Hello, this is my fifth month on Clomid and I am still not pregnant. I have one more month left and then the doctor will suggest other options, but regardless Clomid is my only option because of religious reasons.
I just want to know how many people who used Clomid and if failed. I didn't ovulate on the 50mg, but on the 100mg I ovulated for two months on day 18 and the fourth month I did not ovulate with the 100mg. My doctor didn't want to increase my dosage so I just have to wait and see what happens.

Hi Mrs M. I did clomid for a full year and nothing. I started seeing a fertility doctor and he gave me follacile (I think that's how its spelled but it's shots.) I loved the shots/injectables much more than clomid (I was kind of a basket case on clomid.) 2 months on the shots and I found out 4 weeks ago that I'm pregnant and today was my first ultrasound and twins!

Hey usmcwife thanks for the reply. I will do more research on the follacile. I am on cycle five and my last cycle will be the next if I don't get pregnant. So I still have two months of hope left to concieve.
Congratulations on the twins you are so lucky.

It's actually follistim. It's a shot you give yourself in the stomach for 5 days instead of using clomid. I looked at a couple other forums and several women have said they had luck too on follistim. I would definitely ask your doctor for that. I know several people that have used clomid and no luck.
Good luck to you!! I tried for 2 1/2 years before it worked. It will happen! :)

Thanks usmcwife, I will be seeing my OBGYN the end of the month and I will ask him about that option, because he's never mentioned it to me before.

Ask about Femara, it is like Clomid, but for some people it works better. It has less side effects too. My Doctor will not do more than 3 months of Clomid without a break because it thins the uterine lining. If Clomid doesn't work in that time, you have the option of switching to Femara. I got pg on the Femara.

Thanks K, I wonder how come my doctor didn't tell me all of these other options. He just said to me if Clomid fails that we will do the IUI, then IVF, etc.
