It can happen although rare..
SUPERFETATION
Superfetation occurs when a women ovulates more than one egg but the eggs are released at different times, sometimes up to 24 days apart, and they are fertilized when they are released. The resulting twin pregnancy has different conception dates, so the babies may be quite different in size. Days or weeks may separate the births. It is quite an unusual event. In some cases, the births of twins may be weeks or months apart due to deliberate medical intervention. This is called interval birth.

Barbie---Hi, I have a septated uterus and it went from top to thru my cervix and just found out yesterday from Hysteroscopic surgery that i also had two vaginas.....they were going to attempt to resect my septum but they didnt have time after making my vagina into ONE---so I will be having surgery again in June......you have ONE uterus--you should do just fine.....me having a septum puts me very high risk of miscarriage.....see if you cant get to a Reproductive endocrinologist they are very informative on Mullierian duct formation. Good Luck!

i know a sweet little girl who is what medical experts call a "viter". she was born with just about two of everything! including two utereses. she has a lot of problems but is a fighter. it is possible for these things to happen and top researchers meet up from all over the world to discuss her.
