At 9 weeks your baby is only .9 of an inch. There is no way that you could feel the fetus that early. Also, the bones have not even hardened to feel movement.

bump

wow my thoughts are its not possible to feel the babies moving at 10 weeks because of the knowledge of where babies are in there development and such. Especially not able to feel a bulge move away...that is really weird.

I have a ? for all those who have twins - I just found out I'll be having twins and was wondering about registering for them - I was sure that I saw on the news a while ago, that there was a particular department store or something, that if you register for twins, they give you the 2nd item of whatever you register for, for free! Like, if I was to register for a stroller, they give you a 2nd for free...Does anyone know what I'm talking about - or am I just nuts????

Wish I knew, but I do know that Babies R Us will give you 10% off of the second same item bought (i.e. 2 highchairs, 2 baths, etc.). I didn't find that out until about a month ago and my twins are a litle over 4 1/2 mo. now. Good luck and let us know if you find out.

Hello everyone. It has been confirmed that I was having twins when I was 6 weeks and 5 days pregnant because I went to the emergency thinking I was having a miscarriage or something was wrong because I was having REALLY bad cramping since 3am and it got worst and worst as the morning went on and so I got admitted at 7am and at 8am they did an ultrasound on me and I didn't even want to look at the screen at that point I was bursting into tears because I thought I was going to lose my baby and boy what I shocker! She ask's me... "so how many babies do you want?" HUH??? I almost passed out but that was great news for I was expecting the worst and a huge weight lifted off of my shoulder that's for sure! Today I am 7weeks and 4 days and I haven't felt anything yet.. I cannot wait to though!

gemdenoel - October 19th, 2009 7:30 PM

just to clarify- it is a 16/17 wk pregnancy - and probably 13/14 wk fetuses. am I right to be asking for the second opinion of an obgyn as opposed to just a general practitioner- or am I being too pushy.
