I Took UNPRESCRIBED 100mg Of Clomid And PG With Triplets!!!

That is one of my issues as well.. by advertising the unprescribed part, you may be giving people ideas. People may purchase this or other drugs from proven less-then-reputable companies and really do themselves or their children some serious damage. People need to take some responsability here. |

How can you be 9 months pg if you were 6 weeks on Aug 30? Please tell me this was all made up. |

who are you talking about? |

For i don't get it: I don't think it said she was 9 months pg, she said she "looked" like she was 9 months pg. |

Yes, "onemoretripletmom" that is my major concern here. Why aren't they listening? I know if it was me, and someone showed me how I was risking MY future child/ren.... I sure as hell wouldn't keep going! |

"mama-beans" and "onemoretripletmom", I think that the reason why no one is listening is because we are dealing w/selfish, self-absorbed women who just are in need of attention. It is unfortunate that they are willing to create and risk lives of sweet, innocent little HELPLESS babies to receive this attention. |

I'm a mother of 2 singletons and triplets. My triplets were conceived spontaneously and it just blows me away that there are women out there that would CHOOSE to purposely try to get pg with multiples by taking clomid unprescribed. My triplets are such a blessing, but they were born at 30 weeks (the average gestation for trips), 2 have cerebral palsy, and I spent 4 weeks in the hospital in pre-term labor (not fun!). Although I feel completely blessed to have triplets, it's not something I would never try to play God and increase my chances of having multiples. Let God be the one to decide to give you multiples or not... and I'm not talking about the ladies out there who struggle with infertility and take Clomid PRESCRIBED or go through IVF, IUI, etc. I'm talking to those of you who don't even have fertility problems and yet for your own selfish reasons are taking drugs (illegally) in hopes of getting pg with twins or more. Come on! Grow up, wake up, and smell the coffee! Yes, multiples are a miracle and can bring so much joy (as ALL children do!), but unfortunately they also come along with a lot of hard WORK and higher chance of disabilities due to being born prematurely. With 2 of my triplets having special needs, I could never forgive myself if I had chosen to purposely get pg with them by taking clomid unprescribed. At least those of us with multiples who conceived spontaneously or via fertility drugs/treatments (prescribed and monitored of course!) can have a peace of mind when/if our multiples suffer any long term effects of being premature, at least we didn't try to play "God" and we did it the "right" and "legal" way. |

IF WE ARE STUPID THEN LET ME TELL YOU YOUR ALL IGNORANT AND STUPID...CLOMID INCREASES MATURE EGG PRODUCTION...IT DOES NOT AND I REPAEAT CUASE BIRT DEFECTS...IF IT DOES DO ANYTHING THATS HIGHLY RISKY CONCERNING THE BABIES (NOT THE MOTHER) IS THAT IT CAN CAUSE EARLY MC!!! LATER MC'S CAN BE CAUSED NATURALLY OR UNNATURALLY...CLOMID DOES ITS JOB THE FIRST 5 DAYS 'BEFORE CONCEPTION' AND THATS THAT!!!IT DOESNT LINGER IN YOUR BODY AND CAUSES BIRTH DEFECTS AND ALL THE OTHER PLAVA YOU MIGHT BE HAPPY TO SPECULATE ABOUT. IT DOESNTDO ANYTHING TO THE ACTUAL BABIES. IT IS THE WOMAN'S OWN BODY THAT CAUSES PROBLEMS TO THE BABIES AND PREG. BUT USING COMON SENSE...IF A WOMAN IS ALREADY HEALTHY AND HAS A HEALTHY PREG BEFORE...THEN GETTING PREG ON CLOMID DOESN'T CASUE HER TO HAVE A UNSUCCESSFUL PREG..IN FACT HER CHANCES OF HAVING A SUCCESSFUL PREG IS SO MUHC HIGHER THAN THAT OF A WOAMN WHO HAS NATURAL FERTILTIY PROBLEMS AS HER BODY IS NOT 'USED' TO CARRYING A SUCCESSFUL PREG!IT IS THE HORMOMES WHILE CONCEPTION AND DURING THE COURSE OF PREGNANY THA CAUSES OTHER PROBLEMS NOT THE CLOMID. |

thank you.... |

WHY DO ANY OF THE WOMAN WHO CONCEIVED ON CLOMID BECASUE THEY WERE PRESCRIBED IT TAKE IT...ITS VERY VERY SELFISH ON THEIR PART TOO DON'T YOU THINK???TAKING A DRUG THAT MIGHT GIVE THEM 'A' BABY THEY MIGHT END UP LOOSING OR THEIR BODIES IS 'NATURALLY' TRYING TO GET RID OF OR NOT USED TO....???? |
||
|
||
|
AND I MEAN BY PROBLEMS....PHYSICAL OR SOCIAL....MANY WOMAN HERE WHO TAKE CLOMID UNPRESCRIBED HAVE A THEIR GENUINE REASONS...OTHERIWSE THEY WOULD RISK ORDERING A DRUG LIKE THAT..... |

