Luckynanu~~ Yes, I experienced that on CD11...didn't O till CD 17 though. The sharp pains are normal too. I bet you'll conceive this month. The same thing happened on my last conception with my twins.

I got a BFP yesterday this time on 7 DPO!!

Good luck and baby dust to you!

SoReady - March 25th, 2009 7:14 PM

Congrats LindaS! I hope that all goes well.

luckynanu - March 27th, 2009 1:49 PM

thanks LindaS, hope the lab test turns out according to your expectqations. BEST OF LUCK.

I had my O yesterday (CD13) extremely painful didn't BD cause of the pain, the last time i BD was cd 11, have i got any chance of conceiving? or should i try to bd today

LindaS - March 27th, 2009 2:01 PM

You are welcome Luckynanu :)

Yes, bd today(as early as possible). You have a great chance at conceiving this month even if you did not bd at the precise moment of O(based on pains and such). You're still in the running to catch that egg(eggs).

luckynanu - March 27th, 2009 2:29 PM

i'll try and get

twinswanted2009 - April 1st, 2009 5:11 AM

hi everyone new to all this, just wanted to ask what time of the day do i take my clomid also if i get preg on clomid will the doc be able to tell that i tuck clomid as i ve got it off internet as i o normally and have 28 cycle but just taking it for one month to see if i can get preg with twins, pls help

luckynanu - April 1st, 2009 5:20 AM

Twinswanted2009, according to my research on the internet, it is best to take clomid before bed time in order to minimise the effect during the day. am not sure if your doctor will be able to detect that you took clomid if you get pregnant.

i am exactly like you with 28days regular cycle, bought clomid off internet and this is my first cycle.

however, i am having some unconfortable pelvic pain for about a week now and am not sure if i should see my doctor and what will be his reaction to this.

Has anyone experienced this pain?
what did you do and how long did it take to go.
please post you advised i need help

Krissy68 - April 1st, 2009 7:32 PM

luckynanu - Welcome to the group. No I really don't think your doctor will be able to tell if you took clomid unless you told him. You could be having ovulation pain. Good Luck to you and let us know. Krissy

Hi all!
It's refreshing to see so many posts, so little judgment.

I have two little girls but want to add to that, with one more shot, and I want it to be multiples. I ovulate normally and get pregnant very easily. I ordered Clomid and took the highest dose I could find info for from the FDA, 250mg. I took this from days 3-7 of my period cycle. I had an ovulation test strip show positive 10 days ago, I'd normally be due for my period (im pretty regular) on Friday. Not sure how soon a pregnancy test will show positive and not sure how soon I'll know if I'm carrying multiples, but I'm guessing rather early on as I have had several miscarriages in the past and am labeled as "high risk".

I look forward to hearing success stories!

unconventional - i have a couple of questions if you don't mind... where did you order your clomid from? and how were the side effects on such a high dose? i am thinking of taking u/p clomid this fall to try for twins (i actually had id twin girls in 2003, but they had ttts and arrived at 23 weeks, one of my little ones was stillborn, thankfully my survivor is normal and healthy). i am fertile as far as i know - both of my pregnancies were unplanned on birth control (condom the first time and bcp the second with the twins) so i don't think a dr would give me an rx. hoping to find a reputable place to order form, or possibly to find someone with leftover clomid they would be willing to sell. don't want my hubby seeing any strange charges on the cc! ;) anyway - good luck to you!

Hi Lisa! I'm so so sorry for your loss!

Yes, I ordered from (cant post urls so let's try this cleverly) Take the first letter of ever word I post and it is biz not com Elephant Dianne Harry Elephant Lisa Pear. Their prices were very affordable. It also showed on my paypal statement as RECUSTOMER and then a 1-800 # to contact them. They had the 50mg tablets available when I ordered, now it seems they have 25mg and 100mg. Also, on the higher dose, no, I didn't notice any of the hot flashes or mood swings, but I also took mine directly before bed then had some soothing camomile tea and burned a lavender candle before going to sleep. I am sure, so no one lectures (so happy I haven't seen many of those here!) that you know the chances at higher doses of less lining to attach to and more hostile cervical mucus, but I also believe this becomes worse over repeated months of high doses. Also, the chance for hyper stimulation or fluid on ovaries (not preaching at all, I bet you know these things, I did before I risked it!)

I am sure some will think me totally crazy, but I am praying and wishing for triplets and I have no idea if at this point (3 days til period due) if I'd feel any different with multiples than with one or not.

Please keep me updated, I really wish more people would chime in because I am sure there are THOUSANDS of ladies in our same boat. Also, if you want to chat more, I'm on yahoooooooo!!!! at w00tw00tgal (those are zero's)

I have read that if you ovulate normally, Clomid does not make you ovulate more. Some Dr Amid or some name of that sort said that on a forum where people would post questions to him. That doesn't sound scientifically correct, I mean, whether you ovulate or not, Clomid makes the brain think you need more, so regardless, it should produce more. I would assume your chances for multiples are MUCH higher if you are normal in ovulating AND take Clomid, not the standard Clomid chance of multiples.

Any ideas/feedback on this?

((Hugs))) to you and luck!

thanks unconventional... i don't think i would take 250 mg. in fact the highest i would go is 100mg, i am trying to decide a)if i should do it b) if i should take 75 or 100 mg. i don't want to be the next octomom! :) i need to decide by the end of summer as if i do try it will be in the fall. i really hope for twins again. triplets i think i could deal with but i woulod be terrified if there were more than that - although the chance of more than one at all isn't really all that high. hoping since i o normally and have conceived twins before maybe my chance will be a bit higher! well, off to take the kiddos to the park!

SoReady - June 3rd, 2009 4:42 PM

Hi ladies How are yall doing?

unconventional - Have you taken a HPT yet? I have heard that when you take a higher does it actually decreases your chances of getting prego. I will be starting clomid at the end of this month and I will be doing it in a little bit of an unconventional way as well. I have rx and u/p clomid that I will be taking 100mg from days 3-8. My OB wants me to take them from 5-9 but I know that more eggs will form during 3-7. Day 8 is just an added bonus to help them mature. CD3-7 tend to produce more eggs but they usually are not as matured. On cd14 my Ob will give me an u/s to check how many eggs I have and how matured they are. I am so excited because the u/s will give me a good idea if twins are a possibility. If I only have 1 egg I will know that the possibility is very slim. I cant wait until the end of this month to get started!
