YES IT IS POSSIBLE TO GET PREGNANT WHILE STILL PREGNANT. 2 YEARS AGO I WAS 5 MONTHS PREGNANT WITH A LITTLE BOY AND WAS HEART BROKEN WHEN I ENDED UP HAVING A MISCARRIAGE. I WENT BACK TO THE DOCTOR FOR A CHECK UP AND I WAS PREGNANT AGAIN. NO I HAD NOT HAD SEX SINCE MY FIRST PREGNANCY(4 months) AND DID NOT KNOW THAT IT WAS POSSIBLE . SO YES ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN.

if you were 5 months it is not a miscarriage it is a stillbirth-it happened to my sister last month and she had to deliver her baby dead- also caught an infection- there is no way another baby could survive in the uterus after that...

my best advice is to call around contacting ob/gyn drs to get their opinion at the same time reasoning what others are saying on this website regardless of what others are saying about others (meaning jennifer)

I would advise u to call around contacting OB/GYN drs to do some research at the same time reasoning what others are saying on this websites of their experiences regardless of what others are saying against others (meaning jennifer)

This is my first time visiting this site and I am amazed at the argument that lasted these 7 or 8 months. Lets get back to the pregnancy issues...I am 6 weeks pregnant and I started having symptoms before I even missed my period. My fatigue and nausea is alot stronger this time around (baby #4), and I can already feel pressure on my bladder. I'm wondering if I might be carrying twins. Anyone with experience can respond....In response to Leticia's question... Normally doctors wont let a woman go 2 weeks past her due date, the risk of having a stillborn baby gets higher. The amount of amniotic fluid starts to decrease and the placenta starts to shut down. Also the baby could continue to grow, increasing your change of C-section. There are other factors that make it dangerous to stay pregnant too long, but I cant think of them off the top of my head...I'm sure there are some stories about a woman carrying for 2 years or so, ha ha, but you should do some investigation on your own with credible sources. In response to Felicia...Im not sure what fetal age the sex can be determined thru ultrasound, but I do know this....up until that point, the male and female genitalia of the fetus resemble each other. The female clitoris resembles the male penis. As the fetus grows, the clitoris shrinks while the penis enlarges. Visit your local library to read up on these issues...If you can, find some college books on the topics to give you more detailed information.

i know someone with two uterus, she was only able to carry her child for 7 months and they told her she would not be able to carry again or it may kill her.she also had 2 sets of ovaries, and 2 cervix,so it is not a freak show it is massive headache for her.

I actually saw this on oprah a long time ago a woman gave birth to a black baby and a white baby at the same time. She cheated on her husband with a black man and wound up pregnant while she already was, so it is possible, but very very unlikley. I dont know the actual circumstances that make it possible, but it did happen

can a woman get pregnet after one day of her period?

Deb - January 21st, 2005 2:02 PM

Yes, I conceived while pregnant, and miscarraiged. I got pregnant again, and again misscarriaged, but still carried the original fetus!! So I guess I'm from a freak circus too, hey? I understand it's common in cows, but very very rare for humans...I went through hell, because I didn't know what was happening!! Each time I miscarriaged, I got an ultrasound and there was still a fetus there! I had actually physically brought in the two other fetuses that I miscarriaged!
