As a parent of fraternal twins, I'm curious to know if it'll happen again. Does anyone know of the existence of a test that can detect how many eggs a woman is typically dropping?
Thanks!

i have asked the same thing on this site and no one has answered .i guess they could probably give you an u/sound around o time to see how many there are.
i would imagine that if you were taking fertility treatment that would effect the out come considering that they have a tendancy (in some) to overstimulate the ovary.
i have had twin girls on 50 mg clomid and am just about to take 100mg and i wondered what the chance of another set were but no body answered so i assumed that no body has ever come across it .
good luck to you any way.!!!!!

i'm only 12 weeks with twins and haven't heard of any tests like that. i do know that once you have had twins, your chance of having another set is increased. good luck!

They can do a vaginal ultrasound. When they put me on fertility drugs they did vaginal ultrasounds every month to see how many eggs were there and what their sizes were.

Doctors cannot determine how many eggs you have. They can only see how many "follicles" you have which release eggs. In my case I had 1 follicle BUT I released 2 eggs which were fertilized & we concieved twins.
Hope this helps a little.

I actually saw that I ovulated 2 eggs (follies) today on a u/s. I am 1dpo today, and the tech could see them in my tubes
