mischeif - 50mg is the lowest dosage that dr rx. Taking 25mg may not have any affect on you. My OB old me that there is only a 6% chance of conceiving twins using clomid and less then 1% chance for higher order multiples. The dosage that women take range from 50-200mg depending on their past medical history.

Haveboxer, the progesterone cream is supposed to be rubbed into places where the skin is thinner: inner arms, chest - above the breasts, neck, face, inner thighs, buttocks, abdomen. You can probably find some on ebay, but I would google the brand and check to see if it has at least 450mg of natural USP progesterone per ounce. If it does, then a 1/2 tsp twice a daily is approx. 40mg each dose, which would be equal to a 200mg dose of rx oral progesterone. Good luck.

Mischiefmom, welcome. And I agree with soReady, I don't think a 25mg dose will do much of anything. I'd go for the 50mg days 3-7. I have a friend with twins from 50mg and a friend with triplets from 50mg. But I also have a few friends who still cannot conceive with clomid, or just conceived one. It's rather varied. Good luck.

wishful.thinking, I took a test this morning and got a BFN. I'm not going to allow myself to be disappointed though because it is only 10dpo. AF is due between 06/04 and 06/10 (my cycle varies). Rather than continuoulsy testing, I will test again on the 4th if AF doesn't show. Will update more when I have one :)

Thank you all for the advise. I think I will try 50mg. I guess that means I need to get more, I only have enough for this month. I doubt with my history it will happen on the first month. Will only try for 3 months with clomid then take a break for a few months.

Trying4twins I wish you all the luck. I know how trying it is to keep getting a negitive every month. Sounds like alot of people on here do too, so know you have people to talk too.

cd 15 with a - opk. i've been testing consistently 1st thing in the morning. but i think i'm going to test again this afternoon.

no feeling of anything...except maybe feeling like i might get sick or the flu. ugh.

haveboxer - OPK's are not like HPT, you shouldnt take them first thing in the morning because the hcg is diluted. Try taking your OPK's a couple of hours after you get up in the morning or in early afternoon. Have you been testing in the evenings too? I hope that you haven't missed your O.

I am getting a little confused. I don't know what all the abverations mean. I know OPK, and HPT. CD mean cycle date? What about BFN, DPO, and AF? I think those were the only ones. Thanks in advance for helping me out it will make it so much easier to understand the posts lol.

BFN - Big Fat Negative (when taking an HPT)
DPO - Days past Ovulation
AF - Aunt Flow (we all hate her)

MischeifMom - Welcome to the group!!! Good Luck with taking the clomid and I agree with the other ladies 25mg isn't going to do anything for you. I think 50mg will give you a better shot. Where did you get your clomid from and how long did it take for you to get it. One more thing BFN can also stand for Big Fat Negative (when using your opk test) Please keep us updated. haveboxerwantbaby - You shouldn't be using your first morning urine when you are testing with your opk test strip. You only use first morning urine when you are taking your hpt. I always use my opk around 11:30am - 1:30pm but my box always say the best time to test is 10am - 8pm. I hope this information help you out. Krissy68

thank you for the feedback everyone. from what i understand and gotten from the convos here, clomid delays ovulation? i typically ovulate [meaning i get a + opk] on day 21 or 22.

i just started testing early jic and because a lot of websites say that we should start testing 5 days afters the last pill in the clomid cycle.

i'll start testing after lunch and see how that works out. i guess i have to go out and buy another box!

Okay...I need some advice PLEASE. I'm on CD 27 and just got a BFP!!! That's what I thought, until I read that ovarian cysts could give you a false positive. I called the manufacturer and verified that with them. Here's the thing. I don't know if I have ovarian cysts (since I took clomid u/p, so I haven't seen an u/s of my ovaries). I just know that my cramping for about 4 days around O was terrible. And now I still have cramps but they're much more mild. Has anyone experienced this? I don't know what to think of my BFP -- and I'm going to hate it if it's really negative but possible cysts are giving me false hope. Do you think I have cysts? Also, in previous pregnancies I have felt quite nauseas already by this point, and usually start vomitting within about 10 days from now...but I feel pretty good this time. A little bit of a quesy stomache now and then, or a smell that turns me off, but I can usually ignore it and tell myself it's in my head. I don't know what to think. HELP???

I never thought I would be so happy to have AP arrive! As you all remember this is our first month to try so it is not disappointing this month. So I am on CD 1 and I am anxious about taking clomid. Not nervous, I am fine and feel comforatable with what I am doing but anxious for the outcome. Anxious to see if I am pregnant in a month from now. All those wonderful feelings. So Thursday I will start taking the clomid!

Wishful....CONGRATS! I am saying that because I think you are pregnant, not ovian cysts. To let you know I went in once because I thought I was pregnant and they did a test and it was negitive, I then found out I had 2 large cysts. So not always does it come up positive on a pregnancy test either. Also the second time I had cysts I felt more like I had a kidney infection then being pregnant. Most importantly I never had sore breasts either time! So I think it is safe to say you are pregnant. But to be sure make an appointment with your OB and tell them you are having some mild cramping that conserns you, they will hurry and get you in and do some more tests to put you at ease. You will then know for sure! Godd luck!

Mischeifmom, what cycle days are you planning to take your clomid? And do you have enough 50mg doses for 5 days? I took it from days 2-8 (7 days, not 5) that's why I was concerned about cysts. I'm not recommending it, but it just might have worked. Thanks so much for all of your helpful feedback on cysts. I got a little worried when you said it felt like a kidney infection, because I kept telling my husband, "It almost feels more like a kidney pain than an ovary pain." What do you think? I'm feeling lucky for you this month.

Krissy, thanks for your pep talk. I'm expecting AF on the 6th. I think I'll re-test then. My theory is that if I'm actually pregnant the line will be much darker, if it's lighter in 4 days, then I'll know it was cysts. Do you think this theory holds water? Happy Birthday.