"Onemorething" - you obviously have not read ALL of the posts. Many of us who disagree w/the use of unprescribed clomid do it for 2 reasons: the fact that these women are sometimes obtaining "clomid" off of internet and who knows what they could be ingesting, and 2 MOST of these women are only taking clomid because they want MULTIPLES!!! That is pure ignorance. People who have not carried/raise multiples have NO CLUE what it is like. ALSO, no one has said that clomid CAUSES birth defects! What we point out is that clomid DOES increase the chances of having multiples, as well as increase chances of hyperstimulation of the ovaries (which should not be taken lightly), and other issues with a woman. Now, with any multiple pregnancy, a woman is considered HIGH RISK. That is for many reasons - both for mommy and baby. In multiple pregnancies, your chances of having issues with a baby(ies) increases because you are having more than 1. Not to mention the fact that your chances of pre-term labor, and premature babies increases also. That is where problems can also occur - for example cerebral palsy. I wonder how these women who WANT twins/triplets would handle a child who (GOD FORBID), had a disability, or birth defect. |

To OneMoreThing: If you guys are such "naturally healthy women", then why in the world are you taking clomid, unprescribed even? Oh yeah, that's right, because you want multiples. You NEED the attention. Not one person said that taking clomid causes birth defects. What us mothers of hom's are saying is that when you carry more than one baby, it's considered a high risk pg. This means that you could end up in the hospital on bedrest for some or all of your pg, you could be dealing with preterm labor, babies that come too early and may have some severe issues, babies that stay in the NICU for extended periods of time, etc, etc. None of us triplet moms who conceived our triplets with the help of a doc or drugs went into it asking for triplets. In my case, I just wanted a baby. I totally understand this need and desire for a baby, but I just don't understand why you guys are purposely trying to have multiples, therefore putting these precious babies you say you want so much at risk. Also, yes it is STUPID to take a drug that you bought off the internet and is unprescibed. You have no idea if you're getting the right stuff. Good grief people, go to a doctor. |

Also a note.. I think what Yas2000 refuses to READ in all these posts is the FACT that Clomid is LESS risky for women who are INFERTILE, as these are the women Clomid was DESIGNED FOR. SO... an infertile woman is less likely to develope any ugliness in herself ( cancer, cysts, hyperstimulation) and ALSO less likely ( then a fertile woman) to have a multiple pregnancy..... and have all the risks associated with that. An infertile person is not ASKING for that potential heartache. YOU are. AND, you are doing it illegally, immorally, and unethically. You are risking babies unnecessarily, just "because you want multiples". THAT is what is wrong here. THAT is what is being argued against. If you WANT to pursue this course, TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR, be responsible, and STOP telling unknowns on this site ( and others) how WONDERFUL the idea/experience with unprescribed clomid is.... you have NO idea who is reading your illegal, immoral advice. TEENS read this stuff... and because of YOUR encouragement and "information", THEY could be buying Clomid to have twins... Do you REALLY support THAT???? |

This post has totally changed directions from sandiya's beginning posts. The people who are responding on this post do no sound like women who should be mothers. Children are a blessing from God, not something you create by taking medication. If He intended for you to have multiples, dont you think he would have given them to you naturally? And if you are wanting many children the same age, why dont you people adopt? There are millions of babies in adoption centers seeking loving homes. Im all for doing whatever you want with your body, but just think about some other options too. I mean, ultimetly, if it is not in God's plan, not amount of fertility drugs with help you get pregnant.... |

"Wanting".. although I am by no means supporting the use of unprescribed fertility drugs..... I don't know if you have researched this or not ( I have) but adoption is a long process, very risky, and EXPENSIVE! So, although I support the IDEA of adoption, for many people, it is just not a realistic option. Did you know that the average "cheap" adoption still costs you around $16,000? and that MOST of this money is needed all at once? Did you know that if you adopt in the US, the birth parents can change their mind, you will lose the baby, and you will be OUT all that money, so you may not be able to try again? How about the fact that in MOST foreign countries ( foreign to the US) adoption is not "open" so you travel to the country with little more then permission to adopt within an age range, but no guarantee that there will actually be a child they will allow you to take home.... Also think about the fact that MOST countries require adoptive parents to spend some time in country visiting, etc, before they will allow the adoption to go through.... and that with many of them this time line is several weeks long.. so even if you DO manage to come up with the money, DO have a child available, and ARE approved, you have to stop working for a month or more so that you can process your adoption... Not many can afford that! So.. although I am by no means in support of this use of this drug, the advice to "just adopt" isn't very realistic advice.. it is just not that easy. I think the real advice here is... you DO NOT NEED several babies all at once, and you SHOULD NOT risk them just for the chance. Natural multiple pregnancies or multiples as a result of true infertility treatment.. Bless You. You have a hard road ahead, and i know you would never ask for the risk and heartache you may be in for.. |
