I thought it would be fun for everyone already pregnant with twins, to list the problems they are having. IE Difficulty sleeping, hard to walk, feet hurt. etc.

My hands keep swelling, I can't stand up for more than and hour without lying down for an hour, no matter what side I try to sleep on the baby on that side decides it would be fun to kick mom, I flip and the other baby starts in. I couldn't eat or keep anything down for the first 15 weeks or so, but it was a great diet. I had a low lying placenta causing bleeding at about 15 weeks so I was on modified bed rest for three weeks, (that means if it is fun you can't do it), but everything is fine again now. Everything hurts, back, front, top, bottom- EVERYTHING. And time is standing still…..only three months left, LOL

Baliezer - I seem to be responding to all of your posts! Let's see as of right now - I have carpal tunnel syndrome in my right hand due to one of the girls laying on a nerve. My middle and ring finger of that hand are constantly numb. It would cause terrible pain at night - so now I sleep with wrist braces at night. As mrssolo said no matter what side I lay on I can't get comfortable - the baby on the side I am laying on will kick me like she is telling me "Roll over mom, your squishing me!" So I roll over and the other one does the same thing. I get up every hour to pee - sometimes the best place to sleep is my recliner. Oh, and I have extremely bad heartburn. But through it all I just feel so blessed and have truly enjoyed every minute of it - including all the difficulties!!

Well, to add to the list, my hands, face and feet swell. I can't remember what ankles are. Most of the time when I walk, it feels as if I am about to give birth to a knife. My back hurts, I could use a little more oxygen and I have PUPPS which is like having a really bad case of poison oak or ivy that won't go away. I can't sleep well. Some of it is itching and most is switching from my left to my right side every 20 minuites. I look at my belly and I can just imagine the scars I have to look foward to. I know twins are a blessing but for me, this was unplanned and came at a very bad time. My husband of 6 years told me he wanted a divorce a month before I found out I was pregnant. So now, we are going through court to settle custody for our unborn twins and our 2 year old son. Definatly not how I ever imagined my life would turn out but you can't be with someone who wants freedom to be with other woman. Other than that, this pregnancy hasn't been too bad, it could always be worse.

Not pregnant anymore but when I was, my feet would sting in the morning. It hurt so bad to walk. My crotch area felt like I had been kicked by a horse about 100 times. I could be completely naked, floating in a pool and still feel incredibly uncomfortable. I was out of breath like I had run a marathon when all I did was get out of a chair. I kept running into things with my stomach like that door frame and walls because I misjudged the distance or width. :)

LOL I walk into things belly first two and I knock stuff off the table and counters all the time. Samehere I have the chair problem too, you would think I was stuck to it the amount I time I sit there and and try to get up the energy just to stand up. Butterly#1 I'm sorry you had to go through that at such a time, but my sons father was the same way, he had a girlfriend while I was pregnant come to find out. I'm much better off without him and very happy now with my husband. I wish you nothing but happiness and hopefully things will settle in court and you will be able to have a good relationship for the kids. ds's father has been in and out of our lives for 9 years now and sometimes I wish he would just disappear, lol, but my magic skills aren't that good.

My belly got in the way all the time. One time I was ironing DH's shirt and the iron grazed my belly so I had a burn line on it. Boy did that hurt!

Back pain, back pain, back pain!! It hurt like hell with the twins & is even worse with this singleton. Between carrying the baby in my belly, carrying the twins who are now almost 15 months old, & carrying my boobs...I may need traction!!! LOL Oh & that out of breath thing...asthma anyone??

mrssolo - September 10th, 2007 4:30 PM

Corona I feel your back pain, or maybe that’s mine. It is so unbearable most days. My pain is in the tailbone and I can't get relief from it. I can't sit, stand or lay without the pain. Asthma, I have had since I was 5 yrs old so it has just gotten worse. I can't wait until I can just sit around and gestate.
