i took clmod for 4 cycles and had no side effects at all...i started with 50mg days 2-6 and my very first round was purely to see if i had any adverse effects to it....when i didnt i was confidant to ttc in the second round..this was my first round as with 50mg nothing seemed to happen...at 100mg days 5-9 i could feel O very strongly..so i knew that does of clomid actually did something for me...each time i made sure if i had any pain or adverse effects i would stop and seek mediacal advice immediately....
i have heaps of info on he topic and am signed up in clomid forums across the net....sharing and learnign about my experience..i researched for at least a year before i cam to actually make the step of trying it....i also made sure i held responsibiltiy in case of any mishaps and if as they say my children were to be affected by it adverely..birth defects and all i would have dealt with that and it would be my responsibilty...to care and hold theblame but i didnt do this with such negative thoughts in my heads so always prayed and went into it with a confidant mind...don't go down this route if you have doubts i hardly had any....good luck!!!

AnnaG - I am in the EXACT same situation as you are. It was SO nice to see someone else struggling with this decision. I too have had 2 c-sections and I have no option of having a VBAC (I have VERY big babies, thanks to my husband!). We have discussed trying clomid to increase our chance of having twins. We love children, and if I could have them "normally" we'd probably have a house-full. It is sad that people would judge you. I know exactly how you're feeling. I think if people want to give advice, great, but to be mean is just wasting time and energy, and it doesn't help anyone. In fact it makes you NOT want to listen to their suggestions. I have been doing research on Clomid for a few weeks now and have seen that people who take it on days 5 to 9 get pregnant with multiples more often. Also, I am going to start with 50 mg. If you ovulate normally, you don't want to over stimulate your ovaries. Let me know how this works for you! I am going to start when my husband returns from Kuwait next year. The other reason for us trying Clomid, is because my husband will only be home for a year. If I can't get pregnant RIGHT when he comes back, I will be alone when having the baby(ies)! GOOD LUCK!

hi i was wonderind how much clomid pills do u take a day?

SoReady - June 12th, 2009 11:40 AM

saba - Dr's usually only rx 50mg cd5-9 for the first round and then they up the dosage a little every month if conception doesnt happen. The highest dose that they wil rx is 250mg but the higher you go the higher risk you have of hyperovulation and cysts, I have heard that these are painful.

hey ladies I just wanted to give a update. AF found me yesterday at 3am and she showed up 5 days early. I am currently on cd 2 and I have decide to try the Vitex/B6 Fertility Recipe. Have anyone heard of this? I will let you know how it turns out for me. I hope you all have a very nice weekend. Krissy68
