Progesterone And HCG Levels With Twins?

My 5-wk bloodwork showed HCG levels of 15800 and progesterone 78. These seem a bit high, especially the progesterone, and my 8-wk ultrasound isn't for another week and a half. Not knowing anything about these numbers is making me crazy! So, for those of you who have or are expecting twins, what were your numbers like early on? Will an u/s at 8 wks give a definite answer? Thanks!

My HCG at 20 dpo which is almost 5 weeks was 4710. And at my 8 week ultrasound I saw my 2 babies and their little heartbeats. So my guess is you are pregnant with twins or miscalculating when you conceived.

Actualy, the only sure fire way to tell if it's multiples is by u/s. High levels, exagerated symptoms & showinf early are not in anyway conclusive. Some women just get high levels. My sister did with all 3 of her singletons.. My levels were low with twins.
