YES YOU CAN! I know a woman who had "twins" but one of them was conceived after the other. She was part of a research study on endometriosis and conception so they were doing extremely frequent ultrasounds from the get-go. On the first several months' ultrasounds only one baby was there, then 'voila', the second one appeared but was obviously much, much smaller. I also watched a dateline show where a pregnant woman was cheating on her white husband with a black man and had "twins" one white, on black. It happens all of the time in the animal kingdom, and can also happen to humans, although it is very rare. Please don't call people ignorant just because it seems improbable to you!

First, I just want to say: holy jesus I had no idea that this many idiots are on the internet. All of you are just spewing off stories you heard or what you think the right answer is even though you have no clue. Sooo scary. Second, a quick search proves that what you are talking about is POSSIBLE. But extremely, extremely rare.

ROME -- An Italian woman who will give birth twice within the space of three months has described her incredible pregnancy as "a gift from God".

Flavia D'Angelo, 20, will this month give birth to Denise, a baby girl. She will then have to return to hospital within the next three months to deliver three more babies, a girl and two boys.

If no complications arise, she could become the first woman ever to be pregnant for 12 months in a row.

Thank you so much!! I have posted twice that it is possible and even with the medical name and people still don't seem to either believe or learn! My God people are dumb!

I am a nurse with a 4-year university degree and I asked my boss an obgyn with 35 years experience(we both work at a university hospital) and yes although it is extraordinarily rare, you can get pregnant with two different fetus's at two different ponts in pregnancy.. There was a very famous case in britain in 2004 of a woman who was pregnant and got pregnant again when she was 4 months pregnant. Also on Maury povich there was a woman who had DNA testing on her twins and each of them had a different father! Your timing would have to be so careful and you would just have to release more than one egg in a cycle. My suggestion to Brian? Request DNA testing it never lies but people can. Good luck

oh yeah and of course you can absolutely have a double uterus however unless you're lucky and they're cycles coincide you would have 2 completely different cycles and subsequently menstruate for the entire month and i'm sure she and Brian would remeber that one!

More power to you. if you cant thats just fine with me.All you people are doing is fighting. If you think you can why cant you just say_ yes you can. no, you can't get get pregnant 3 months after you are pregnant.
You can have a twin after you are pregnant. I have a set of g/g twins that were a late division. Once you are pregnant, you can have the egg split when the cells are div. When you have a late division, you get one twin that is "older" than the other one. The split is not "normal" but not unheard of (another form of very late division results in "conjoined twins" which we did not have). One twin was and still is larger than the other twin (they act like they are about a month different with their physical features (our little baby had no hair and no eyebrows while the bigger baby had a head full of hair and eyebrows...little baby had probs keeping warm and needed moniters and an isolette while bigger baby could see me while I was in my hospital room). I have ultrasound pics with one baby and then pics with 2 babies a few months later. The doctor found out about the second baby at 18 weeks when the doppler picked up an echo when checking the heart rate. Baby "b" was no place to be seen at week 8 ultrasound, but baby "a" was in site with a heart rate and all...doc thought that baby "b" was too small at the 8 week mark to be seen (there, but smaller around 5 weeks). Both girls were born on the same day (if you go into labor with one you can't stop labor for other baby with very rare instances of very preterm labor and mag. sulfate).
So, to recap while I was rambling...you can get "pregnant twice" if you have a single egg that is fert and then divides into twins. You can NOT get pregnant with a baby 3 months later unless you have like 2 of every baby making organs in your body...and in that case, the baby that is 3 months younger is going to be in trouble, it will be born early! When you go into labor your whole lower body tightens up....NOT one little isolated spot where baby's making your muscles contract! Plus, if you irritate a uterus, you will stimulate a response (labor).

Hi everyone. I am 17 years old and i am 5 months pregnant. I asked my doctor about this and he said that as long as you dont have a period, then its not possible for you to get pregnant while already pregnant. Thats why the Depo works so good, because most people that use the depo dont have a period.

How do your period come when your pregnant? Like irregular comes every now and then.

I have a bicornate uterus which is a double womb but only one cervix. I think that once your pregnant your body produces no more eggs to fertilise until some time after your baby is born, unless you do get a period then you must sill be ovulating but it would be rare. I was diagnosed with pcos at 14 years old when they removed 2 tumors from my right ovary and cut half out then burned them both. So for the past 9 years, I'm now 23 I have done continuous research on all matters related to fertility as I was told I would never have children. But please just take this as what I have studied for myself and not as fact as I have no qualifications ofcourse. Also to my delight I have 2 extremley healthy little boys under 3. I am so blessed.
