Hi ladies!
Prayin - sounds great so far. Yay for no morning sickness!!
Soready - the first time I took provera, AF came just a few days later. Everytime since then it's taken almost 2 weeks with the same dosage, so I guess it can vary.
I am so anxious for this 2ww to be over for you guys who are "patiently" waiting. :)
As for me, well, I spent 3 hrs with the RE and I REALLY like him. I couldn't believe how much stuff he did during what was supposed to be just a consultation. We started off discussing my medical background, which is pretty extensive - we discussed my having Crohn's and also that I have severe osteopenia. I know that's not a fertility issue but he's done a lot of research with the Amer Board of Obs & Gynec on osteoporosis and I was really pleased with the info he gave me - and said he'd refer me to an Endocrinologist for some tests. Anyway, as for baby news, he did some kind of pap/culture thing because if some weird stuff from my HSG and then did an u/s to look at my ovaries. Wow is about all I can say. There was no question that I definitely have PCOS. My poor ovaries were packed with little bitty follies/cysts. He also asked me some questions about the HSG procedure and I explained to him how dreadfully painful it was and he said he had a good feeling that if he did another HSG that the tube wouldn't be closed. He said if the procedure was done a bit roughly, which is what he suspects, the tube will actually spasm and close. By trying to force more dye in, the radiologist just made it worse. Another possible cause couldve been any residue from my miscarriage. So, he said me may need to do another HSG but that's not for a few months. Anyway, he did loads of bloodwork testing for all kinds of things and is also doing a chromosomal text on both my DH and me. He explained how if there's a problem with our chromosomes matching up or something like that (he had kind of lost me at that point) it can cause miscarriages like mine - no sac, no nothing. But he said there's only a 2-3% chance that could happen. SO, now I just wait. It'll take a couple if weeks to get the results back and depending on what he finds, we'll go from there. But he was pretty sure all I'd need to do is take another dose of Provera and we'll do the Clomid again days 3-7 as well as days 12-22 every other day.
Whew, that was long. So, those are the results of my very long appt this morning. I'm extremely pleased with how the appt went and am looking forward to hearing the results and moving on. You guys were definitely right about seeing an RE! I'm so glad we went.
