unconventional - I'm sorry about AF. Thinking about you. Krissy68

Thank you all for your kind words :)

I want to give the cysts time to resolve which at max, I am told should be 3 months and then one month extra just for extra good measure :) Plus, I am making sure to take a daily multi vitamin and I've added in folic acid. I have read where one African nation has a high percentage of twins and scientists attribute it to high consumption of yams/sweet potatoes! So I think I may even take some of that extract, it certainly won't hurt! And how exciting to have a positive pregnancy test right at Christmas! I'm looking at this as a GOOD thing.

How is everyone else doing?

((Hugs)) to all!

unconventional - Good Luck and keep us posted. I'm just hanging out waiting until Saturday cd 10 so I can start using the opk test strip. I have already started bding since cd 5 and today is cd 8 and my temp are starting to go some so I guess this is all good. If I don't talk to you tomorrow have a GREAT weekend. Krissy68

SoReady - June 19th, 2009 2:04 PM

unconventional - The sweet potatoes that you are referring to is region specific. Regular yams/sweet potatoes that you find at the store are not going to do you any good. Also, that tribe in Africa that has all the twins, their main diet consists of those wild yams, so if you could get your hands on some of them, then I think that you would have to eat mainly the yams for a while. Before I found clomid I was doing as much research as I could on natural methods to conceive twins, and I read somewhere that there is a site online that sells these wild yams but I was never able to locate it. Maybe you can find it and let us know.

I have also read a ot of good things about the fertility recipe that Krissy is taking so maybe give that a try. Rasberry Leaf tea is suppose to help as well.

SoReady - Do you know if you will feel ovualtion pain like you would when you take clomid? Cause that is what I am starting to feel right about now. I'm thinking it might be a little early but who knows. I will start using the opk test strip tomorrow around 2pm. I will let you know. I didn't bd last night and I might not bd tonight. Have a great weekend. Krissy68

Krissy, PLEASE keep me posted! I'm so excited to know! I have an e-mail on yahooooooooooo and it's w00tw00tgal and those are zero's if you want to be e-mail buddies (if you're okay with that).

I understand folic acid MAY help increase odds of twins? There's some debate on the issue, either way, I have been taking that bc it's great to take pre- and during pregnancy and of course, a multi-vitamin.

So excited for us all! I'd be thrilled even with one, which I'm sure would be no problem conceiving (knock wood!) but OH! I'd love twins! (triplets would be my limit..I'd even LOVE that and I have NO romantacized ideas of being a multiple parent..it's just in my heart!

Love and babydust to all!!!

SoReady - June 25th, 2009 4:09 AM

Krissy - I dont know because I havent taked it before but I would think that O pain is a good sign. So have you gotten a +OPK?

unconventional - I know the feeling. I have had dreams about twins in the past and now it is all I can think about.

Just wondering if there are any Canadians that have ordered Clomid from other countries? I ordered mine about 3 weeks ago and Canada Posts tracking says it has arrived in Canada but is waiting for Customs inspection. Is it harder to get prescritption into Canada? because it sounds like States are a lot more laid back. Would love to hear some feedback from fellow Canucks. Hope My package makes it through okay.

Krissy68 - June 29th, 2009 7:41 PM

Solero81 - I'm sorry I can't help you with this but I hope you hurry up and get your clomid and it is all there and no damage done. Let us know when you get it. Krissy68

mustbecrazy - August 12th, 2009 5:50 PM

I know it has been over a month since anyone has written to this thread - but I was wondering if any of you are still out there? I would love to hear how everyone is doing and where you are all at with everything? I used clomid for the first time last month. i had HORRIBLE cramping for 6 days - and a little bit of headache - but other than that nothing. I had a +ovu test strip on Friday so figure I ovulated this weekend sometime. So - here is the kicker - I ordered clomid w/o fertility probs b/c I am breastfeeding and needed to get my cycle started. Really this is my ONLY chance to get preggo since my hubby had a vasectomy July 10th and "possibilities" are running out. i know - I know - I shouldn't be trying to go behind my hubby's back - but I just have these feelings about wanting another babe (or two if I was so blessed). So - I have always registered as preggo within 6-8 dpo using the early pregnancy test stips - which would be the end of this week or the beginning of the next. Am I totally nuts??? Why do I so badly not want to end the baby cycle?? Especially since I REALLY hate being pregnant - but am IN LOVE with the end result?? Ok girls - let me have it!!

twin_desire - August 18th, 2009 8:04 PM

hi mustbecrazy, so if your husband had a vasectomy on july 10th then how will you get preggers? has your period shown up yet? good luck with it though, as if i read your post correctly it is your last shot right?

