Hi Ashley, |

MarieAsher - Thats so great-finally someone else! At first I was really freaked out but the closer I get to 12 weeks the more I have calmed down about it. I have seen them on u/s and heard their heartbeats multiple times and they are both growing really good - so all this helps me to stay calm (even if its just a little). I am espicially cautious about the vanising twin syndrome because I was also a twin and my mom lost it around 3 months and there have been quite a few other women in my family that that has happened to as well. Dont get me wrong I am so excited its twins but I am also realistc that 1 may not make it. But like I said the closer I get to 12 weeks the more relaxed I am getting about it. I have been very careful not to get to attached to the idea of twins but I cant help it. |

Hi, I just found out that I am having twins too! It would be nice to talk to some one who knows what I am going through. At first we thought that the second egg sack was going to vanish because the ultrasound couldn't find anything inside. When I went back a week later, it was there, heartbeat and everything. I am very freaked out and didn't expect this! I am only 7 weeks though so really early. I am here and looking forward to hearing from anyone pregnant with twins. |

azil - Welcome and congrats on the twins! I wish I could say something to reassure you that both twins will be fine, but I like you, was very nervous about losing one. No matter what anyone says there is always that possibility. I can tell you though when you make it to 12 weeks, then it feels like a HUGE weight is lifted off your shoulders and you can relax. Take it easy and just know that God knows what he is doing. |

Hi Ashley, I am not feeling so good. I am afraid and alone most of the time so I am terrified. My husband is always away at work. He is gone a month at a time. He might get to come home for 2 weeks, but sometimes less. I can't say that I am excited about this pregnancy. It is my first and will be my last. I can't seem to find any resources on how to raise two by yourself. I don't know what to do! Do you have any other children? If you know of any sites that tell you how to cope with twins please let me know. |

I am sorry to hear you are having such a hard time and I am sorry even though you are married you feel like you would be raising 2 babies on your own. I have ready on many sites that it is completly normal to not be excited about twins right away and to even hate the idea. It takes some women a long time to accept it. You have to realize that every baby is a blessing, no matter if they come alone or in quads. |

Hey ladies, i'm not having twins...not even pregnant yet, but i thought i'd share with you that a good group of ladies is on the wte (What to expect) site. They have all sorts of boards from the month you're due to hot topics to multiples. you don't have to "belong" to anyone group. We all hop around. Its a great group of girls. I'm on the dec 08 board, i think you'd really like it. Best luck and H&H 9 months. |

Azil - I wanted to especially reach out to you because it seems like we are feeling similarly right now. I'm about 7.5 weeks pregnant right now, and just found out I have TWO healthy embryos. I feel like I'm still in shock. I thought I could handle one... my husband and I have a little money saved up, and our combined incomes could have covered things comfortably. But now with TWINS... My husband has ~3 years left of grad school where he only gets a small stipend and works around 80 hours/week (quitting or working less is not an option for him). I am the main breadwinner, but my salary is about equal to sending two infants to daycare, so it seems like I have to quit! I have no family even remotely close by, and have no idea how a family of 4 could possibly get by on my husband's stipend. I AM SO SCARED! We've always been so careful with our money, but this really threw us for a loop... |

mixedmessages- Try not to freak out. I already have 3 children, and am now pregnant with twins. Kids are not as expensive as everyone makes them out to be!!! Buy things used off of craigslist, and as for daycare, I really think a home daycare is better for infants. And, it's much cheaper. A home daycare provider will hold your babies 5x as much as a normal daycare would. You can even try to hire a nanny/ au pair- and it is usually cheaper than a normal day care also. If you use formula, and don't qualify for wic, you can buy it off of ebay (it's almost half the cost!) You can make your own baby food (saves soo much money, and tastes soo much better!) |

Hello:) I found out I was having twins when I was 7wks gestation. I am currently 10 weeks pregnant going on my fifth c-sec and my kids being ages 6,4,2, and 1. I am excited to have twins since twins run on my husband's side of the family with his grandma having 3 sets of twins herself. I am looking forward to posting more threads on here after my c-sec, and letting you all know what it is like to have 5 c-sections. :) yey! BABIES RULE! :D |
