ESMY - This is actually my 1st round of clomid. My OB is not a fertility doc so if I need anything like that I am out of luck because we dont have any here. I will be getting a cd14 u/s and the hcg shot though and I am all stocked up on preseed. lol I am glad that you decided to do clomid again this month. Good Luck on your u/s. You might still have some mature follies!

SoReady - July 11th, 2009 2:13 AM

mari - Good for You! You an take you lomid on either of those. It just depends on your prefference. cd5-9 will produce better quality eggs while cd3-7 will produce more eggs. Good Luck!

Jax923 - July 11th, 2009 11:02 AM

Good Morning girls..

I am 7dpiui and am so afraid to test next weekend.

Esmy...as far as symptoms go I can't say if I am making them up in my head but I have had slight cramping yesterday and today, swollen bb's, I woke up this morning and the room was spinning, I've had some fatigue and minor hot flashes. Now lol I don't know if this is just me making myself nuts because I want this so bad or its actually happening or if it's my pms although I've never had pms like this before. Could clomid cause a bad pms? I have no had any implantation bleeding as of yet.

SoReady I am so glad to hear AF came!

Heather good luck on your sono.

Krissy welcome or welcome back whichever lol.

Can you take Clomid for more than 5 days? Will taking it more than 5 days help you ovulate sooner or Later?

ShannonH - July 11th, 2009 3:24 PM

Hey girls, I don't know If you remember me or not. I haven't posted in a long time but I get everyones replies always delivered to my email so I have been keeping up with you girls :)

I just wanted to update on me. I am 20 weeks with Twin boys ! We are all doing really great ! I have an atomy scan on monday. I just started feeling them move everyday now so I am pretty excited ! This will make 4 children for us so we have have to upgrade our vehicle soon !

Just to refresh your memory I got pregnant on my 2nd round of clomid. the first month I took 100mg days 3-7 with the trigger shot but but I messed up with timing my trigger shot, I took it too soon. The second month I took 150mg days 3-7 and got my bfp !

Congrats to all the preggos and good luck to all TTC !

Heathermed20 - July 11th, 2009 10:56 PM

maria, i took clomid 100mg for 7 days per my RE and i o around the same time i normally did but it gave me a good size follie.

mariapaniagua - July 12th, 2009 1:05 AM

Heathermed20- But taking Clomid for 7 days help you ovulate just like taking it for 5 days or better? And if i do take for 7 days when do i start it? I want to be a little more informed so i can decide how much Clomid i should take and how for how many days :-)
Oh and did yiu get a BFP?

Sorry for all the quuestions girls!

This way when AF gets here i can start clomid safely and not feel uninformed.

SoReady - July 12th, 2009 1:40 PM

Hey ladies I am on cd5 and I have taken clomid for 3 days now. KNOCK ON WOOD . . . no s/e. As nice as it is to not have any s/e, it makes me wonder if it is even working. I guess that I have to wait until the 21st when I have my u/s.

Jax923 - July 13th, 2009 11:01 AM

Good Morning girls... just checking in. Welcome back Shannon and congrats on your twins! You must be very excited...no news here just still waiting lol.

AbbyJo_123 - July 13th, 2009 11:46 AM

Good morning ladies!

I tried my best to keep up with everyone from my phone while I was on vacation, but it was kinda difficult.

Heather - I can't wait to hear about your u/s today!

SoReady - My symptoms from Clomid don't usually kick in until the last day or so and they last several days after. So don't worry... I'm sure yours are coming. :) And even if you don't have side effects, it doesn't mean it's not working. My first cycle didn't work and I had terrible hot flashes.

Jax - Only a couple more days! When are you planning to test?

Maria - Welcome!

Shannon - Welcome back! And how exciting - twins!

Keric - Any news on a + OPK? You are going al natural this cycle, right? ...I think so...

Esmy - How was your u/s last week? Any good looking follies?

