sorry forgot to put that I am taking 50mg

Chel-C - May 12th, 2008 12:32 PM

I am 23 and have been TTC for 2 years now! I was just diagnosed with PCOS and Hypothyroidism. I am currently on CD 12 of my first cycle with 50 mg Clomid CD's 3-7. With that I have also been taking Pre-Natal Vitamins, B-Complex Vitamins, Synthroid for Hypothyroidism, 81 mg baby Aspirin, Robitussin for CM and will start Prog. Cream after O. Very anxious to say the least! Baby dust to ALL!!

Chel-C - May 12th, 2008 12:35 PM

Krissy 68 - Any good news?

Chel-C - May 12th, 2008 12:48 PM

There are some questions within this post that were left unanswered and I would like to answer them in caes there are others that have these same questions.
- 81 mg Aspirin "baby aspirin" helps with building up the uterine lining and also helps to prevent possible blood clots that could prevent fetal development.
- mucinex or robitussin can be used after the last dose of Clomid up until ovulation to help thin out your cervical mucus making a better environment for the sperm to survive and do their job. Clomid dries up cervical mucus which makes for a hostile environment for the sperm.

Svang - Welcome to the group. I'm starting my 4th round of clomid 50 and I normally take it on cd 2-6 but I wasn't feeling good so I'm started today cd 3-7. Good Luck to you.
Chel-C - No AF found me 2 days before schedule I started on saturday and let me tell you she isn't being very nice. I have been soaking through everything and passing large clots. I'm doing okay just having some mild cramps and on my lower right side it is hurting and my lower back. I will keep you updated. Krissy68

i take my clomid -generic brand 100mg cd 2-6 so very similar to your case. i have not heard much sucess taking it as late as cd5-9? the earlier the better as you develop more follicles in time for ovulation. I have been on clomid in the past but suffered chemical preg or early miscarriage at 6 wks, so no baby from it yet for me. good luck 2 u!

Chel-C - May 13th, 2008 10:38 AM

Krissy 68- Ugh. Sorry to hear about Nasty AF. I've deffinitely been there!! That's the worst. Good Luck and lots of baby dust on 4th round! I'm on CD 15 now (I was mistaken on my earlier post about current CD), still no O - hoping it will come! I started late on BBT charting so I have been relying on OPK's, not sure how trustworthy they are. Baby Dust to ALL!!!!!

Krissy68 - May 13th, 2008 3:40 PM

clomidchic - good luck to you.
Chel-C - I will keep you updated and how are you doing? Krissy68

Teddyfinch - May 13th, 2008 4:52 PM

clomidchic: the earlier you take the clomid, the higher chance for m/c because the follicles aren't as developed as if you start on days 5-9. btw, i'm pregnant and took it days 5-9 for all 3 cycles.

Chel-C - May 14th, 2008 12:05 PM

CD 16 and still no O. I'm starting to get nervous that 50 mg Clomid isn't going to work for me! I guess if no O, I will start 100 mg next cycle!! I have been doing 2 OPK's a day, one in the morning and one before I go to bed. We have been bd'ing since CD 7 every other day anyway, just in case! Ya never know!!

Chel-C - May 18th, 2008 7:39 PM

CD 20 now, OPK registered today but was not dark enough to be a positive though. I missed testing Friday and Saturday so I am worried that I might have missed it :( I babysat my cousins little girls-9 and 2- over the weekend and completely forgot to test! Hope everyone is doing ok and lots of baby dust to ALL!!!

Teddyfinch - May 19th, 2008 12:51 AM

well bd now just in case you just missed it! lol and if not, then you've caught it just in time.

Chel-C - May 19th, 2008 9:12 AM

I had ordered new OPK tests from babywishes.com and tested with one of them for the first time last night and it registered an almost positive test line. I was a little curious that it might just be because of the different brand- maybe the sensitivity was different from the one I had been using so I tested again with one of my old ones- I had a few left. To my delight it also registered an almost positive. I have never seen two lines on an OPK - faint or dark! So I am very pleased! This morning I tested again and a very faint line showed up , so I am assuming that I caught some part of my surge which means I am still ahead of the O game!!!!! BD last night- then pillow under my behind and legs up the wall for 30 minutes!! :) Oh the things we will do! lol Anyways just wanted to keep ou guys informed and get any input on the OPK's and whether you think my assumptions are correct! Baby Dust to ALL!!!

CF - May 20th, 2008 11:45 AM

I have took the brand name on days 5-9 and had 4 follicles - my body responded well to the drug. i am waiting to see at the end of the week if it worked or not though i feel like i am having period signs. ugh!

CF - May 20th, 2008 11:47 AM

Also i wanted to say. i just joined this forum and i love all the positivity in here! all this stuff starts to really weigh on your mind.

CF - May 20th, 2008 11:50 AM

One last thing - i see a lot of Ovaluation testing talk on this site. My doctor gave me a shot to ensure ovulation at a specific time so that we knew when to try. did anyone else have this shot? it hurts and is in the bum.
