM

hey heather & everyone else. i go in tomorrow as well for bw to see if i ovulated. this was my fourth cycle, but the first time at 150mg. i had pain around the 14cd which makes me think i ovulated. i had this same pain my first cycle and my level showed i did ovulate. hopefully, this will be my month. i go in again on the 28th to go over the bw and the past 4 mths to see where we go from there. if all goes well, i won't have to do this again. i'm very nervous. if i didn't ovulate, i think i will be joining heather at the fertility specialist. let me know how that goes. good luck and baby dust to all!

keric200 - May 19th, 2009 12:21 PM

Hi Ladies,

Well I had my appt with the fertility dr yesterday. I feel much better after talking to him!

Heather...we will have to compare notes to see what your dr tells you.
He explained that based on my circumstances I have just two options at this point. One is to have this surgery to see if my eggs are getting to where they need to be or to do the IUI procedure...that however is around $500/treatment. He did say though that he would only try it three times and if it didn't work then we would have to go to the surgery option. I asked when we would be able to start the IUI process and he said that it would be next month as I would have most likely already ovulated this month. He did an exam and said that I hadn't yet though...which made my heart skip a beat...he said he was gonna give me an HSG shot to trigger ovulation. So we have to see if that works this month and go from there. I will say talking to him and finding out our options made me feel better.

I hope everyone is doing well...I will keep everyone posted as to how things progress...baby dust to all! :)

AbbyJo_123 - May 19th, 2009 4:43 PM

Keri - Glad you had a good appt with the RE. Fingers crossed that the trigger shot works! Did he already give you the shot? If so, do you have plans to go in and see if you O'd?

Heather, I hope your appt Friday goes really well also!! Keep us posted on the news...

As for me, I just wanted to share my completely unexpected (but really great) story. Yesterday, I went to my doctor (PCP) for some x-rays of my shoulder/rib due to an unfortunate fall on my dirt bike last week. When the doc asked me if there was any chance I could be pregnant, I said, well, there's a small chance. So she wanted to do a pregnancy (urine) test and I actually told her there's no way that even if I were pregnant it would be positive seeing as how I was only 11 DPO and it was 4:00 in the afternoon and I had been drinking water all day so I'm sure I was slightly diluted. So, as I sat in the lab waiting room in my gown waiting for my x-rays, the tech came back and told me that she couldn't take my x-rays because the test was positive!! I was definitely in shock and didn't believe the results were accurate so I took another HPT this morning and sure enough, it was positive! So today I went and did some b/w to check my beta (hcg) and progesterone levels and I'll go in again Thursday to make sure it's increasing at the proper rate. I'm a little nervous for whatever reason - trying not to get too excited. I'm not even sure I fully believe it yet. BUT... after that horrible ruptured cyst and all hope lost for this cycle, what a surprise it was!! Yay for Clomid!

Hope you are all doing well!

Abby

keric200 - May 19th, 2009 4:49 PM

Abby - What a great surprise!!! I hope that everything goes well! You must be so excited! Keep us posted on how things are going! And yes I have an appt in two weeks to see the RE again...he said he would be able to tell me if the trigger shot worked and if not start the new process...so my fingers will be crossed until then. :)

ttc-23,29 - May 19th, 2009 6:08 PM

Congrats Abby!!!!!!!! It seem like this is going to be another big month for BFP.

I am on CD 19 and happy. I had my progesterone checked yesterday and the doctor call and said I O'ed!!!! She was so positive that this was going to be my month. Even if it not she said she would give me the injectable for free next cycle. I wish she would have told me that before I spent almost $1000 on med the previous cycles. I am not sure which day I O'ed. I took the trigger on Monday once I found out my four eggs were large enough, but did get a + OPK until Thursday. So I am either 8dpo, which the doctor believe I should be, or according to the OPK I should be 4dpo. I am going to try to wait until my period to do until I test. I am sure I am not going to make it that long, but I will try.

Congrats to all the new BFP and all cycle buddies.

haveboxerwantbaby - May 19th, 2009 7:27 PM

hi everyone, i have only posted a couple of times. it's encouraging to hear all the stories here. i have a question about taking clomid. i know this isn't the wisest decision but i'm taking u/p clomid this cycle for the 1st time and i'm wondering if it's better to take it day 3-7 or 5-9. is there a difference? also i have a long cycle [about 33-35 days] so i don't know if that makes a difference?

i maybe ovulate around day 21 or 23 [according to months of ovulation sticks]. also, i've heard about robitussin or baby aspirin? what do they do?

i'm hoping to have twins. they run in our family, i.e. my dad is a twin. i'm 30 almost 31, and my husband is 35. i don't want to have kids too late...we've been ttc for almost a year now!

thanks for all the varying perspectives so far.

any thoughts would great. gl and bd to all!