ShannonH - August 19th, 2009 3:58 PM

I will share my story with you ladies, as I was where you are for so long. Looking for ACTUAL stories of women who conceived twins on clomid.

I have always been a very fertile person. If I wanted to get pregnant, then I got pregnant. lol ( this is why I though we had a really good chance for twins on clomid ) We started TTC when my 2nd child was 13 months old but my periods hadn't started yet due to breasfeeding. So I used progesterone cream to bring on AF and it worked. The first month I took 100mg on days 3-7. I also got an HCG trigger shot from freegaragesale to help me ovulate my mature follies. Well I screwed up my timing and took it too soon. ( I was going to trigger when my OPK was positive but instead I triggered when I thought it was getting close because I didn't want my follies to get too big to ovulate. ) but like I said I did it too soon and AF came 6 days later ( way too soon ) so that cycled I totally messed up. So I started clomid again but this time I decided to do 150mg days 3-7. Surprisingly I had LESS side effects on the higher dose. So anyway when I got my positive OPK we did it as many time as we could and I used the instead cup after we BDed at night. I started baby asprin as well but I can't even remember if I took it my whole cycle or after O. Then 1-2dpo I started using progesterone cream. As well as taking my pre-natals all the time. I took evening primrose oil and mucinex up until ovulation as well. I got my BFP at 10dpo. Same as when I got my BFP with my last baby. all my symptoms were so mild, milder than any of my other pregnancies. Except being really tired. I didn't even get to the dr until 13 weeks because of insurance issues. So when I did see my OB I kinda fibbed on my dates and said I was unsure so she would give me a dating ultrasound and she scheduled one for 14 weeks. I went in and low and behold there were 2 babies !! LOL I was honestly in complete and utter shock that I actually tried for twins and GOT them ! I really couldn't believe it ! lol I am 26 weeks with Twin boys and due in November. I will see if I can post my Fertility friend chart because it is a lot more detailed and I don't remember a lot of it. Good luck !!

Krissy68 - August 19th, 2009 7:25 PM

ShannonH - Hey girlfriend I haven't talk to you in forever and yes I am still ttcing. How are you feeling and doing? Rub your belly for me. Congratulation on having twin boys your due date is just around the corner. Do you have any names picked out? Let me feel you in on what is going on with me. Not sure if you remember that I did go to fertility doctor back in March and he wanted me to do IVF because of my age and wouldn't even give me clomid. Anyway I thought my insurance would cover 100% and all I would have to do is pay the $100 copay well I was wrong I misunderstood the financial coordinator. I have to have the laparocospy with the hysterscopry to fixed the left blocked tube which I knew I had from the last HSG I had done and to clear out all the scar tissue. In my heart I really think that is all I need to have done then I can get pg. I know I will never every in this lifetime be able to afford IVF so I told the doctor I wanted to do IUI so that is why I have to have that procedure done first. Anyway my insurance will only cover 50% and my copay is $1,175.00 so of course I was down and out. The financial coordinator said I could make payments so I was a little happy about that but of course things kept coming up so I was at a stand still since I think about April. Well the kids started school last Wednesday and I had already got them some school clothes so I had an extra $100 that I was going to spend on them but then I thought oh no I am not I am going to start doing something for me. I sent in the $100 last week and now all I need is $650.00 so I can see the light at the end of the tunnel and I was real happy and proud of myself last week and I also made myself a promise that starting this Friday I would at least send in $50 every 2 weeks until it is paid well I get a email today from the coordinator to tell me she received my payment and that she will have to request a new authorization from the insurance company because it is only good for 90 days and it expired in June then she said once I get my balance down to $300.00 to let her know because she might be able to lower the cost of the anethesia from $525.00 to $350.00 so now you know I am jumping up and down so my new balance is going to be $475.00 as of today. I am so happy and I know I can come up with this money I am now hoping to have it done before the holiday hits. My ex always send me money every month for the girls so I will use some of that it is not like they will miss it. I know I can only have the surgery done between cd6-12. I will keep you updated on that.

Also I have a question for you. I decided not to take anything this month because last month I took u/p clomid one of the ladies had because she is currently 6 months pg and she didn't need it. Anyway it didn't work. I am only doing my temp and I always use opk test and I start testing on either cd10 or 11 well I started testing Monday cd10 and it was a bfp so on cd11 it was another bfp and my temp was 97.90 so today cd 12 I got a bfn and my temp went up to 98.04. I have never every as long as I can remember had a positive opk on cd10 what do you think of this. I started bd'ed so far on cd8-12. Also when you get a chance can you email me privately. Krissy68
