Krissy - Happy Birthday!

MischeifMom - June 3rd, 2009 2:30 PM

Wishful...I plan on taking it cd 3-7. I have 10 25mg pills so I do have enough for this 5 days. I cant remember where I got these from online so I am trying to find another place to get them. Will be upsetting if I spend the money at the clomid works first month but I dont want to wait and then not have it next month if it doesnt. I actually would love to take it 2-8 like you did but don't have the pills for it. Have you made the appointment with your OB yet? Keep us up to date.

lisajanelle - June 3rd, 2009 6:08 PM

mischeifmom - a couple of people have psoted really reasonably priced sites to get the clomid. one was pharmacyave dot com, and i think the other was tristatedrugs dot com. both had 50 mg for very reasonable.

MischeifMom - June 3rd, 2009 7:21 PM

Yes you were correct on the sites. Both sites charge for 30, 50mg pills 22.99. Then shipping for the first site listed above is $10 for 10-20 day delivery and $24.70 for 7-15 day delivery. The second site listed shipping was $15 for 10-20 days and the same for 7-15. Hope this helps all for future reference.

wishful.thinking - June 3rd, 2009 11:45 PM

Thanks for the advice lisajanelle. I know I've seen you posting on other threads, but I can't remember your story. We'd love to hear if you're taking clomid as well.

Mischeifmom, good luck with the clomid 3-7. I hope you get your multiples. What cd are you now, 3 or something?

MischeifMom - June 4th, 2009 12:48 AM

I am only on CD 2, thursday is my cd 3 and I will start taking clomid. I was told that I should take it at night because the effects are less when you do it that way.
When is your doctors apt?

trying4twins2 - June 4th, 2009 2:43 PM

AF showed today I kind of knew it would when I got a negative test this morning. So I have decided to do 150 mg of clomid cd 2-7 then 100mg cd 8. Hopefully that will work...this is my last shot. I'm not buying anymore. Wish me luck ladies day.

Krissy68 - June 4th, 2009 7:42 PM

haveboxerwantbaby - Thank you for the birthday wish. I didn't do anything special it was just another day.

wishful.thinking - You are so welcome and I will always be there for you. Okay AF is due in 2 days how are you feeling so are you telling me I have to wait the 2 days before you will re-test no fair (j/k) You are right the line should be darker. Thank you for the birthday wish.

SoReady - Thank you for the birthday wish. Krissy68

wishful - i am not currently taking clomid or even ttc yet. i need to make a decision pretty quick though! if i try it will be this fall so i can hopefully get a spring baby (or two!) there are a couple of obstacles i need to overcome first - my fear of being pregnant again after having delivered my twins at 23 weeks (in 2003) and one being stillborn. and also our insurance doesn't cover maternity, so i need to find a way to cover a delivery. it is so nice having a forum where we can "meet" other women who share similar views and goals and not having to explain or justify ourselves. and seeing the success stories gives us hope! i have never had problems conceiving, but i am 7 years older now than i was when i last got preg so who knows. for me the clomid would just be to enhance the possibility of twins, not really for help getting pregnant in general. since there is such a large gap between my 6 year old and 9 year old and a "future" sibling it would be nice to have twins so that they would have each other to play with as it would for sure be my last pregnancy. after recovering from a heart attack when finding out another baby is on the way my hubby would probably run for the nearest dr to perform a vasectomy! lol! sorry suh a long post... good luck to all!! :)

MischeifMom - June 4th, 2009 10:58 PM

trying...I am so sorry. I hope this time works for you. Know we are all here for the same reason and we are here for you. My prayers will be with you.

I am on cd 3 and took my first pills today. Man are theyy nasty tasting!!!!! The things we do to have kids! I have a question for you all. This period is extremly light. I am only on day 3 and it is already looking like I might stop 2morrow, where it is usually 5-7 days. It has been light from the very begining. You all think that will effect me getting pregnant? Let me know what you think. Take care and talk to you all soon.

wishful.thinking - June 4th, 2009 11:56 PM

MisheifMom, I don't know about your AF being light -- I wish I did. I know that once I started the clomid my period nearly stopped. They're usually 12 days long, but with clomid it was only 5. I'm so hopeful for you. Did you order more clomid just in case? I hate to say that, I'm sure it will work this time.

lisajanelle, I can see why you're worried with your last set of twins, and I'm so sorry for your loss. As far as maternity insurance, in the past we've purchased supplemental hospital insurance for just the mother. It was like $200/month and you get back about $4,500 for vaginal delivery and $6,500 for c-section. You have to get on the plan 10 months before you deliver. So if you're having twins and they might come early, take that into account, because if you deliver before the 10 months of having coverage you get nothing. Try Aflac, Conseco, Fortis, Ameritus, etc. You might combine two together like we did. Then that amount is payed to you after delivery and you can use it to pay your out of pocket stuff that your insurance won't cover. Good luck.

wishful.thinking - June 5th, 2009 12:05 AM

Trying4twins, I'm so sorry. What a bummer. If I remember right, you got a positive OPK test this month? So you O'd, maybe you just didn't BD enough. We did it every day from 14 to 19 (my + OPK was from 15-18). We only BDed at night with my bum on a pillow, so that nothing could drip out. I kept my bum up for an hour before removing the pillow and going to sleep. I bet your upped dose of clomid this month will certainly give you multiples. I hope so.

Krissy, I'm glad you had a nice birthday. I did take another test and it was positive!!! And the nausea is already my constant companion, so if I do have cysts, it sounds like they're in there with a baby or two. I tried to schedule my Dr. appt today, but after all my errands, they were closed. I'll call tomorrow. I've also hesitated to call, because I'm trying to concoct a story for why I need an ultrasound with my first visit (when the real reason is that I want to see how many are in there). Baby dust to all.

SoReady - June 5th, 2009 3:09 AM

wishful - You are really early in your pregnancy so even if they do an u/s, you wont be able to tell if there is 1 or more. Your best shot is to wait to have the u/s at the earliest 7 weeks. When you do get your u/s just tell them that you want one because you would feel better if they did an u/s.

MischeifMom - June 5th, 2009 10:23 AM

Wishful, I was looking online at ultrasounds for twin pregnancy and there are MANY people who had ultra sounds at 4 weeks. My cousin had twins and she found out at 3 weeks. She went in to get on an IUD and found out she was pregnant with twins instead! So it is very possible to find out early. As far as a way to get your doctor to do an ultrasound I have no clue. Maybe just do what SoReady said. Good luck and keep us updated.
Baby Dust to all!

haveboxerwantbaby - June 5th, 2009 6:04 PM

hi ladies,

it's cd 19, i got a + opk today. i'm feeling a little cramp-ish. we started bd-ing on wednesday [no bd yesterday] and will bd today through monday. of course, the timing is such that my inlaws are coming for a visit starting on sunday. sigh.

didn't get a chance to get a hold of the progest cream [still need to check the walmarts around us], but we'll just give it a shot. i'm not terribly optimistic - only because i'm trying not to get my hopes up too much, but i'll definitely give it my all!

hope you all are well!

Krissy68 - June 5th, 2009 8:04 PM

wishful.thinking - Congratulation!!!!!! I'm so very happy for you. How are you feeling? I'm not really sure what you could tell the doctor. The only thing I can think of is to tell him that you are in a lot of pain in your belly and see what he say. Good Luck and please keep us posted and let us know when you have your doctor's appointment. Have a nice weekend and take care of yourself.

haveboxerwantbaby - I am so happy the you finally got your bfp on the opk now you already know what to do. Have a time weekend and take care and I will see you on Monday. Krissy68