AbbyJo_123 - May 20th, 2009 9:24 AM

Thanks everyone for your congrats! I'm really nervous though - I'll definitely relax when I get my b/w results back. Hopefully, I'll hear Friday...

ttc - I know what you mean by waiting to do the HPT until AF is supposed to come. I was going to wait until Friday to test, so before my test on Monday I was thinking, man, this is going to be a long week. Fingers crossed for your BFP!

haveboxer - Based on what I've read lots of people take Clomid CD 3-7 or CD 5-9. I've even read CD 2-6 but I think that's a bit early. I think the difference has to do with the maturity of the follicle. The earlier you take it the more follies you have and the later, you may have less follies but they are more mature. But, I'm no professional and I'm not entirely sure of the benefits of either. I've always done CD 3-7 and it worked for me this cycle. However, if you're ovulating on your own, I'm not sure why you've decided to take Clomid. Generally, it's for those who need a boost in the ovulation dept. As for robitussin and baby aspirin - Robitussin (like Mucinex) is supposed to help with creating cervical mucus. Often times, Clomid can cause your CM to be hostile or even non-existent. Baby aspirin is supposed to increase blood flow to the uterus (I think). But, I'm not 100% positive about the purpose of baby aspirin. By the way, have you been seeing an OB regularly during your ttc journey? If not, I would encourage you to. There could be a lot of underlying issues as to why you're not conceiving. Also, Clomid has an increased risk of causing ovarian cysts so before I started taking it, I had a thorough exam by my OB. I still had a cyst rupture during this cycle, but I was monitored accordingly. Also, it's standard practice to have b/w done on CD 3 before you start taking Clomid to check your levels of FSH, Estradiol, prolactin, and TSH. And then more b/w is done CD 21 to check progesterone levels to see if the Clomid is doing its job. Sorry, I'm not trying to discourage you from taking it u/p, but you should be aware of the s/e before you start taking it. On the other hand, it could be your husband rather than you, if he hasn't been checked out. ...just my thoughts... GOOD LUCK!! :) P.S. What dosage have you decided to take?

Heathermed20 - May 20th, 2009 2:47 PM

Abby I am so excited for you!!!! Congratulations!!!
ttc Good luck sounds like your on the right track to.
keric, what problems did your dr say you have like pcos?? or just unexplained infertility???
prayin4ababy, I am cd 25 today had my bw today to but i didnt have any symptoms this month on the 150mg like i did on the 100 last month so who knows im thinking it will be lower than last month, I probably wont have the results before friday when i go see the fertility dr.

I have a story to tell all you tho, the lab girl who took my blood today told me she was seeing the same fertility dr i am gonna see fridy and she loves them says they try real hard to help you and works with your insurance so i was happy to hear that, she then told me she has 2 kids from a previous and wants 1 with her new husband just like me exc i have 1, she had 2 rounds of ivf done and they didnt work she told me she and her husband took a loan out it cost then $15000 i was shocked and felt so bad for them, she said the dr office told her there are grants she could actually apply for to cover the cost of ivf, just wanted to share that with you........

Heathermed20 - May 23rd, 2009 1:08 PM

Hello all, Well i went to the fertility dr yesterday and he made me feel better. He said he was gonna be more aggressive than my ob gyn. He did a progesterone level and an us, i have to call on tues and if its low he wants to start my af via a shot and then on cd 3 i have to get lots of blood work and xray if all is good he seemed to think it was just an ovulation problem he felt good about helping us. He said he didnt think the clomid was helping so he was gonna try a diff drug. I am hoping all is well with everyone how is everbody doing????????

AbbyJo_123 - May 26th, 2009 9:45 AM

Heather, that's great news from the RE! Based off the stuff I've read, it always seems like the fertility Drs do much more monitoring than a regular OB - like ultrasounds and b/w. That's great! Fingers crossed for a good first round!! :)

As for me, still waiting on my results from my b/w regarding my HCG levels. The office closed Friday at noon and the results hadn't made it in yet and of course they were closed yesterday. So, today's the big day to see if my levels are rising properly.

Abby

prayin4ababy - May 26th, 2009 9:54 AM

heather, that sounds wonderful! that really gives me hope. i had my b/w done last week & my progesterone level was a 9, so no o. my ob said they would up my dosage one more month to 200 mg & if no o next month, they will send me to an RE!! i'm really hoping it works on the 200, but if not, hopefully my news at the RE will be similar to yours. keep us all posted on your levels and what medicine they put you on. i'm very curious to see that bc i don't think clomid is working for me. good luck to all & baby dust!!
