Just wondering typically how many weeks early people who have already had a multiple birth went? I am due 2/27 with fraternal twins, but everyone keeps telling me to be prepared at the beginning of Feb. Just curious as to when other people delivered!. Thanks!

I went 37w6d...average is 36 weeks. Another board I am on had many ladies go to 37 weeks plus.

forgot to say that it also depends if your twins share a placenta and or sac. If you follow a diet high in protein and drink the gallon of water they recommend you really can increase the odds of going full term barring any other problems.

I was due October 3rd and had them Sept. 20th (13 days early) and it was because I requested an induction. I was so miserable physically, but they were very healthy and were 6 lb. 4 oz. and 7 lb.. Good luck with your twinsies!

38 weeks here

Basically, the medical community consider full term for twins to be 36 weeks and triplets at 32 weeks. (Apparently the formula is subtract 4 weeks for each additional baby.) Some doctors don't like you to go past 37 weeks as there are indications of placental breakdown after this point, similiar to going past 40 weeks with a singleton. So your advice is right on, on average you could expect to deliver early Feb and have healthy babies with little or no NICU time.