AFM - WELL... Aside from having an amazing vacation in Hawaii, stupid AF actually arrived Wednesday!! I mean, really?! In the past year that has never happened without taking Provera and what do you know... it happens while I'm on vacation. Nevertheless, I called my RE to see if he could call in my Clomid prescription because Friday would've been CD3. For whatever reason, he said he needed me to come in today so he could do an u/s and then we could discuss the results from all the tests we had done a few weeks ago. That makes me a little nervous because I would think if everything had come back normal, he would've just given me the Clomid. Soooo... DH and I are going in a couple of hours to the appt. I'm not really sure what's going on... today is CD6 so I definitely missed Clomid this cycle. I'll let you guys know what happens.

Happy Monday!

ESMY - July 14th, 2009 7:22 AM

Hi girls...Hope everyone is doing great! Well, I had my CD 15 u/s on Saturday. I went in thinking that the Clomid hadn't really worked bcz I didn't feel anything this time that I took the 150 mg CD 3-7. To my surpise, I had 1 mature follie on my left ovary (I switched this month)that measured 19 mm. My Dr said that he wanted me to do an opk on Saturday night and Sunday morning and if I still didnt have a +opk then I would go in on Sunday at 10:30am for an Hcg trigger shot! Dr wanted to have my follie grow a little bit more before the trigger shot. So I went in and got my Hcg shot on Sunday. On Monday morning I went in for my IUI, but 1st the Dr did an u/s and saw that my follie had grown to 23 mm since Saturday! So thats where Im at in my cycle. I am still going to use the PreSeed for and extra push.

SoReady...Thanx for the encouragement. I really didnt think I was going to have any mature follies. So all you have left is todays last pill, how exciting! I really hope we all get BFP's soon.

AbbyJo...Welcome back. Im really happy that you had fun in Hawaii! I really hope that ur results came back ok so u can get started on the baby making.

Heather...How did ur u/s go? I cant wait to find out how ur baby is doing.

Keric...How is everything going? Have you had the chance to use the PreSeed?

Jax...I know you must be super anxious to test. Ur symptoms sound very promising! When do u plan on testing?

**********************BABY DUST TO ALL*******************

AbbyJo_123 - July 14th, 2009 8:41 AM

Well, my visit with the RE yesterday went pretty well. All our tests from the first appt came back normal - we were the most concerned with our karyotype test. My husband was convinced the doctor was going to tell him he had superhuman powers... needless to say, he was slightly disappointed when he said, no, you're normal. :) He did a follicle scan to see where I'm at and gave me Clomid to start yesterday - which was actually CD6 for me. He said in women who have irregular cycles it doesn't matter when we start Clomid. In women with normal cycles, they have to take Clomid starting before CD5 because if they wait, the dominant follicle will have already been chosen. After the scan, there was "a bagillion little ones on the left and a bagillion little ones on the right." (A direct quote from my RE.) Sooooo... onward with another cycle of Clomid - 100mg days 6-10. Hot flashes, here I come!! haha!

Jax923 - July 14th, 2009 8:54 AM

Good morning girls,

Heather how are you, how was the sono?

Esmy yes I am very anxious and I am going through many mood swings about this. Sometimes I feel like yes it's going to be positive and then there are days where i feel it didnt work and I am just down. The dr. had told me when I went for my IUI that if I didnt get AF by friday I should go in and have a preg. test BUT I think I am going to give it till over the weekend and if nothing by Monday I will go in. I may break down and take a pregnancy test Friday. I'm just dresding that negative result. I am so happy you did another cycle and have a large follie... I have a good feeling for you this cycle.

Abby thats great news! Good luck!

SoReady how are you doing?

keric200 - July 14th, 2009 9:39 AM

Good Morning Ladies!

Jax...it sounds like you have some very promising symptoms! Hopefully they are the ones we all want! ;) and you will get your BFP very soon!

Abby...Glad to hear you had a good vacation...Hawaii I'm sure is beautiful and relaxing. Hopefully this round of clomid will be just the ticket!

Heather...how did your us go? I'm sure super exciting!

Esmy...I hope everything goes well with your IUI and you get your BFP...keep us posted of course!

As for me it's cd 21 and still no +opk :( I haven't used the preseed yet as I was hoping to get an +opk first...but doesn't seem like that's gonna happen which is really weird because I have never not ovulated?? So it's all just a guessing game for me at this point.

Hope everyone else is doing well!
